The food here seemed to be tasty since there were many Indian folks dining here but the problem was most of the food on the buffet line was not available because they ran out. We asked for more of certain things to be put on the buffet line and he simply took our plates and scraped what was left of it onto our plate and brought it back to us. When we asked for more of their mango smoothie he took our cups and tipped the thing over so we could get the last drops left of what was in the container. The servings we had ended up tasting grainy and a bit thick since we got all the little pieces that sank to the bottom of the container. We asked for a booth but the server insisted on seating us on a table so we would be closer to the other diners. When we asked for a Coke and Dr. Pepper he brought us a Diet Dr. Pepper. He insisted it was the same thing as the regular Dr. Pepper and that«it’s ok, we should just drink it». The food here was a bit too spicy for our party and the service was not any help to get us back in so I doubt we will ever be coming back here. There is plenty of parking and the location is quiet and nice.

We finally got around to trying Paradise today and I’m so glad we did. We both did the buffet and everything was fantastic. I can now say that I’ve found the lentil soup that I always knew existed out there somewhere and Paradise has it. Wish I could make it at home like that. The goat was incredible, tender and great flavors. I’m a carnivore’s carnivore but the vegetarian dishes were so good I could easily just have those and be totally happy. Be aware that they like spices so many of the dishes have a bit of ‘kick’ but nothing was burning hot. Also, this is authentic, so you’re going to have some bones and cartilage in many of the meats so don’t go at it like it’s chicken nuggets. We love this place and are definitely going back.

Alrighty… Here’s what you need to know. Is the food good? Yes it is. Is the service good? That depends Should you drive halfway across town to eat here as opposed to anywhere else? Not really. Eating here is very much about knowing the system in place and how it works. Dining in takes a while. It’ll be a bit before you get your food. Likely to it being made on the spot. Food takes about 15 – 25 minutes to prepare in my experience. So don’t do dine in if you’re in a hurry. If you take out, call in advance. They’re a bit stingy with the refills on drinks as well. Food is decent. Indian food is growing increasingly competitive in Austin. With the main question being«Do I want to go out of my way to go there?» the answer for me is no. It is perfectly good Indian food with subpar service and a bit of a wait. If you’re in the neighborhood and want Indian food. Go here. If you’re an avid completionist searching for«the best» Indian place in Austin… give it a try(It might be more to your tastes than mine). If you’re down in Kyle and wanting Indian food… You probably have something comparable or better closer to your house. Granted… I have only had their goat curry and not their Biryani… which might just be akin to ordering a salad at McDonald’s. This is something that I’ll have to rectify one of these days.

So far best goat biryani in town. But no consistency. Chicken biryani — 2 * Goat biryani — 3*, it used to be 4 * a year ago. Resembles n tastes close to Hyd mutton biryani . Yet to try buffet.

This place is not clean. And the food isn’t that great. Veg biryani isn’t something you want to eat here. Come here if you don’t find anything else.

Meh. We arrived mid-way through lunch and there were 3 other people in the restaurant. They seated us at the furthest table from the buffet and put ice less water in our glasses, never saying a word. We sat there while 2 people stood behind the«bar» area for 6 minutes and didn’t approach our table. Turns out these were the Mexican cooks, and not the servers. Eventually we walked to the buffet on our own and began to pick through what was left. The raita was basically water, it didn’t even coat the spoon. The naan was hard and old, there were 2 – 3 pieces left in the pan. The chicken Tikka… well lets just call it Tikka because there was like 3 pieces of chicken in the huge buffet pan along with 5 gallons of sauce. The rice was dry. I asked our server«will there be more food put out» and he told me «No, I’m sorry» and walked away. He never even asked us if we wanted drinks with our food. What pissed me off is as we were leaving an Indian couple came in and checked out the buffet and asked the same thing I did«Are you going to replenish the food» and the same sever told him«right away sir» and rushed back to the kitchen. The food itself, although sitting out for too long, wasn’t terrible but the service was. I may get their $ 5 to go Biryani but I won’t be eating in again.

I’m disappointed that the regular menu isn’t available during lunch, because this is one of my favorite Indian restaurants. The dosas were new to me, and the saag is of a texture that my Indian friend found really appealing — it’s neither rough nor pureed. Also, I like that the onion pakoda isn’t excessively breaded. It was really exciting to find an Indian restaurant with a menu full of items I hadn’t had before, and the music they play in the kitchen is pretty good. Also, very convenient late hours.

As an Indian person who recently moved here from the east coast, I’m excited to have such a delicious place nearby! I’ve been there multiple times for their lunch buffet, it’s so good. It’s always a good sign when the place is packed with Indian customers! They have an extensive vegetarian section and non veg section. Also mango lassi! Can’t wait to go back!

First good sign: most of the customers were Indian. Second good sign: there were a lot of them. Third good sign: I went with an Indian co-worker whose family owns a restaurant over there. So he knows. He said some of the dishes on the buffet were very good, some were ok. He has high standards. It’s quite out of the way for me, it was good but not amazing, and my wife just WON’T EATINDIAN, so I am not about to become their best customer. There’s just too many decent Indian places that are more convenient for me unfortunately.

There is a weird sense of madness from the moment you enter this restaurant. The staff plays fast and loose and is unable to manage a large no of guests. Let me describe my experience there. The tables were missing silverware and they arrived 15 minutes after requesting it so we were waiting with the food in front of us. The first bite of the malai chicken felt like sinking my teeth into raw meat… They probably rushed and left the chicken under cooked. The spices were raw and you could taste raw ginger and garlic. There was no naan at the buffet and that arrived after asking for it three times. The constant barrage of people coming into the restaurant did not help their case. We ordered biryani(since it was not a part of the buffet) as soon as we entered the restaurant but they had supposedly not put in the order and we waited at additional 20 minutes for that. The dessert(gulab Jamun) was absolutely raw. Outside their buffet, their desserts are good but this was a total let down. The food is less than mediocre and a total disappointment.

Good Indian food from a different part of India, I did not get it clear. Very good service, though I think they went out to pick the mango for the mango lassi. It took forever to arrive. Appetizers were nice, the goat biryani was excellent. Nice rice. We ordered things medium, so I could eat it and my friend(who likes things very, very hot) could also enjoy it. At medium, it was still on the spicy side for me. I’ll go back, this was our 2nd visit.

I love this place. Every time we come we try a different dish. There isn’t anything we’ve had so far that has been bad. Watch the spice though… when they say it’s hot it’s HOT!!!

I only added a star because Unilocal won’t let me continue without one. My boyfriend and I decided to stop in and try it for lunch after he protested a bit since the last time he tried to go, he wasn’t approached or helped within 5 min of walking in so he never went back. My boyfriend is vegan so we weren’t sure if he could eat anything there and wanted to verify this as well. We never got to verify this since we were approached within 45 seconds and told they were having a private party, so we should leave. This was during lunch hours with no sign indicating such on the door. Looking around the restaurant, it looked like it was full of normal diners that probably didn’t know each other. I couldn’t help but notice that we were not the same race as everyone there and after being approached so quickly, being told to leave it just made us that much more uncomfortable. Oh well, we’re really good customers at many other restaurants and love Indian food.

Very nice place. People were very kind. Waitress helped me order something mild because i can’t handle super spicy foods. The food was great. Got spring rolls served with ketchup. Kinda weird, but it was actually good! I’ll be back.

Brings Hyderabad to Austin ! I went here a few times when visiting Austin area. The lunch buffet is great and they bring the Biryani with Mirchi-ka-salan. In most Indian Buffet places that I have seen, the Naans are not something to think about. But here, even the Naan tasted fresh and complemented the dish. I also had dinner here twice and the menu has a larger variety than other places.

My son and I had a wonderful dinner at this family run restaurant. I felt like I was in modern day India, with the Bollywood movie on the big screen and the modern décor. The food was out of this world good! But trust them on the spicy level, I got a level 2 dish and regretted not getting a one. My son had a level three and couldn’t stop raving about how good it was. By far the best thing was the Mango Lassa drink. I had four and my son, two. Now I go there frequently to just get my drink, and yes it has become MY drink of choice. Also, loved the enthusiasm of the the waitstaff and the fact that the busboy had the sweetest smile and spoke not a word of English. I adore going to restaurants and feeling like I’ve been transported to another world. Can’t recommend this place highly enough!

This is one great place to get spicy Hyderabadi style Biryani and some nice Andhra curries. I have been here a couple of times now. Food is probably 4.5 Stars for me. They have a great Buffet, really nice curries, vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Love their desserts — the Gajar(carrot) Halwa is awesome. The Idli’s and Medu Vadas are also very fresh and tasty. People really love their Sambar. I have friends who swear by the chicken and Goat biryanis. Side dishes on their buffet like Raita, Chutneys, salad are also of decent quality. My only complaint is, all the buffet entrees have a ton of oil and you feel really heavy afterwards. It is good to have a different Biryani option besides Teji’s on weekends — especially since Tejis makes a more North Indian style DUM Biryani and Paradise has a Hyderabadi style spicy Biryani. The sad part is their signature dish — Chicken Biryani is not a part of the buffet. They have a similar chicken pulav, but perhaps not the same. Lot of locals are ordering chicken biryani To-go and that is a good sign. Service/Staff — Staff is courteous, usually a greeter at the door when you enter. The water service is prompt and the dishes and bowls are same type, seem clean and new. They staff fills up the buffet items frequently and I have not had to wait for anything. This is also chain(I think) and hence they know what they are doing. Place is clean and spacious. Decent lighting and décor, probably not a date night kinda place but a nice lunch/buffet/to-go option.
