I was in need of some coffee and stopped here since my realtor was in the same complex. I ordered an Americano on two separate occasions. Both times the baristas were nice and the coffee was yummy. I think once I move here I will buy some of their coffee beans and try some food.

Little coffee shop with some pasties and sandwiches, and of course coffee! What else could a girl who lives coffee shops ask for? Illy coffee, check. Nice barista, check. Clean and quaint, check. Yep, not a chain and it tastes good. Hope this one is around a while.

This is a cool little café near my apartment! I got a large flavored frappé, but instead of espresso I use cold brew(it’s stronger than espresso when made correctly FYI!) with coconut and cinnamon :) It was really yummy, and it did the trick. The only downfall, causing 4 stars instead of 5, is that service was a little slower than I expected. The man working was nice and everything, and it wasn’t necessarily his fault. My only suggestion is they need more people working in the morning. I saw a «now hiring» sign out front so maybe that’ll change!

Unexpected find sitting in a nondescript strip mall in Onion Creek. Excellent Turkish coffee accented with a hint of cardamon served in a charming little modern café setting. They have a selection of tasty baled goods, breakfast items and sandwiches for lunch. Try the Damascus cookies if they have them. Staff and service overall were great.

Great quiet spot to stop by for a cup of coffee and some food. It’s usually not too crowded and the service is really good and caring. We ended up grabbing a Salmon panini and the Oprah Salad and very much enjoyed both. The latte could have had a little better pour :)

Such an adorable yet elegant place to sit on such comfortable chairs and feel like you’re in Paris for the day! You’ll be guaranteed to drink the most perfect latte along with such scrumptious delicacies! My favorite order is remembered every time by the owner and I couldn’t appreciate that more! So thankful my dear friend recommended me to check out this place! I’ll be back quite often! ;)

Opera Café is one of Austin’s hidden treasures. From their unique, delicious pastries to their outstanding coffee, Opera Café doesn’t disappoint! What’s more, the atmosphere and décor is gorgeous and tranquil – exactly what most of us desire when taking a coffee break. And their service is incredible; everyone gets the VIP treatment. Don’t miss out; head over to Opera Café today!

I recently found out about this place and WOW! It really is a gem, I love the variety of drinks and food items here, the staff is extremely friendly and is always helpful if you have any questions. This is a MUST try if you love coffee and a great atmosphere. The Irish crème iced latte is soo good!!!

We just discovered this little gem in onion creek and are excited to have another good breakfast café/coffee shop in south Austin. In addition to breakfast croissants, they have a light lunch menu with paninis and salads. Being a tea drinker, I was glad to see a large selection of tea, which is served in a good-sized teapot at the table. Of course you can’t leave without trying a pastry. We had the opera cake, which was like a tasty, layered tiramisu. The owners, a sweet married couple, provide excellent, friendly service. The café is small and cozy with some relaxing tunes. We’ll be back. :)

I stopped by here to waste some time before picking up my daughter. The service is impeccable! They greeted me as soon as I walked in the door. Explained to me exactly how everything worked. I ordered an iced chai tea and the chicken wrap. It was alright. I expected pita bread but it was more like a crispy tortilla wrap. I checked out their pastries, the reason why I stopped by here. I ordered a cupcake and a blueberry muffin. The cupcake looked very generic. It tasted about the same. I could have gotten half a dozen of these from HEB and it would probably be better. With all the good reviews for this place, I was sorely disappointed.

Coffee is good, but over priced. I paid $ 4.22 for a «large» Americano. The cup was 12oz. I know its in Onion Creek and all, but too much for a cup of coffee.

Please go now!!! The BEST chai tea lattes EVER!!! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. My friend that took me has eaten about everything on the menu and nothing has been bad. Turkey and feta panini with sun dried tomatoes was super delicious. I’ve found my new coffee place. Goodbye starbucks!

I live in Houston, but whenever I go to Austin, I make sure to stop by at Opera Café & Coffeehouse. In fact, I wouldn’t be lying if I said that I’ve made a one-hour detour just to get out here driving between Houston & San Antonio. Try it — you won’t regret it. Great coffee & tea, tasty desserts, and superb service!

We(the wife and I) stopped in for a quick pick us up before we headed home to Houston this past weekend. We had our travel mugs ready! The café is very nice. Small, but well decorated and cozy as you would expect from a café. Great natural lighting so a lot brighter than Starbucks and not nearly as noisy. The service was great. I got to sample the drip brew which was a little flat for my tastes. I decided on an Americano(double). My wife got the chai latte. They were very generous in filling our travel mugs and the price was better than Starbucks. They were quick so we only waited maybe 5 minutes. The Americano was good. My wife’s chai was a little on the milky side, but she still enjoyed every drop. And, that is likely from the size of our mugs. We will definitely return on our next trip to visit family in the area.

Really pleasant place that we plan on enjoying again and again. Prices are reasonable; actually quite fair, for the high level of quality items that they serve. Sandwiches are flavorful and healthy and an they have an appealing choice of options on the menu. A great choice for lunch or breakfast and even better for a pot of tea. I haven’t tried their coffee as I enjoy a good hot tea and Opera is a fine place to go for that experience!

Ate lunch there today with my boyfriend and thought the food and the service was really good! The restaurant is cute and decorated nicely. We were seated and waited on right away. I got the chicken Caesar salad and my boyfriend got the tomato and mozzarella panini. The food was super fresh and yummy! We didn’t order dessert(watching the waistline) but their cupcakes looked divine so will have to go back for one of those soon!

My overall impression is that this is a really new place and they don’t quite have it together yet. Pros: well decorated(but very feminine), nice music, really clean. Cons: Frappé tasted like plain milk, cupcakes taste like they were bought at Sam’s club, Starbucks prices, took almost fifteen minutes for a drink and two cupcakes with zero other customers in the store. There was a minute or two of miscommunication, as there was no menu posted and I was asked, «So what kind of coffee do you want?» After a few weird looks I think they realized I was confused because I didn’t know where a menu was(they were folded closed, and just looked like checkbooks that servers use). Once I picked a drink and tried to pay, the credit card machine wouldn’t print my receipt and I ended up being there much longer than I had planned. I think they just need to iron out a few wrinkles, and get into the swing of things.
