Every since we have been near place. My family and I all walk up to place. No matter time. It’s the best food, soup and slushes. Love pork chops and rice. Green onion pie

I love this place so much. Used to only come for the bubble tea but finally had a chance to try the food and it was amazing! Definitely one of my favorite places to eat. I tell everyone about it. 10⁄10 would recommend. The people that work here are super friendly and it seems to be very clean in general.

Taro Milk for the WIN! super speedy fast service. clean inviting atmosphere. My favorite spot. I’ve tried other places. Do not know why– Coco’s is the best! Haven’t tried the food yet, one day. I always see lots of ppl eating– so It’s got to be just as delicious as their teas.

I used to eat here frequently when I lived in Austin. Now Coco’s is a place that I enjoy stopping by when I visit Austin. They have a large variety of Tapioca Pearl teas, and many food choices. For food, some great choices are the Onion Pies(wonderful if you enjoy green chives), Spiced Eggs(think Lipton Tea Flavored eggs with a hint of spice), or Spicy Beef Noodle Soup. Coco’s is authentically Taiwanese food and super tasty. If you’re not into the whole asian food cuisine, there is always the option of ordering Coco’s Chicken Nuggets.

I prefer this location over the one on the drag near campus. The workers here are exponentially friendlier and more efficient. This store also has much more seating, which is always a plus. I consider myself a bubble tea snob since I’m originally from Houston and I frequent Dallas a lot — two cities with higher quality and much more delectable bubble tea. Nonetheless, CoCo makes some decent bubble tea drinks. I normally get the jasmine green tea(with milk) or the almond milk tea. If you’re in the mood for a smoothie or slush, I would highly recommend the honeydew smoothie and mango slush. In terms of food, I normally get the fried chicken with rice or the beef noodle soup with fried chicken. The former tastes a little bland unless you ask for a side of peanut sauce. I believe the most popular dish is the ground pork with rice, which is always pretty good. If you’re in the mood to chow down on some food while drinking bubble tea and you happen to be in ATX, I would highly recommend this place!

So, since my first visit, I’ve come back to this restaurant and actually tried an entrée. All I’m saying no is this… I don’t know how they do it, or what they put in it — -but their peppercorn tofu is magical. It’s got this sort of gooey texture in the tofu and the flavor is SPOTON. Here’s the downside that I find ridiculous. If you call ahead and place your order — -you will still have to wait in line to pay for your food. What’s the point of that? You should be able to come in, pop to another line, grab your food and go. The service here is not that great. But let’s face it, if you want good food at a great price, your service doesn’t have to be spot on all the time. I’d definitely recommend the food, just don’t expect much from the staff.

This place is similar to the one near UT. It has about the most authentic Taiwanese food you can get in Austin. Drinks here are less sweet than the UT location but still ask for less sugar or half sugar if you prefer something less syrupy. Definitely try the beef noodle soup here, it is amazing. The peppercorn chicken, eel rice, and their green onion pie are good as well. There’s free sweet and sour soup on the side if you’re into that! This location has a lot more seating and ample parking. Downside is it’s quite a bit farther.

Glad there’s a place to get decent milk tea and boba! Pretty fast service and you’re able to customize how sweet you want your drink. Have only tried the chinese pancakes and peppercorn chicken but both are delicious!

Stick with the yummy drinks. The food is very slow to be delivered and tastes very average.

Okay is rating is strictly for the food. I am sooooo disappointed, I’ve eaten here with our an issue till now. Our 1st order was 3 milk teas that were delivered in lighting speed. As expected the drinks were full flavored and delicious. Our next order involved the onion pancake and fried sweet potatoes. To our amazement it took 30 minutes for the food to reach our table. This set a bad tone for the meal. Once they finally bought the meal I was shocked by what was in front of me. Sweet potato fries with a dipping sauce — cost over 5 bucks. Then looked over to the other side to see a sad representation of onion pancakes. I found then bead like with just a sprinkling of onions. To say I was disappointed was an understatement. In the future I will stick to just drinks at this location. There attention of detail when it comes to food has dropped. It’s sad I use to really enjoy this place.

It took me forever to finally try this place, but I am so happy I did. Originally, I stopped here for some bubble tea after eating phở next door and the bubble tea was great. Then I started reading reviews and knew that I needed to try the peppercorn chicken and the spicy beef noodle soup on my next visit. And that’s exactly what I did. The peppercorn chicken is delicious — large pieces of chicken covered in jalapeños and green onions, served with rice and pickled cabbage. The chicken was juicy and so good paired with the jalapeños, green onions, and rice. It’s basically everything I could want in a dish. The portion was generous and the dish itself has found its way into my «delicious meals I want in my belly» rotation. The spicy beef noodle soup is huge and they are incredibly generous with the beef. I’ve never gotten so much beef in a beef soup before. Normally I shy away from beef dishes because I prefer chicken, but this was really good. Not too spicy, if you prefer less melt-your-face-off spice. Tons of noodles, which made me very happy.(I love me some noodles.) The broth is perfect for a cold, blustery day when you need something to warm you up. As for bubble tea, I’m boring and I always get the milk tea with bubbles, but they have a lot of different flavors here. I’m really tempted to try something different next time because expanding your horizon is always a good thing, but you really can’t go wrong with a good milk tea. Coco’s bubble tea is on the sweet side, but not too sweet, so if that’s your thing, you’ll enjoy it.(It just so happens to be my thing, so I totally enjoy their bubble tea.) The tapioca pearls always have a good texture and are nice and chewy. I’m happy that Coco’s isn’t that far from me so I can add them in my bubble tea rotation, because I can never get enough bubble tea.(And I’m coming back for that peppercorn chicken because that stuff is delicious.) And have you seen the artwork for this place? Adorable!

Had been at least a year since I’d been to Coco’s. Not sure why it fell off the radar, but as of yesterday it’s back on. I’ve noticed they’ve made some décor changes, super cute. The food and drinks are still the same, and for that I am glad. Peppercorn chicken is my fave. It’s spicy, crispy perfection, paired with white rice and pickled cabbage. So good. Tried a new drink yesterday, had a frozen mocha smoothie with pearls and it was divine. Service was quick, and polite, as always. Definitely will be back soon!

Coco’s Café became my best friend when I worked next door at Target. I mostly stopped in for bubble tea, smoothies, etc… Especially, the avocado smoothie. By far, in my opinion, the best. Always give a good amount of tapioca. I have ordered food to go a few times and it never disappoints. Portions are HUGE. Prices are good. Food is always fresh and hot. Me and husband love the hot beef soup. The fried tofu left a little to be desired as far as flavor, but texture was good. The peppercorn chicken is also a must have. Love it. Coco’s is a popular place. It is always buzzing with business and people of all ages. It’s nice restaurant for to-go food for last minute dinner decisions. Great place all in all! Thanks Coco’s!

The first time I ever came here was back in the day, a long long long time ago. Unilocal wasn’t in the making yet, but I still remember my first experience because it was my first time I ever had shaved ice and I thought it was the best thing ever. My aunt took my siblings out for dessert and I thought I had tasted heaven. Unfortunately I didn’t order the shaved ice the second time around, but this experience was just as memorable because it didn’t live up to my past experience. MILKTEAWITHGRASSJELLY The milk tea was disappointing. It wasn’t as flavorful as I would’ve liked it. The tea was too sweet and really watered down. I would’ve even preferred more milk than tea, but this was definitely more watery than tea or milk. The grass jelly didn’t serve its purpose for me, which was to soak up some milk tea flavor and to be «jelly.» What I got was a few cubes that couldn’t be sucked up by a big straw. The only time I was able to get any was when I was finishing up my drink, but sadly I was only able to get a few of the already few jellies. Never again! HOTGINGERTEA For those who don’t like ginger. this is the perfect drink to get if you’re sick and need something to warm up your throat. I’ve never been a fan of ginger, but this drink reminds me of the time when my mom use to make me hot ginger with honey. This drink is sweet and you do get that ginger taste, but it’s not as heavy as if you’re going to eat a ginger whole. HOTHONEYGREENTEA The green tea wasn’t bad. I liked that it was warm and had a hint of green tea flavoring, but it was too sweet for my liking. I prefer my green tea to retain a bit of their bitterness, but sadly there was none. I might come again if given the chance that I’m in the area and every other tapioca/boba place has closed down, but I’m sure Austin has more to offer; so I will venture to try other establishments before coming back to this one. So. for now. I am not in love with the Coco.

We love this place. So unpretentious, very casual, and a provider of clean, delicious food. They have a limited menu, but everything we have ordered thus far has been delicious and well-made. Whether you are crazy hungry, or just want a lil’ somethin’ somethin’, this place is perfect, catering to every need. When I am not in the mood for a whole lot, I get an appetizer and fill up on their delicious complimentary vegetarian soup. When I need a whole lot, I love their rice and meat platters which also includes a veggie. I almost always grab a smoothie with tapioca because it is simply the perfect accompaniment to whatever you order. And service is always provided with a smile. I like this place. I like it alot.

This place was popping when I came in and it seemed like they had a lot of Chinese and Asian customers, so I was optimistic. The boba pearls here are pretty good, but everything else was below average. The milk tea was on the watery side and the shaved ice was a hot mess. I was craving some shaved ice since I hadn’t had any in months and they don’t have any in San Antonio. The shaved ice looked so pretty in the picture, but wasn’t so cute when it was finally prepared. The shaved ice is basically plain flavorless ice. They don’t have any other ice flavors like mango etc here. You then get to put on some toppings. There are no fresh fruit topping options like I’m used to on the West coast. They pretty much just have puddings, jellies, boba, beans, and sticky rice based toppings. I chose my 4 toppings and then they put condensed milk and sugar syrup on it. Then they shaved some more plain ice on my toppings making it look like an ugly ice mountain. Then they put more milk and sugar on it. Overall, it was edible, but not what I was expecting at all and definitely the worst shaved ice I’ve had. I’m not Taiwanese, so maybe this is authentic, but I definitely prefer a shaved ice with a little more flavor and fresh fruit. The ice wasn’t the best shaved either, not the smooth layers that you get at the really good shaved ice places. Coco’s café may be a good option for food or some of the other items, but I wouldn’t recommend the milk tea or the shaved ice.

Fast service and food. I got the black milk tea with egg pudding — sweet, but not give-you-a-toothache sweet. I also got the fried tofu with the beef noodle soup and 2 scallion pancakes. Note: when you order ONE whole scallion pancake — they actually give you two. Or maybe it’s because they saw that David had a hearty appetite. Either way, just order half.

I’d never been to Coco’s before, I’d never thought I’d be in one. But after Boba, onion pie & beef noodle here I thought, «Hey, this is some pretty good stuff.» ************************ Okay, I’m not a professional poet. I don’t know why I’ve never been to this Coco’s before — maybe it’s the seven other places you can eat within fifty feet of here — but this place is surprisingly good. Yeah, it’s got that strip-mall divey feel, but think little Asia Café without the confusion, plus they bring your food to you. And they’re serious about their Boba tea. A half order of onion pie is perfect for two, my beefy noodle soup was big & tasty, and unless I’m completely missing something here, Coco’s Café is really cheap & cool. With a happy staff. Definitely on my list now.

Pros: –In the past two years they’ve gotten new furniture, and there is plenty of seating space. This branch is bigger and cleaner than the one at UT campus. This is a good place for casual hangouts or a meal with your family! –free veggie soup when you buy an entrée! Add a little black vinegar and cilantro to your liking! –I like ordering chicken nuggets, beef noodle soup, pork and vermicelli, fried chicken noodle soup, curry chicken with rice, or their sa cha beef noodles because they’re always filling and very inexpensive! The meat is always tender and just the way I like it!(Which is a different experience from Cocos at UT) –drinks are stellar. They do let you know which drinks use real fruit. They also have a wide variety of toppings to add. I always get boba or egg pudding or both together! –I love a food menu that displays pictures for everything, so you know what you’re ordering! Cons: –sometimes the broth of the chicken soup or pork vermicelli soup lacks flavor. You might want to add hot sauce or black vinegar and soy sauce if that’s the case. –last time I ordered a rice dish, they gave me one scoop of rice instead of two. I was expecting two scoops because their pictures had two… For rice dishes, I require more rice! –drinks are ordered separately, not as part of a meal. For a time I would go here at least once a week, and I still would of I didn’t want to try new places! Coco’s is my go-to for Taiwanese comfort food that won’t hurt my wallet!

GOODBYE Coco’s on campus, HELLO Coco’s on research! This place is such an upgrade from their restaurant on Guad. Never going back there again. Pros: –portions were much bigger! –more seating area –staff was friendlier –togo boxes available for you to grab –huge tub of red chili sauce(so you don’t have to ask them to refill it a million times) –family oriented Cons: NONE! This place is better in every aspect, in my opinion. Although I am still upset about their prices being raised and how an extra bowl of rice costs almost $ 2.00, I would definitely recommend this location over the one on Guad.
