Walking in without an appointment is worthless. This must be the most booked barbershop in the city based on the feedback from the front desk. Strangely, with such full plates, many of the employees sit idly in their barbers chairs. Finley, you’re not Momofuku, you’re a barbershop.

Cut: 5⁄5 I go to Cody for a medium bald fade. He knows how to fade. Let me say that again: CODYKNOWSHOWTOFADE. I only trust 2 barbers in Austin to fade me up and he’s one of them. He takes his time, he does it right, and he is precise. The’s he nicest guy and absolutely loves what he does. I’m extremely picky about my hair and who cuts it. I got to the point where I can come in, don’t have to say a word, and he cleans me up like the pro that he is. I always get compliments after each cut. The dude is the best wingman ever and doesn’t even know it! I hate to brag him up so much because that means he’ll have less open time slots for me, but the guy deserves it. One of the rare guys who really appreciates the art of cutting hair, especially when it comes to fades. If you’re reading this and on the fence, book your appointment now. You won’t regret it! Atmosphere: 5⁄5 Just like all of the other Finley’s I’ve been too, its a cool and relaxing place. They keep the place clean and inviting. They always have a fridge full of drinks. Price: 4⁄5 Yes, it’s a little steep for a hair cut compared to, say, Great Clips, but you get what you pay for. It’s worth every penny in my honest opinion. Say«no» to Whataburger once or twice every month to look fly AF. Or if you’re like me and can’t say«no» to Whataburger, go mow your neighbor’s lawn or something if you’re struggling that much. Staff: 5⁄5 Everyone from the receptionist to the other barbers to Cody is always professional and sweet. Location: 4⁄5 Really cool spot, tons of parking in the garage. Traffic is a little bad around the area depending on the time you go, but can’t imagine it being worse than the downtown location.

I had my hair cut yesterday and I’ll definitely be going back. My two criteria for a haircut: 1. It looks good. 2. I don’t feel like I’m being interviewed for a game-show by a high-energy hairstylist. Tiffany was super down-to-earth and did a great job on my hair. Also, the prices are quite reasonable. Highly recommend.

I was seeing Cody for quite some time on 3rd St. downtown and, because of his awesomeness, never wanted to go to anyone else. Thus, when he moved to this location, I did also. Location: New, spacious, relaxing, and still offers beer, coffee, wine, and water(for free). All awesome as always. Cody: When I moved to Austin, I had no clue what to do with my hair or finding the right person to cut it. I literally walked in, told Cody to do what he felt was right for my style, and have never looked back since. It’s now going on 2 years of visiting Cody every 3 or so weeks. I trust nobody else with my hair after finding Cody. Simply put, the dude is amazing. Amazing with hair. Amazing human. Amazing. Period.

This joint is shmancy. Get your hairs cut by Mendy Dietert. She’s the best. Get her to do all the things. Trust me, it’s worth it. Also, you could catch a flick afterwards. Get a bite to eat. Get a drink. Bring your friends. It’s a great way to spend a day. Super relaxing. You’ll be glad you stopped by. I could go on, so I will. Ha. Just kidding. But seriously. Do this thing. Do it now. Right now.

This past weekend was a soft opening. I followed my stylist April here from her previous business and this place is just as good. As a matter of fact it’s better in a couple of ways. It’s RIGHT besides Alamo Drafthouse off of Lamar. You come in the main entrance(like you’re going to Alamo), take a left and there’s a parking garage there that you can park and it’s free. Each stylist has their own station with their own hair washing sink and television. They offer complimentary drinks(alcoholic too) during your experience. The ‘basic’ package gets you a full cut, hair washed with tingly shampoo, razor neck trim, hot towel on face w/a warming lotion, and a massage. The waiting area is something to marvel at too! They’ve put a bunch of thought into every aspect of this joint. The walls are lined with pictures of the owner and their family; Looks vintage. Great spot and happy to make the transition to this new pampering venue!
