CT Laundry

The staff was nice. There were plenty of washers and dryers. That’s about the extent of the nice things I can say about this place.
This was my first time at a laundromat, and I won’t be going back. Not only did it take forever to get my clothes modestly dry (after running the dryer 4 times) but one of my nicer work shirts now has bleach stains and what looks to be an oil or grease stain. I think I’ve only worn this shirt twice and now it’s ruined.

I went to C T Laundry today for the second time. I went there several weeks ago after reading all the good reviews on Unilocal.I had several large comforters that needed washed, and I didn’t want to pay $ 20 to $ 30 each to have them dry cleaned. I honestly cannot remember the last time I had been to a laundromat. They have always kind of made me nervous (they seem kind of creepy, and are often in sketchy strip malls). C T Laundry is awesome, though, and has completely changed my opinion of laundromats! It is very clean, well lit, not creepy at all! They have a ton of machines that can wash anywhere from 1 load to 8 loads. I used the «4 load» machine for my large blanket. I probably could have used the 2 or 3 load machine, but wanted to be sure I didn’t overload it. $ 3.75 for 23min wash, and about $ 1.50 to dry, and I could fit both my large blankets in one dryer. I did all my pillows in the 8 load machine, and got them all in one dryer. So when I once again found myself needed to wash my blankets, I headed there again, and had the same experience.
Now I don’t need to worry about getting my «nice» blankets dirty, because I know that I can spend under $ 10 and under an hour and have them as good as new!
Both time I went about 8 am Sunday morning. Not crowded at all but picking up by the time I left. The only thing negative I can say is that it was kind of cold this morning. 30 degrees outside and if they had the heat on it was low. But I’d rather be chilly than too hot, which could easily happen with all those machines.
Oh, and Unilocal says no Wi-​Fi, but one of the employees saw me playing a game on my phone and made a point to tell me they had free Wi-​Fi if I wanted.
Bottom line… if there are any scared laundromat «newbies» out there… fear not! Head to C T Laundry with no worries and leave with clean clothes, or sheets, or blankies, or pillows, or…

This laundromat is very clean. An attendant is always on hand. I have never run into broken machines or empty moneychanger. It has loads (ha!) of front-​loading washers that get your clothes cleaner than top-​loaders in less time. You can select a washer that holds 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, and even 8 loads of laundry, if you’re willing to wash them on the same setting. Takes about 23 minutes to wash 2 or 3 loads. Dryers are very large. You can get 6 loads into one dryer.
My only complaint is there’s no wifi.

Clean place that you can get your laundry done quickly and affordably. As everyone else here has said, the staff is friendly and constantly cleaning, which is a pleasant difference from other laundromats.

Amazingly clean. Read the two reviews here, and decided to give this place a try. There are washing machines for 1, 2, 4, 6, and 8 loads. Prices are reasonable. Very few people when I went. Out of all the laundromats that I have been to in Austin, this is by far my favorite.
note: have gone during the weekend nights when this place is slammed. I have decided to go during lunch time only now. Place is crowded and dirty on weekends.

I have gone to several laudromats in south Austin and this is definately my favorite. Although the staff doesn’t always speak fluent English, they are very helpful and constanly clean the place… They even go around and clean out the detergent pockets on every machine throughout the shift… It gets out the previous person’s bleach so your clothes don’t get ruined. All the machines work, all the time. There are also many choices for load sizes. The detergents are a bit overpriced, but I always bring mine with me so that’s not a problem! Clean, convenient, consistent, cost-​efficient.
Plus, there are multiple change machines, several arcade games and multiple flat screens up on the walls! Tho… They’re usually on Spanish channels, haha.
Love this place.

Now THIS is the kind of place I want to wash my laundry in. Somewhere that’s clean, somewhere that the prices are set right, where the machines are working… all the time. It’s like a laundrymat goers little piece of heaven. The little Asian couple that owns the place are always somewhere around and are always friendly. They want to make sure every one is happy. Happy is what I always am with the place. I never feel like I have to rewash something if I accidentally drop it on the floor. I never feel like it’s a gamble when I drop my change in if I’m going to get a working dryer. The BEST laundry mat around. I keep migrating back. I will quit trying to go anywhere else!
