Stay away from this company at all costs. The worst moving company I’ve ever used… I bought a Groupon and they tried to increase my rate the day of move by the value of the Groupon. Secondly, they brought showed up late, brought one less guy than I paid for, and wasted the first 45 minutes cussing someone else on the other line(I think their manager) about how they better send someone else to help. After they got off the phone they told me that they weren’t going to be able to move us because one guy didn’t show up. When I told them I had to be out the next day, they got upset and started moving us. They damaged my brand new stainless steel refrigerator and our new washer and dryers. They said they’d take care of it and asked me to send them pictures of the damage, which I did several times and they said they’d have someone contact me to fix them but this never happened. If anyone needs the emails from me and their owner, Abraham, telling me he’d get it fixed and then making excuses, I’m happy to share. Being nice I gave the guys a good tip since they were short handed, but I really regret having done that now.

This move was simple, direct & cost effective, I called 5 companies, no one who come out & do a visual for my move. So I had set up a onsite visual which they came out the following week, on time, was quick went through each room & didn’t waste anytime, the rep was respectful at all times & very helpful. I heard from him later on & received a quote, their were 2 other companies who had lower rates but I choose to go with them considering they came. I went ahead & booked, they where on time, did a great job doing a completed package on all my stuff, and wasted no time on loading up the truck. They also where able to place my stuff in storage for free for 2 weeks since my choose on the house was to be determined. If i got the job i would be stay in Austin if not i was going to Missouri. I got the job in Austin so my move was very smooth, through out. my stuff was treated as if it was theirs, and over all was very satisfied with their services. Thanks

Well it has taken awhile to get things resolved with One World. I originally had requested a manager to contact me to discuss my issues. But didn’t hear anything back. Eventually Abraham contacted me to discuss the move and what went wrong. This man really cares about his business and its image. He listened to my concerns and let me know he was working to get things turned around within his company. He had new people at the top to make sure things went better for his customers. He wanted to make sure his company improved its customer service. Well Abraham, contacting me yourself was the right move. Companies make mistakes. It’s owning up to them when things go wrong that shows me character. We discussed compensation for my troubles and Abraham was very willing to make things right for me and my family. In the end we received a refund of $ 200 after paying $ 286. Hopefully Abraham has put the right people in place and next time we will have a better experience in our move. Good Luck sir

I purchased a Groupon for this company a few months back. Before buying it, I called the owner, Abraham, to confirm that the cost of the Groupon included 2 movers for 2 hours. I was assured that this was the case, so I made the purchase. When I called One World to schedule the move, I was told I owed an additional $ 300ONTOP of what I paid for the Groupon. The receptionist said that the Groupon only covered two movers for two hours, and began to list an absurd list of charges it did not cover. One world was not even providing the truck, simply the movers/labor. Needless to say, this company and the owner cares more about nickel and diming their customers than providing quality service. The movers themselves were ok, but the owner outright lied to me. Not recommended under any circumstances.

BYFARTHEWORSTMISTAKE I EVERMADEBYHIRINGTHISCOMPANY. I hired One World Van Lines for my move. It was the worst moving company I have ever used. I have moved across the US several times and this by far was a disaster and I was only moving across town. They were never on time. They would tell you that start time is 8 am and they would show up at noon with some excuse. They are the company of excuses! Because they were so unorganized and short of packers and movers they worked until wee hours of the morning. Totally UNPROFESSIONAL. When I asked two of the workers packing if they had experience packing they said no not really. It was obvious. They didn’t even know how to put garment boxes together and ended up throwing all my business suits in the bottom of the box. What was suppose to take one day took two and they left the truck in my driveway and was still over three hours late the next day. They broke dishes, fine china, furniture chipped, puncture marks, pictures broken, etc. Too numerous to mention. But I took pictures of it all. And when I went to the manager to file a complaint. Nothing. The owner of the company said he would make it right and admitted that it was a disaster move. But never did. I thought he was an honest man and would keep his word. But I was wrong. Don’t believe a word they tell you. I don’t understand how he stay in business but I am sure it will all catch up with him in the end.

This company doesn’t even deserve one star. AVOIDATALLCOSTS. First, let me warn you that you get what you pay for. Sure they will schedule you when nobody else can and there are two reasons for that:(1) they hire people with no moving experience to get your business because every other moving company(who is credible) is busy and cannot fit you into their schedule and(2) all the good movers are booked up in advance. So if you are in a pinch and need someone quick, they will always be available. BUTBEWARNED… if you have anything of value, it will get scratched or broken. Their carelessness and unprofessionalism will damage everything you own. I went with this company because they gave me a better deal. It was $ 100 less than Apple Moving Company and $ 500 less than Einstein Moving. I wish I could take back my decision to save $ 100 because they caused $ 12,000 in damages. After trying to negotiate repairs and replacement for over 6 months, I still have not been reimbursed in any way. Every piece of furniture I had was scratched, dropped, dinged, broken, or torn. My antiques and irreplaceable heirlooms(which I specifically asking for special care and handling) were packed poorly and damaged beyond repair either during the loading or unloading of the items. They even damaged multiple walls in my house when they were moving items into the home. There was no care at all for anything they touched. And like the other reviewer, they were not timely. The move was supposed to take 1 day and they ended up taking 2 full days working from morning until 3 or 4 am at night. It is completely unprofessional to expect your clients to stay up until the wee hours of the night because you have poor planning and an inexperienced staff. They were supposed to arrive at 7am the second day, but didn’t show up until noon. After talking with some of the guys that were helping to move, I found out they had just been hired on and had no moving experience. And if you do decide to hire them, and they damage your belongings… don’t even waste your time trying to get repairs, replacements, or even reimbursements. They will continue to ignore the situation and hope that you will forget about it. You won’t get anything back… so don’t even waste your energy.
