this is probably in the top 3 favorite bars in Ausitn, it gets rowwwddyyyyyyyy Great on a Friday or Saturday night with a group of people or a few girlfriends. There is always a line but it goes by really fast. They also play amazing hip/hop dance music from today and the 90’s There is multiple bars, tables, seating options and outdoor and indoor dance floors. I’m usually too drunk to remember how the drinks taste but that’s typically of every bar in this area. usually a younger crown(recent college grads/young professionals)

There is a special place in hell reserved for the douchebag tall 20/30something white moron with dark hair that works here and trolls nearby bars to verbally assault women minding their own business because they are not dressed like bimbos. He gives the people of Austin, the men in particular, a bad name. Speaks volumes about this establishment to employ someone of such low character and zero class.

If you go to this bar make sure you pay in cash! This bar will rip you off! The bartenders don’t know how to do their job or just don’t care to do it. I stood at the end of the bar for 6 minutes(she ignored me the first time I wanted a drink so I timed her the second go around), waiting for her to take my drink order when the place was dead! I finally asked her if she was actually working or just talking to her friends. Her rebuttal to this was«I’ll get to you when I get to you. Your not my first priority». What!!! I’m not her priority!!! Excuse me but when your job is to make drinks and I am standing in front of you wanting a drink, I’m your priority! I won’t be returning to this bar again. If you like tasty drinks and prompt service don’t go here either.

The bar is pretty good on a Saturday night. The people are often in your space so be prepared to do the shove to get people out of your bubble. The prices are reasonable and nothing to complain about. There is a $ 10 minimum so keep that in mind if you are using a card. The music is probably the best part of the bar but unfortunately the sound system needs a bit of work.

some friends and I stumbled in here after driving from Louisiana, and boy did we have a blast. the bar staff was awesome, and the dj was very accommodating and graciously played ludacris for us, as we had just driven 8 hours to see him and the show got rained out. we definitely were misfits in a crowd that was predominantly wedding/bachelor/bachelorette parties(SO many different groups of them), sloppy college girls, and young businessmen(kinda douchey. definitely rapey). the different levels and openness of the bar is super awesome, and offered up some nice views of downtown Austin. not my typical scene, but we were still able to rage and have a good time, so there’s that.

The Ranch is okay… Nothing great… Nothing horrible… It’s a decent place that caters to YOUNGCORPORATE people who want to have fun and frigging party like crazy folk! Ratchet and whatever you call it. It’s a place you want to go if you want to hear some ghetto hiphop music, dance like a crazy person, watch your wallet, and have good but overpriced drinks…

I had a blast here a couple weekends ago on a Saturday night! I can’t speak to the drinks, but the dance floor was packed and the music was great at 11pm — a nice mix of top 40 hits over the years(brought back memories from high school and college) as well as old school rap(lots of good Jay Z classics). Of course it was all made even better that I was there with my sort of beau, even if he was sweating up a storm ;)

The establishment was so roomy and airy! Everyone from the door staff to the girls bartending were very friendly and personable. I would definitely return the next time I’m in Austin.

I came here in a Sunday after some football… our server was really friendly and the food was pretty good! The Carafe or mimosa was a great deal, and the round was decent. I definitely enjoyed my time here. Plus, you can go bar hopping all round the area, this is one of the spots that actually serve food.

If you want your feet to get stepped on and you want to get pushed around by a crowd of sweaty people, this is the place for you. It is a last resort bar that one of your drunk friends will insist on going to. The music is spastic top 20.

This place is amazing. They have like three clubs in one joined together from downstairs till you make it to the top. The place is full of people. Crazy full on Saturdays. This must be good for the business owner but for other attendees it’s ridiculous since there’s no way to maneuver. Anyways there’s a lots of drinks on the floor and the crowd is a little friendly. I don’t drink so I’m not sure about their alcohol prices but the music is techno, trance and dubstep with a little hiphop and international sounds in the mix. I only got to see one dj who was upstairs. He kept singing all the songs. If you’re from houston it’s a mini drink houston.

I’ve been here a handful of times with friends. Every single time I’ve been here I seem to be surrounded by creepy dudes and the unfortunate women they prey on.(That’s the other problem, I’ve never experienced a bar with so many sloppily drunk people. I’m talking full-out blitzed by midnight being carried out by friends.) The bartenders clearly have a problem overserving. The patrons have a problem with respecting one another. That’s a dangerous combination. I’m out for fun, so I’ll be at Kung Fu or the Dogwood where a guy will at least ask you to dance before he starts grinding up on you.(And I’ll be trying to convince my friends to do the same.) Bye, Felicia!

This bar was completely dead on a Thursday night, which is odd for me to experience since Thursdays are a big night in San Francisco. The bartender said it was cold outside too, after the consecutive days of rainfall during the week… but seriously? This is Austin… Texas’ version of Berkeley, a college town, downtown… where were all the party people? Being my last night in Austin I was a little disappointed at the lack of people wandering the streets and bars. The bartender was very nice — understood I was from out of town and we were looking for more of a «scene,» and was super chill about recommending other locations. He also recommended Café 24 which turned out to be a great all night diner that we hit up at the end of the night. The bar didn’t offer any wine and they had no «drink specials» so he mixed something with clear alcohol up for me. It was a nice drink, the first time I had had it… too bad I cannot remember the name now. The music was good, the bathroom was dirty on a dead night(pretty sure this is the only place the heater hits — it was like a sauna inside), but the space was fairly large. The Ranch failed me… but hopefully it was a little more exciting for others over the weekend.

Wow, what a great place to watch the game! Came here on Sunday to watch the Patriots and Seahawks games and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Firstly, though it’s an indoor bar, it’s on the second level and open on the sides so there’s lots of light and it’s HUGE. The bar stools are made of super comfy leather and the big fans blowing make you feel like you’re on an island somewhere. The bartender(forgot his name :() makes some amazing drinks. Ask for an Arnold Palmer, made from fresh squeezed lemon juice, or a bloody mary with cilantro vodka. They had some trouble getting all the games on the screens but they were up there messing with the cables for HOURS. Now that’s dedication. The fact that they don’t serve food is probably a blessing as you can bring your own food. I love having choice when I’m drinking! Also, they let us bring our dogs! Woo hoo!

Not a bar i would frequent. I had never been, as i rarely go to west 6th. This bar wasnt anything to recommend. Crowded with the people who cant hang on rainey and are too old or too«classy» to be caught at any dark bars. Kelly S represented this bar in PERFECTFORM. Just going to piggyback on that. I wont be back. Until i feel the need to immerse myself in the jersey shore meets real house wives of orange county that was crossbred with the real world 1998.

Douchebag central. If I wanted to go to an awful place like this I can go to some of the awful 2nd avenue bars in Manhattan. I did not expect to see a place like this in Austin. It’s big but filled with an awful crowd and the bartenders were not making good drinks. We decided to ditch this place after 30 minutes. Spend your time and money elsewhere.

It’s packed. You can’t ever find your group of friends. Guys are douchebags. Girls are rude & need to be fed. They have a ‘strict dress code’(no tank tops, flip flops for guys or backpacks). Someone stole my friend’s wallet then charged up a huge bar tab in the 20 minutes before he was able to realize it was gone & cancel the card. Music is not bad but they mix popular songs with«NTZNTZNTZ» house beats. Not my style.
