I’ve been to a few & this one is my least fave. Small food portions, not so friendly staff, sticky tables & some questionable characters. But food was delicious! Best Mexican food I’ve had outside of my moms kitchen

Amazing food at the café/taqueria. Chicken mole and the guisado are incredible. Great food at bargain prices: the lunch and dinner plate is just $ 5.99 for a huge amount of food. Totally authentic and delicious.

My friend brought their fajita meat to a cook out once and we immediately had to know what he put on it. And he told us he got it at the butcher counter and it’s pre seasoned. So fast forward 6 mos and I am now an east Riverside homeowner having an impromptu housewarming/cook out. Sooo. what better thing to have for my guest than go get a few lbs of that fajita meat. It’s soooo gooodddddd. I have told my bf from now that is the only way I’ll make fajitas at home. It’s just perfect and doesn’t seem to matter how long you cook it. I can’t wait to try all their other seasoned meats. We didn’t buy anything else but we did sort of take a gander at the basic selection and prices since the Riverside HEB is a pain for quick stops right now. Even though I can’t speak a lick of spanish like Meredith says I can point and hold my fingers up so this may become my go to butcher & quick item market.

Meat Market, Grocery, Bakery, Restaurant? Oh yes, it’s true. If you don’t speak Spanish, you better get good at charades and pointing before you come here. It’s a great little market that doubles as a restaurant. Good for the morning after a night of drinking. As you walk in, to the left is the café. The menu is above the little retaurant area, but you pay first at the cashier(I always just ask for the«platillo,» but you can also get quesadillas and all the other usual suspects). You get your receipt from the cashier and then head over to the café… just point at the things you want for the platillo if you don’t speak Spanish — they’re used to it. The meat market is in the back and has EVERYTHING. You want a dead animal? They have it, and it will be seasoned to appropriate tastiness. Not veg friendly… obviously. PS — Their fajita meat they have in the meat market is amaaaazing.
