Been here twice now. I didn’t write a review the first time because all I had that time was beer and NTN trivia. Monday night Daddy fed me dinner. I got the basic cheeseburger. It was a lot better than I thought it would be. Cooked medium-well, so it was nice and juicy, and had a great flame-broiled flavor. It housed the perfect shredded lettuce instead of the annoying full leaves of lettuce that take too much attention away from the beef. And they gave me the mayo on the side, so I could slather on as much as I wanted to without having to worry about the cook shorting me. Got onion rings with the burger, which were average. I’ve certainly had worse rings, but I’ve also had better. These rings were thick and a bit too sweet. I don’t like sweet onions in my onion rings, but that’s just a personal preference. They also weren’t greasy enough. I know your tops are probably spinning at hearing that. «What?! You want GREASY food?! Don’t you know what that will do to you!!!» Yeah, I know, which I why I don’t eat like that every single day. I eat healthy and boring most of the time, so that I can occasionally splurge and temporarily clog my poor arteries. So yeah, I’m complaining that there wasn’t enough grease on them rings. Personally, I like the really thin battered onion rings because they always get the greasiest. «Onion strings», I believe they’re called. Okay, okay, moving on… Played NTN and had a couple of beers. And hey, they’ve got some great brews on tap: 512 Pecan Porter, 512 Wit, 512 Pale(yeah, they support the local breweries); Fat Tire; Bud/Bud Light; Blue Moon; Shiner; Dos Equis; Miller Light; ZiegenBock; Coors Light; and a bunch of others I couldn’t read because I left my glasses in the car. The bartender was cool, quick and helpful. They do have a soda fountain, but no Coke Zero. Poo on them for that. So it wasn’t the absolute best burger I’ve ever had, but it was easily in the top six. The best burger I’ve ever had is at a place in Dallas where I actually used to work. No no, wait… the best burger I’ve had came from a place in Dallas called Thunderbumpers, but that place unfortunately closed in the ‘80s. So the place in Dallas where I used to work is the second best burger I’ve ever had. The best Austin burger I’ve had thus far is Hut’s. Yeah, I know it’s a cliché, but good is good. Daddy’s burgers are definitely worth a try. Their stuff is better than your typical bar food. Trust me. I’ll be back next time I feel like getting my NTN game on.

We actually ducked in here for some food as compared with the dive bars 9 deep in the area this seemed like a safe bet. After walking around and sneaking some peeks at other peoples food and ordering some beer at the counter, all looked okay. The beer was nice and cold and really fair priced. Came in a frozen glass and that’s how it should be. Not a large selection of imports on draft which is all we drink, but we were able to find a few we could settle with. The wings and burger were nice and hot. The wings were interesting enough that we tried a few of all types. There’s like a million large TV’s in here with a wide variety of stuff to watch along with trivia games. The place is pretty large and not cramped feeling at all. In fact I would have to say that this is probably one of the most family friendly places to eat(and not just drink) in this few blocks of area. Our server was great and kept our waters full, gave us some great suggestions and a free sample of their bizarre griddle fries. We left full of food and beer for a reasonable price and would go back no doubt. 3.5 stars.

Lots and lots of televisions! I am sure the only reason why I gave this place a four star is because it was the only place in town where we could find the Seahawk game. This place reminded me of a strict bar version of Red Robin. Instead of having servers, you had to go to the counter and order your food. We had the wings here and thought that both sauces we had were pretty good. Wasn’t mind blowing, but good enough to sit back and enjoy the game. Zipzap Zubidy Bop!

This place is awesome and I absolutely loved it. I was in Austin on a business trip and had no one to eat with for this meal but still had a good time. Awesome: very modest and decent draft selection. They have a really good bottled selection as well. My waitress was very friendly and nice. Maybe because she thought I was a loner eating by myself! The food isn’t ambrosia or anything but it’s good. I got an 1⁄3BBQ bacon cheese Angus burger which had a lot of flavor and a nice chargrilled taste to it although it was a tad bit dry. Their special sweet BBQ sauce was unique and good because it wasn’t overly sweet(like KC Masterpiece BBQ sauce). The hamburger bun was, I think, a potato roll which was really fresh and nicely toasted. I haven’t seen bread toasted this well for at least the past three months. The waffle fries weren’t good because it wasn’t fresh. It was sitting under a heat lamp. Well, the burger, beers, and atmosphere more than made up for the fries. They have so many TV’s but I don’t understand why they have 4 projection screen TV’s. You can’t even see them clearly because the restaurant is long and narrow. But they have LCDTV’s as well so that suffices.

It was dead when we went in here. We didn’t eat there but got lonestar and long islands 2.00 each. Our friends from Cali were shocked that a long island could be 2.00. We laughed and said it wont be as good. Turns out it was just as good with just prices being different. The waitress was really attentive. The basketball games we wanted to watch were on all the screens. A younger crowd seemed to come in waves and eat and disappear. The bathrooms were clean and the special of the night. the fight right outside. A girl was ready to punch a guy but punched a girl instead… ah the things we care to see when we are not drunk yet and a bit bored.
