we have a newer house and the last thing on our «to do» list was back yard lighting. we have dogs and they like to go out in the evenings when it’s cool/​dark to play and we could never see them.
i put out a few bids, which was interesting. one company was crazy expensive, but never actually got me a bid (after around 2.5 weeks), and the other company told me that «i already knew enough» and decided to no show the bid. fwiw, i have a pretty complicated install that integrates with my home automation system.
darren came by to check out the job quickly, gave me good information and was able to recommend products based on our budget and our needs. a few weeks later we now have a fully lit backyard including uplighting for our beautiful live oak trees, and downlighting to cover the yard so we can see the dogs. additionally, he installed downlighting for the deck and side yard that we have.
all in all, the install job was amazing, and darren was very receptive to trying new things and letting me help with part of it (the tech side).

Darren Whitt and patriot lighting solutions did a tremendous job for us on our backyard landscape lighting project. Darren was punctual and worked with one crew member Marcel. They were polite and did fantastic work wrapping a giant pecan tree in the backyard, and lighting a Mexican fan palm and providing ambient lighting throughout the backyard. The pricing was reasonable and the effect is fantastic! Highly recommend them!

We hired Patriot recently to install outdoor lighting at our home. We had a system installed from another lighting company in austin … 2 years later most of the lighting no longer works. With no warranty on bulbs or fixtures we decided to be done with the headache and get new quote to fix or replace our lighting. Patriot was one of those that we called to help us out. With the 15yr warranty i have on my new fixtures and bulbs my mind is at ease. My house is now absolutely beautiful at night! Thanks Patriot ! Very pleased with the job they did on the outside lighting! A great crew. Reliable, reasonably priced, pays attention to small detail and really cares about the overall finished product. Very good company to go with for lighting!
