I had James do some work on a couple of split stair treads inside my house. He showed up Tuesday and gave me an estimate, then showed up the next day and completed the work. James did a great job. Project cost was consistent with the estimate, work was done in a timely manner, and he cleaned up after himself! What more could you ask for? Will definitely use again.

I was replacing the interior doors in my house on a Sat and ran into trouble. I was under a tight timeline and had no idea who to call. Jumped on Unilocal and saw James’ Handyman Service, great reviews, gave him a call.
I described the problem I was having and the timeline constraints I was under. James offered to work on Sun, his day off, to help. Thank you James!
James called Sun morning and said he would be there early. He showed up on time and got to work. He worked door to door and got them all working properly.
I’ve had trouble in the past finding an honest, dependable handyman, no longer! James is now my go to person for all repairs.

When my last handyman that helped me with everything left Austin, I was left alone, scared and confused. Who would help me do all the things that I was too short and too woefully unequipped to do?
After going through a mountain of handyman that did subpar work, never got back to me, or just missed appointments entirely I was left with a ton of work to be done and no one able or capable of doing it.
Then James swept in like my Obi-​wan Kenobi and came through as my only hope.
I don’t think there’s anything this guy can’t reasonably do. We’ve hired him to do some electrical, plumbing fixture changes, cabinet hanging, and other odds and ends that would just be a disaster if I tried them myself. We’re even looking into having him do some remodeling work.
He is on time, really does thorough work and I can tell he cares about the quality. I put a lot of love and time and stroke inducing amounts of money into my home and it feels good knowing that someone else takes it seriously and doesn’t consider me another number.
If you don’t hire James after this review then you’re probably a scrub.

James did such a great job with everything we needed him to do. Very respectful and great to work with. Everything was done perfectly and neatly.

I received James’ info from a realtor friend, as he was on a list of preferred vendors, JUST AS HE SHOULD BE! James answered my call within the first few rings, was extremely polite, well-​spoken and more importantly, he listened to the details of the project I needed completed (install a drop in kitchen sink). His price quote was right on target and he was available on the date and time that worked for me. As expected, he arrived promptly at our scheduled appointment time!
While working, James revealed to me that he has been in the construction/​contracting business basically his entire life, and his work shows this! I mentioned to him that I had a secondary project (stairway chandelier install) and after he completed the kitchen sink, he moved on to the light. Both projects were completed efficiently, professionally and James’ work absolutely met my expectations.
I would not hesitate to recommend James to my friends, family and neighbors!
