This shop sells beautiful Turkish pottery, linens, jewelry and carpets. The carpets are all vintage or antique carpets, in excellent condition, and are sold by Hussein, who will tell you every detail about their origin and design. It is a wonderful shop, and I look forward to going there again soon.

Great little shop full of authentic Turkish goods. We bought a couple pillow cases, but will be heading back for Turkish towels and bath robes. The staff was friendly and helpful. They even stayed open a little past closing to let us browse. We will definitely be back.

I just came back from the most CHARMING store! If you haven’t visited the new Magic Caravan over on Burnet, go check it out. The owner is a lovely man(I think his name was Huseyin) and he has a gorgeous dog, ZaZa a sweet lovable German Shepard. I wanted to buy soooo much while I was there! They have amazing hand loomed silk textiles, rugs, hand painted bowls, platters, vases, clothing, towels, robes, light fixtures. I bought a GORGEOUS«table cloth» that could easily double as a wall hanging(I plan to use it to dress my massage table) and three fun cat pillows — yes cat pillows. Talking with the owner I learned that he has his own silk farm that he actually uses to produce the hand loomed silks in the store. I have my eye on a gorgeous hand loomed piece… I’m sharing the picture with you, but please don’t buy THISONE: P I want it for myself!

This is the best place to learn about carpets, walk on them with bare feet, be awed by their beauty and craftsmanship, and find the perfect one for you and your space. Tribal rugs, kilims, Balouch rugs, and much more.

A new gem of crafts and artisanal goods in the booming Burnet Corridor. Got wind of this new shop opening this week, and as a fan of most things Turkish I was intrigued. Located in the small house that once housed Barbecue Mercantile,(just South of Billy’s on Burnet, but on the East side of Burnet, next to Sonic) the transformation could not be more complete. The cute little shop is filled with handmade Turkish crafts, textiles, ceramics and beautiful carpets. Smiling proprietor Huseyin has brought his favorite ceramic pieces, mosaics, tiles and rugs direct from Turkey and the care taken in the selection really shows. Prices are moderate for the most part, and the range is extensive. If you are shopping for a unique gift, a special accent for your home, or especially a handwoven rug, this is the place to stop in.
