Not a bad neighborhood joint for happy hour. Limited but decent beer selection on tap — something like six taps. Selected appetizers are a buck off for happy hour — it looks like they have a decent selection of hamburgers and other typical bar food grub to snack on.

Nice neighborhood bar with good food that is well priced. If you’re looking for a great place to catch a playoff game, March madness, or any sports game it’s got a choice feel with plenty of TVs. The large garage doors in front make it a top place to hang out and grab a drink on a perfect weather day.

Crazy how there was one person working for a total of 6 tables with two at each. Other then being helped the first time we walked in we had to head up to grab our drinks. The food came out cold. Which I only assume was because a table that came in about 20 after my group had already received there food while our was just now being brought to the table. Then drinks for 6+ dollars I rather head to Pizza Rebel across the way for better service and food. Service being the man reason. The set up is very nice great use for a small sports bar. Still would think twice before stopping here.

The beer prices and selection are a bummer. It will keep me from spending much time here. On the other hand it’s cozy and was pretty laid-back while we were there. The pub grub was OK, nothing to get excited about. This place has potential but they’re going to have to redo the beer and food menu to keep people coming back.

Delaney’s is a great place to relax and watch sports. They have a cozy-ish set up in that it is a small but good place to get a drink. Not cramped by any means, though, as they have ample outdoor seating complete with 4 TVs to put on several different games. I’ve had both the Turkey Sandwich and the Chicken Fajita Tacos, and they were both excellent. Homemade salsa was good as well. Drink prices are fair, and they are around the same prices as other bars in the area. Check this place out!

Great set up for a small sports bar but I order a 512IPA…$ 6.50. I know it’s cool on Anderson to charge crazy prices for beer but come on. Told me all I needed to know. I can go to Cover 3 and pay that.

Three stars to start… I’m probably going to come back here a few times and see if perhaps they might lean towards more. This is not the closest bar to my house, but it’s definitely within walking distance, so we made the mile or so hike in gorgeous weather(oh, I miss weather that doesn’t feel like the surface of the sun, but I digress), and plopped down on their patio even though the whole place was open air(but they could close it up when it was hot, it was just a PERFECT day). I tried the moscow mule, and it was tasty. A little pricey at 8 $, but /shrug, inflation I guess. My husband had plenty of beers to play with and seemed to enjoy himself. I later moved onto what is going to be my new summer drink — Deep Eddy lemonade and soda water. YUM. Also, only 6 $ for a decent pour in a pint glass. If I had any tips, I’d say stick to simple stuff, it’s cheaper than their signature stuff. As for food, we decided on a very healthy dinner of fried pickles, and buffalo wings. The pickles were perfection. They were thick chips, exactly how I like them, and there weren’t too many of them so I didn’t OD on them like I do many places. The wings… the sauce was great, but they were kinda… chewy? Tasted kind of like the kinda undercooked baked wings you get from a delivery pizza place. Not crispy. However, I forgot to order my wings extra crispy like I usually do, and some people like them like this, I guess, so probably partly on me. They all got eaten, so they weren’t that bad. I will know for next time though! If they weren’t so expensive I probably would give them the benefit of the doubt, but… 15 $ for 16 wings means I expect a little more. Service was prompt and everyone was very friendly. There’s jenga and farkle and maybe a few other games to borrow on the patio. It’s dog friendly so it’s fun to watch the goggies. I’ll be back once the weather cooperates a bit more because it was nice to sit on someone else’s patio while they bring me food and drinks that is a quick walk from my house. And maybe even give the wings one more try extra crispy.

Came here to watch the basketball game because all the other sports bars were packed. Not crowded. Good beers. Good food. Good service and friendly staff

$ 5 really too much pineapple juicey sangria followed by $ 5 watered down sangria. When ordering fish tacos-(as risky as it was, I was just in the mood for taking the risk) I asked the waitress, «how are the fish tacos?» Her response«I order them all the time, and my cats really like them.» Are you freakin kidding me?! Your CATS really like them?! Yes I guess my first mistake was I shouldn’t have ordered fish tacos in Central Austin. However, I definitely was not expecting cabbage and salt in a flour tortilla… and I had to ask for the ranch dressing. Oy vey. Only good thing my friends liked was the triple dip appetizer: Guac, Salsa, and Queso for $ 5.

I want to like this place so badly. I live around the corner from this place and am a huge fan of local bars in the Burnet Rd area. I wish their drinks were a dollar cheaper and they had a better happy hour I would give them more attempts. The biggest issues to me is the unfriendly service. If I go to local bar, I want the bartenders to make a decent effort to chat/get to know me. That’s the perk of a local small bar. Everyone working here seems to hate their life. Waitresses want to give you your check ASAP and bartenders are too busy with their books to pay attention or recommend a beer. Hate that I hate this place. I really want them to succeed.

Comfortable and casual atmosphere with a semi spacious dog friendly outdoor seating area, partially covered, and equipped with multiple TVs is the best bonus about this place. Limited beer selection was a bit disappointing, and the sangria which they highly recommended was lacking in any type of flavor. The prices are affordable, but the food quality is hit or miss. The burgers are meh, and the onion rings are a definite don’t bother. The sweet potato fries were one of the best things we had, and pretty good. The lemon pepper wings were definitely better than the burger, with a great zesty flavor, but dripping in oil(thank goodness for the napkin dispenser at the table!). The service was friendly, but spotty. If you are seated outside, definitely just walk up and place your order at the bar. We were delivered someone else’s food at first, but eventually got our order. Then when we got up to pay at the bar for our food, they couldn’t find us in the system. The waitress had used our table number, but the guy I guess uses names, and he wasn’t familiar with the number of the outside tables. Thankfully I was the only one that had yet to order a sangria that night so they were able to finally find our tab.

I have never had the food here… I have only stopped by for a beer or two here and there, and my visits have always been pleasant. I’ve had three different bartenders, all of whom have been really nice and friendly. There are a handful of decent beers on tap and some more good stuff in the fridge. They have a full bar if you’re into the whole hard liquor/mixed drink thing as well. Usually this place is one of two things: 1. Completely dead. We are the only people in there, and it’s quiet and relaxing. 2. Half full with a bunch of neighborhood folks. It gets louder then, but it’s still enjoyable. So, as a place to just sit and have a few beers and relax this place is pretty rad. I can’t vouch for the food yet, but I will try it one day since it’s right down the street from my work.

This is three stars in a good way! What I love about Delaney’s: — Dog friendly patio. — Comfortable casual atmosphere. — Friendly service. — 7 wines by the glass or bottle(not bad for an icehouse). What I like: — Happy Hour is happy! It runs Monday-Friday 5 p.m.-7 p.m. with a about a dozen food offerings for $ 5. For happy hour drinks they have $ 5 drafts, glasses wine(of the bottle is already open) a selection of cocktails of to include Moscow Mules and $ 2 Lone Stars. — There are 7 TVs inside and 4 outside. You can sit at any seat in the house and not miss a game. What I didn’t love: — Smelling like grease when I walked out the door. We didn’t try the food but we sure smelled like the food by the time we left. Weather permitting I would recommend finding a spot on the covered patio. If you like bar food like wings, burgers and fried pickles you’re in luck. They also have a variety of salads, wraps and a kiddo section on the menu. They denote which items are it can be made gluten free too. This part of Anderson Lane has limited options when it comes to bar, Delaney’s is a welcomed addition.

I’ve been here twice now and already have another happy hour planned. This place is new on Anderson Lane, but they’re already running really smoothly. Jason, who I think is the main bartender, is super friendly and attentive. The sangria is $ 5 during happy hour and it’s pretty delicious. Overall, the happy hour prices are a bit higher than I normally pay, but I like the environment enough to pay it. My biggest complaint is that most of the food seems to be frozen. Hopefully once they’ve been around a while they’ll start focusing on their kitchen and making their own food.

Good spot for a tasty burger and a beer. Great local spot for a drink with neighbors. Small place, but there’s a patio so it’s dog friendly. TV’s have the game on … whatever that is depending upon time of year. Happy hour is Monday through Friday 5−7pm, $ 5 apps, draft beer and some other stuff

I stopped in here, thinking, «Hey, a new place in the hood! I’ll give it a shot!» And now I’m sad that I did. As mentioned by a few others, there’s nothing special about this place. And sometimes that’s fine. If you have a decent joint that provides good, inexpensive yet well-prepared food and drink with some modicum of service that doesn’t make you wonder if you’ve offended your waitron just by existing, that’s still a place I’d come back to. This is not one of those places. The beer list is ok, but there are some local beers they could’ve included rather than some of the big brand beers they have. Their cocktail list is overpriced and a little bit all over the place. I’m glad I didn’t pay $ 10 for a margarita, because if it’d tasted anything like the food, I’d be very sad. Instead, I opted for a white wine, which was poured a bit short(as noted by another reviewer). Not a lot, but enough to make you notice. The food menu is really just kinda sad. $ 8 for a cheese quesadilla. $ 7 for a turkey sandwich that literally has turkey, mayo, and cheese. In fact, even though they had vegetables(I assume that’s what they put on their burgers and salads), they seemed to keep them away from their wraps and sandwiches altogether. So, I went for buffalo chicken strips. $ 7 for 2. Does that come with a side? Yes, but not for the wings, just the strips. Keep in mind that I could go to Pluckers around the corner and get double the food for $ 4 more, but it’s nice to have options. Buffalo Hot with Blue cheese. I made sure when I checked my check that that’s what she rang in, since that’s not even close to what I got. Somehow, they managed to make a fried chicken strip doused in their hottest buffalo sauce taste dry and flavorless. After attempting to replace the ranch I was presented with with a proper blue cheese, I realized they must just yell demeaning remarks at their ranch dressing until it’s sad and then call it blue cheese. It was not blue cheese by any stretch of my imagination. The sweet potato fries might’ve somehow managed to be even more flavorless than the chicken. There was literally no seasoning on them at all. sprinkling salt on them did nothing, nor did dipping them in the Cholula-laced«blue cheese.» I think that sort of poor food-making takes true talent. When I was done, I put my napkins on top of the food and pushed it across the bar, where the server/bartender was standing. She made no move. Just stood there, looking out the window, around the room, at my empty basket, at the POS screen, back outside… I had to ask for my check, and she finally took the basket and closed me out. I know working in a joint that doesn’t get much business kinda sucks, but that level of non-service is pretty unreal to me. Well, I gave it a shot. I tried to like it. I really did. I just doubt I’ll be back, unless they up their game significantly.

Came here for a drink and a bite on a Tuesday night. I wanted to like this place because it’s so close to my house and has a dog-friendly patio. Service? Not great, kinda sparse. Had to wave the guy down a few times, which is surprising due to the 4 groups that were there. Drinks? They advertise«craft beer», but their selection seemed very typical Austin(512 stuff, Lone Star, and then standard chain bar selections like Bud and Dos XX). I ordered a Thirsty Goat(which is pretty standard for Austin), but they were out. I switched to a wine and the pour was pretty stingy. Food? The options aren’t many, and it’s way overpriced. We got fish tacos, which shouldn’t call themselves tacos in Austin, TX, land of the free and home of all the delicious tacos. We also got a chicken burger — not great. They put both mayo and guac on the«southwest» burger, which doesn’t seem like a good idea, and they forgot my request to hold the mayo, so it was a little too wet for me. Overall? It’s not Chili’s or Olive Garden, but does not feel remotely Austin to me. I have a feeling that this place is way too close to legit brew pubs like Black Star to stick around.

I drove by the other day and Texadelphia was gone and in its place was Delaney’s Icehouse. Something new in the neighborhood? I had to check it out. I popped in for lunch during the week. The menu had salads, sandwiches and wraps, burgers, and a few other items like chili, quesadillas, and fried okra. I went for a bowl of chili and a side of okra since it was a cold day. The prices are low and the food is standard American pub fare. My chili was topped with cheddar and purple onion and it hit the spot. The okra came with a side of ranch and was delicious too. I’m definitely going to have to try a few other items on the menu because the table next to me had some good looking burgers. Delaney’s is configured the same way as Texadelphia, so that much will be familiar, but they redid the inside with rustic wood paneling and took out the tall tables in favor of tables that seat more people. It also looks like they expanded the drink menu to encourage visitors looking for happy hour or a brew with friends. I’m always in favor of new spots in my neighborhood and I’ll come back to Delaney’s for lunch soon to try some of the other menu items.
