Clearly one of the best Thai food restaurants I have been to. Owned and operated by a Thai family, they bring genuine recipes from home. The food is always fresh and the service is good. Need a little patience with some of the difficulties with English but the servers work hard and get you what you need. Highly recommend!

Really solid Thai place close to home. Good tom kha, pad thai and pad kee mow. I would do delivery from here daily if it weren’t socially unacceptable.

Delicious Thai food! My boyfriend and I are Thai snobs. We started with the fresh vegetable spring rolls, and the pot stickers. Could have done without the pot stickers(but I was craving them after seeing a picture on Unilocal). The spring rolls were awesome, they are huge and truly fresh. The peanut sauce and sweet & sour sauce were so tasty and complemented the rolls well. We both got curry for our meals. I got the pineapple curry(basically red curry + pineapple) spicy level 4. My man got jungle fever curry, Thai spicy. They were both very flavorful, but our one complaint is that the portions were HUGE. The bowls were very deep and had so much chicken, I couldn’t even come close to finishing it. I was nervous about the service after reading reviews on Unilocal, but they were very sweet and they spoke decent English to me. Just need to be patient, and understand that there is a language barrier. She had no problem with the Unilocal 15% off either! Overall great experience! We will be back!

The 3 star rating is based solely on the service. We had a very difficult time placing our order, as the individual taking it did not understand/speak English. We attempted to find out the difference between two dishes and she simply repeated everything we just asked. We ended up just ordering soup. As for the soup, it was quite delicious! If I were evaluating the restaurant on food alone, it would definitely be a solid 4.5 Note: we also ran into problems when we attempted to pay, as she(or waitress) kept running into issues operating the register. In her defense, we did use a 15% discount from Unilocal, which changed things up at the last minute.

My wife and I love Chang Thai. We’ve done takeout there three times now, and it never disappoints. I typically get the Beef Pad Thai and its awesome, however recently I’ve been mixing it up with the Beef Pad Seou, and it’s very good. My wife loves the Yellow Curry and the Spring Roles. While their English is below average, the service is still very good.

This is based on our first visit but it won’t be our last. Chang Thai is a delightful find tucked away near the WalMart near I35& Parmer Lane. I had a very tasty and satisfying Phad Ga-Prow with tofu and my companion had the equally fine Tom Kha soup and we both left happy that we chanced upon this restaurant in the first place. I ordered my Ga-Prow with 4 out of 5 stars spicy and it was delightfully spicy without overriding the taste of the Tofu and the large cuts of vegetables. I really enjoyed this dish. The accompanying brown rice was nutty and tasty and was a substantial portion. I’m a big guy and I left quite satisfied. My companion was equally satisfied with her soup, it was full of chicken and vegetables. It was a slow night but the service was good natured and attentive. Our order was on our table within 10 minutes and the price was right. We look forward to more.

This restaurant has the most delicious Thai food I’ve had yet. Medium spicy was medium spicy, the peanut sauce was delicious, fresh, and warm. Pad Thai is very good but could use some crumbled peanuts.

Lately, I have become a fan of Thai food! And probably the thai food what we get in America is too good! Maybe its Americanized but its awesome as long as they make our taste buds feel better. Portions are great and so is the service.

The lunch special is unbeatable. Salad bar with soup and fried items as well, is included in the lunch special.

Served us old papaya salad with dark rotten crab. It smelled so bad and we notified the server. She took it back and brought the exact same one out. This place has disgusting/bland food. Everyone on here giving 4 – 5 stars either has never tried awesome Thai food or your taste buds for food is completely off. I will never return to this place again. Keep your old smelly crabs. Trying to tell me that the crab was pickled… yea okay. I happen to be a chef and I know how pickled seafood tasted like versus rotting crab sitting in its own juice for days.

Writing this review while I’m in the place… should speak for itself. I have never came across the worst restaurant and rude wait staff ever till date in all my experience. So we ordered 2 spring rolls(vegetable) which came out having meat in it not sure which type it was, ordered vegetable pad Thai but that too came out with egg. And when we tried to confront the server about it we got new order of spring rolls but burnt and they had the guts to ask money from us for the Pad Thai and told us you should have told us you are vegetarian. Fair warning to everyone that you should only go to this place when you are OK to be pissed but rude management

Lunch here is great, but I’d recommend getting there before noon, it’s a popular place. The food is great. Lunch special is a great deal and always delicious. The soups are excellent, the salad selection always fresh and good, the entres top knotch. My only criticism would be the spring rolls on the salad bar. Not bad but not in my top favorites.

The food at this place was wonderful. My husband and I found it because of a discount and will definitely be back. This is by far my favorite Thai place in the area. There was a slight language barrier with the waitress but she was very sweet and kept our glasses full. I ordered the Phad See-Ew and my husband got the Evil Jungle. We got the edamame for our toddler. We both ordered it with a spice level of 4(on a level of 1 – 5). He had a ton of food. I was a little jealous about his quantity. Don’t get me wrong, mine was plenty. His was just very large. I noticed that many of the other dishes ordered around me were also large. Now the best part… the taste. My husband’s dish was very spicy and more flavorful than mine. I was kind of glad because I probably couldn’t have eaten too much of mine if mine was as hot as his. He couldn’t stop eating his and I kept reaching for a bite here and there as well. There was an issue with the bill because they struggled with the discount but hopefully it was fixed in the end. Otherwise, it was a wonderful little place and I can’t wait to go back.

It was good! I agree with the review that stated it may not be the most authentic, but I would go back! Good service, used the check-in and got 15% off, tried green curry fried rice, yellow curry with noodles, and another noodle dish. I really liked the yellow curry!

Wonderful bubble tea and they deliver! The staff is so accommodating and friendly. I usually order vermicelli at Vietnamese restaurants, but prefer grilled chicken breast over dark meat. This restaurant serves dark, but when I asked for white meat they offered to make the change at no charge. And the food was delicious !

Everything we ordered were well portioned and delicious. The Fuji mushroom is a must! The Tom Yum wasn’t spicy per the description but still full of flavors and quite good. The pot option is more than enough for group of four. When we went, the placed was understaffed and service slow. Our water was not refilled not even once until we had to flag down someone near the end of our meal and ask for dessert options and to refill our cups. They weren’t friendly but not rude and disrespectful either. They just seemed really busy and tired but it was end of day. Also if you check in on Unilocal, you get 15% off! Overall, found the prices reasonable and impressed with the food.

Chang thai is fresh and straight forward thai food! The service is attentive. They have different specials everyday and most entrees are 9 or 10 bucks. Try the iced coffee and a flat noodle dish with basil in it! My only complaint is location wise, they are located in a strip mall near a very busy wal-mart at parmer/35. At certain times, it can be a real hassle exiting that shopping center but it has great places to eat, such as Chang Thai, Ho Ho’s, French Quarter Grille and BOMBAYEXPRESS(my fav! if you can’t tell!)

This little gem is tucked away in a shopping center off 35 near Parmer Lane. I was looking for a quick fix lunch spot for myself and my team of guys at work. We all agreed on this place and couldn’t have been happier with our selection. We got seated right away and the lady was very friendly. I ordered some pork dumplings and some sort of curry coconut soup which was absolutely amazing! One of my co workers got the pineapple curry and the other had some sort of soup. All the dishes we had were superb. If you’re looking for a nice spot for lunch, this is your place. Everything tastes fresh and perfectly spiced.

We went to Chang Thai for dinner for the first time last Sunday. We have read mixed reviews but food was really delish. We had Chang Thai steamed dumplings, Phad Spicy level 2 heat, Phad See Eww level 3 heat with beef. Beef on both dishes were really good. We would of give five stars if they have more servers. They look like they are short handed. For desserts, we had mango with sweet coconut rice. We definitely will be back. We want to try their fried whole tilapia and Tom Kha next time.
