After the rattle inn denied me access, I went to little Woodrow’s to wait for my friend. The bouncer was super nice and listened to my stupid rant about rattle inn which was super welcomed on my part. Their bartenders were friendly, the patio was nice and warm and I got to pet a bunch of dogs. They had good beer on tap and the service was really quick even when it was getting crowded. In the end, I’m glad the rattle inn denied me cause I think I found a new bar to frequent!

I haven’t had the food here, but I’m commenting on the service. Had it not been for Shelby behind the bar and the management, I probably would have given this place 2 stars. One bartender was completely ignoring everyone trying to get a drink. Shelby, who was on her break witnessed this and came behind the bar to serve all of us. She then went to finish her food, at which point, the useless other bartender still did not tend to the patrons. Shelby came back and did another phenomenal job. Also, the manager was so accommodating to our football game request, which didn’t go unnoticed. If you come here, make sure you go to Shelby.

A divey Seahawks bar with a very nice, shaded outdoor patio. Drinks are dirt cheap($ 3 for the frozen mimosa, which looked delicious and refreshing). Super chill atmosphere and very dog-friendly. There’s a taco truck out the back, but otherwise, I don’t think the bar serves any food(boo, I was hoping they would have chicken wings or something). We were here for a Seahawks game and although we had a great time(it was THE perfect place to watch a Seahawks game in Austin), service was slow since they seemed to be severely understaffed.

Little Woodrow’s is a Houston-based bar with a serviceable yet limited selection of beer, a moderate collection of televisions, and a taco truck out back for those who need something other than liquid sustenance. As of this writing, the best beer they carried was Southern Tier’s Pumking(one of my favorite pumpkin beers), but there wasn’t too much else that whet the palate from the beer selection. The girls that worked the bar weren’t extraordinarily talkative despite a relatively light crowd, but they adequately monitored your beer progression which is all that really counts anyway. The TVs were kind of marginal, and sound quality for games was pretty weak. One Taco made some pretty good al pastor tacos so there was that. Also, the crowd was really friendly and fun(especially the 3 or 4 Cougar fans who have apparently decided to make this bar their home). All in all, it’s basically a rather formulaic bar where you can watch football games and interact with people. I’d recommended it as a pre-game for some of the more interesting bars in the area.

The best place you would ever want to watch football whether its college or NFL. Good beer selection, beautiful bartenders, and perfect outside location, makes this my favorite spot in Austin.

This place has a really big patio area. That’s good when it’s perfect outside. If it’s cold as balls, hot as balls, rainy, or muggy, then you’re sitting at an old wooden table in that element, maybe with water spraying down on you. The tv screens aren’t that big, the beer selection is average. Everything about Lil Woodrow’s is ok. Which is just ok. And it’s a Seahawks bar, so fuck that.

End of the night in Austin and thought we would go here. Bad choice. Bartenders we awful. No joke, the bartender said she had«resting bitch face». They were rude and unresponsive. Both of these bartenders made it a point to ignore us. Bartenders depend on tips. These bartenders clearly don’t need the money. Don’t waste your time

If you want a drink go somewhere else. The bartenders are bitchy and completely ignore you. I’ve worked in the bar industry before my «real job». Seriously, if you’re bartending people are out to have a good time. No one needs a grey cloud around. Our bartender did she had a «Resting bitch face because her father was a state trooper»… Ummmm ok. Sorry but if you want a tip and money to pay your rent, serve your customers. She didn’t even ask us what we wanted when we looked right at her several times. Oh well. Poor thing. Hope she survives in this industry.

Worst bartenders ever. Stand around and do nothing. Lost sales and tip opportunity. Waste of a good atmosphere

Having lived in Houston for three years before moving to Austin, I’m very familiar with Little Woodrow’s. It’s a chill bar, with a great patio complete with misting fans! Good beer selection! Has a food truck in the back!

I’m at a «sports bar» and they won’t turn down the crappy music to play volume on an international sporting event they have advertised on their marquee.

While I did have fun here and the outdoor setting is great, there were a couple of things I was wishing it did better. A clear beer list would be helpful because the servers are way too busy to tell you what they have on tap. The taco truck was adequate but nothing amazing(do not order the chicken one, very plain). I was a bit confused by the turtle races they have. The races are entertaining, but the animal lover in me didn’t think it was all too appropriate. This is a place you want to visit later on in the night after you’ve had a few drinks and after you’ve eaten.

Great selection of beers on tap and bottles. Glad to find they have a touch tunes jukebox, however, don’t be the play next guy. So not cool. Service was great on a Friday happy hour. Love the west 6th area.

When visiting Austin a few months ago, we had been given suggestions of places to go that weren’t touristy. Keeping with that vibe, we continued to ask people at the places we were told to go where they’d go on a Fri night. One response was Little Woodrows. When we walked in, I was immediately reminded of a «cantina» style place I used to go in the Tempe AZ area all the time called ‘Dos Gringos’. It was this places décor to a T. Lots of «found» items, and high top bar table seating w/some booths along the sides. Since it was such a nice night, we stayed outside and since the bar area was packed we stood along one of the walls by One Taco. Their tap selection isn’t overly stellar, but I wouldn’t expect that here. They DID have a ton of local stuff that we can’t get in our area though. We also tried One Taco and were extremely satisfied. Their steak taco was great and I wish I had tried a few other varieties. Overall our experience was very chill, just what I wanted after a day of being semi-touristy. During the next couple of days we were asked by locals where we’d been so far and when we mentioned LW their response was always«Nice choice! That place isn’t usually found by out of towners!». When we come back to Austin, we’ll definitely be stopping here for a pint and taco.

This Sports bar is located on a busy 6th Street corner. Woodrow’s has plenty of bottle beers, as well as, plenty of ‘Tap’ beers. Do not depend on the drink menu for beer selection as you need to check what is currently available. They have cocktails, well drinks and Daily drink specials. This place has plenty of outdoor seating for those nice warm evenings. Plenty of TV’s to watch current college and pro sports. Seating outdoors are ‘Picnic’ type benches which accommodates large crowds. Since they have outdoor seating, I’ve noticed patrons are allowed to smoke. The other cool thing is that this place is ‘Dog Friendly’.

This isn’t a place I want beer from any time soon — here’s why: The setting is great — outdoors, on a popular corner near the west 6th lounges and bars, sports on television, etc. HOWEVER, their taps need to be cleaned! A cloudy beer not only looks bad, but it tastes bad. The fan/spray system is great in theory, but all the cool misty air blows too high and doesn’t reach the level of patrons. There seems to be some tables that get waitresses and others that don’t — not a great deal, there. It would probably be way better at night when drunk and not caring about the beer. Redemption is in their Cucumber Bloody Mary — that was a great vodka choice. 7⁄10 for that one.

Was trying to get away from the crazy college clubs and bars and found this place. This place is not as crazy as the other bars. The music was a bit of a hit and miss. The atmosphere is more on the older, working class, alternative side. I didn’t order anything besides water, and I had a sip of Blue Moon. Overall, it was alright, I’ve been to nicer bars.

You know those amazing drinks that don’t really taste like alcohol but mellow you out pretty quickly? This joint has those dangerously yummy drinks. Came here in a full suit for a wedding reception on a really hot Austin summer day with my boyfriend and another friend – I was not happy because we had a bit of time to kill. Luckily we found this joint. Ugh Woodrow’s, you could do so much better with a sandwich foodtruck partner – the tacos don’t do justice for your cocktails. Definitely go for the summer fresca. Holy shoot it’s like diving into a icy pool; it’s THAT refreshing. I almost one shot the whole thing. The cucumber mint soda is wonderful – the cucumber makes it super refreshing. You barely taste the vodka under the cucumber, which is exactly how I like it. Such an amazeballs summer drink. I’m a New Yorker, so I was veryyyy satisfied that the Blue Moon I got from tap came with a ginormous slice of orange. tl;dr summer fresca has refreshing cucumber taste. beer selection is great. lots of seating. skip tacos unless you’re really hungry.

I happened in here on my way to whole foods while looking for a place that had food and drinks! Well they delivered and delivered well in the drinks account! I tried their Green Room IPA which is made by a local brewer so that equals points in my book! I have to say I am giving 4 stars based off of their amazing patio! Seriously I am a patio person and this one blows all the others out of the water! This place got increasingly packed while we were there so come early to get a spot! Our server Autumn was great and was quick with a drink refill which is good or bad depending on how you look at it haha. There was pub crawls and bachelorette parties going on as well but, I feel like this is mostly a lical hang out! I wouod definitely come here for some day drinking! 2 margaritas and 3 beers for $ 22.00 or so, wow!

I love this place! It’s quaint … Usually not a word associated with bars but I can’t think of anything better to describe it, lol. There is street parking or a $ 6 lot 1 block behind it. As I looked around it was neat to see so many different groups/cliques of people in 1 place. There are booths, picnic tables, bar chairs, and indoor seating. This is our friends fave hangout and everybody knew them! It was like Cheers. I absolutely want one of these places near me! You can order a craft beer, cheap beer, wine, liquor– you name it. No food but there are 2 food trucks(1 at the place and 1 across the street) and you can bring food in. There is a sign that says«no one under 21& no babies» ha! The owner seems awesome, he let a baby shower happen, supposedly one of the regulars. They have a neat phone app you can download to purchase songs /get them played in the bar. The perfect place to spend a relaxing Saturday afternoon in the sun :-)
