While here for a Unilocal event(a different review as that focuses on the event), I tried for the first time a Blaze Fast Fire’d Pizza. This is an assembly line pizza place where you can go for specials or build your own. The crust is a thin crust. I chose the build your own as I was going for an old school type of pizza without a bunch of fru fru. I chose the classic red sauce, Italian sausage, shredded mozzarella, pepperoni and mushrooms. It was made in a flash and out in a flash. Around the corner of the counter is a hallway where the fountain drinks were located as well as knifes, forks and napkins. As I started to grab some tea, I noted there was a dispenser of blood orange lemonade. That was delicious! The pizza came out pronto, my name was called out and I was handed my pizza. Bottom line it was good. Even though I usually prefer a simple pizza so I can taste the crust. Next visit I will be trying a few different items, but still not building a cheese monster that masks all the other flavors that is tempting to do, but as a Margarita, Napolitano Style is my favorite, simple is good for me.

NOTES: If you read this review, then you might save yourself from a bad experience. First of all, the concept is great, the ingredients are great, the crust is arguably among the best, and the pizza is absolutely cooked to perfection. Also, and for the record, I completely disagree with another review smashing the spicy red sauce. It is a matter of style and I enjoyed it. You probably will too if you enjoy spicy food. So, with all this love, why the bad rating? My bad rating, after multiple visits with groups, is due to Blaze’s inconsistent product. There were three people assigned to food prep in their«deli style» counter. One of the young ladies was very stingy with cheese. Typically, pizza and Italian food joints use cheese a crutch and a little restraint is welcome; not in this case. I will upload a picture to show what I mean. Clearly, either poor training or a stingy food policy is the culprit. Many times pizza places cut back on cheese as it is an enormous percentage of the cost per unit. So, if this is a policy issue, then I recommend Blaze raises prices a few cents to cover the cost to deliver a quality product. Some of you may dismiss my complaint by saying the issue may be limited by to one poorly trained employee. In that case, remember this: I watched one employee spoiled the product for at least one third of the patrons during my visit. That’s a huge deal. Either way, if you visit the place, then you should be pleased. Unfortunately, prepare to assert your cheese rights!

For those of you who have very specific pizza requirements Blaze is perfection. I confess I was a little apprehensive about it as I’ve had MOD pizza in Westlake a couple of times and never been especially impressed. But my fears were completely unfounded. The staff at Blaze completely blew me away with how enthusiastic, efficient and polite they were. The construction line is impressively speedy. I hade a white based pizza with mozzarella AND goats cheese, chicken, bacon, mushrooms, red onion, artichoke and rosemary. Seriously delicious savoury dough, crisp on the bottom and beautifully cooked through. Toppings were fresh and flavourful and generally excellent. All nutrition info is on the boards so you know how much damage you’re doing(of in my case, ignore it as you gleefully request piles of extra cheese) Pricing seems pretty crazily low, they charge per pizza not per topping so you can go all out — and still pay about $ 8 a person. It’s still fast food, but it’s fast food done right, and impeccably politely. These guys aren’t too far from us and I foresee a lot of our tired Friday night pizza sessions being conducted here!

I really wanted to like, even love, Blaze Pizza. The concept of a custom made pizza with unlimited toppings is something that I can easily get behind. But there’s one thing that holds me back from giving a rave review. The spicy red sauce. I’ve never had anything like it and in this case, it’s not a compliment. On my first visit, I asked the gentleman preparing my pizza if he recommended the traditional red sauce or the spicy. He immediately suggested the spicy red and already had my pizza started before he even told me the ingredients — namely garlic, cayenne pepper, and bits of jalapeño. At this point, I was already skeptical, but the pizza was already being made. The spicy sauce didn’t add any real flavor per se, but was harsh and left a peppery tingle on my tongue. I love spicy, but this wasn’t a spicy that I could like, much less love. Three bites in and I was done. Another made to order pizza chain offers to remake a pizza if you don’t like your original creation. At the very least, I can say that Blaze doesn’t advertise such an offer. I wish they did, because I want to give the pizza another try. But now, all I can think of is a spicy sauce that makes me not want pizza for a while.

A super fast fresh, hot pizza place. Your pizza is made to your specifications and is ready in 3 – 5 minutes. I like that they list the calories for each ingredient and you don’t pay extra for more add ons. The staff are super friendly. Their website is entertaining… read the FAQs. The environment is a bit loud but lively. The also have beer and wine. I will definitely come back again.

This place was awesome. I saw it from the highway and decided to give it a shot! You pay to make your own pizza! 7.95 to build your own pizza with unlimited toppings! If you like lemonade, be sure and try their blonde orange lemonade! Worth it! I even had a manager come out to me personally to check how things were! Overall great experience. I will definitely be going back!

For those of us incapable of ordering a specialty pie without adding/removing certain toppings, Blaze is pretty much heaven. You get to choose each item, from the sauce to the toppings to the garnishes. The best part? You can have as many as you want for one set price! The combinations are endless. Every employee I encountered was incredibly friendly and helpful, walking me through the process since it was my first visit. The ingredients are super fresh and clearly labeled so you know what you’re ordering, including the calorie count on each. The crust was thick enough to hold all of the toppings, but thin enough to still be crispy. Perfect! I hadn’t even finished my first slice before I started dreaming about the pie I’d create next time. For the record it would be: white sauce, roasted garlic, bacon, ricotta, cherry tomatoes, olive oil drizzle, and fresh basil. And next time will likely be tonight.

We came to Blaze because we received a coupon for a free pizza in the mail and we will DEFINITELY be going back! Super fast and SUPER friendly staff. Not to mention, the pizza was really good! The place looks great and I love that literally everything has a calorie count next to it. And they have beer on tap. But seriously, the friendly staff was the best part! They all seemed so happy to be working on a Saturday :). Blaze is definitely worth a try!

Being a pie five fan, I had hopes of this place… Well they did NOT disappoint! Pieology let me down. The pizza and service are great. Everyone behind the line were both fast and friendly, making sure I was satisfied. The crust is crisp and the pizza is tasty. I chose the BBQ chicken pizza and added a few items. I will definitely be back!

Chipotle assembly line ordering setup that works well, is fully explained by the cheerful employees behind the counter, is cooked in mere minutes and is really good. I ordered the build your own style pizza with a spicy red sauce, mozzarella, ricotta, meatballs, sausage, red peppers, and garlic cloves. This pizza is good. The outstanding aroma that the fire baked garlic cloves give off will make non-garlic believers, believe. Good for families, quick lunches, dinners, and is affordably priced at around the 7 – 8 dollar mark for a pizza. I’ll be back.

I went to Blaze Fast Fire’d Pizza for the first time today with a friend. I saw this new place as I drove into town from Houston to visit my family. Thought I would try it out. For being a first timer, the staff was super friendly and attentive. My friend and I said it was our first time and the staff explained how the process worked. It is like the Subway of Pizza. If you build your own pizza the toppings are limitless. The staff were very attentive to your choices and really pay attention. They make sure they have the correct ingredients in your pizza. In addition they know how to make you laugh. I went with the build your own pizza. The prices were really reasonable. $ 7.95 for build your own or if you don’t want to then you can pick their signature selections for the same price. They have a 1 topping pizza for $ 6.25 and a simple pie for $ 5. The pizza came out in less than 10 min(maybe about 5 min). Super fast! I asked to get a to go box because the pizzas are really a good size! But this place has half boxes for you for your leftovers. The taste of the pizza was really really good! I really enjoyed the taste, which is different from your typical Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, Domino’s. I loved that I wasn’t limited to the topping I could put on my pizza! I got the spicy red sauce, shredded mozzarella, ovalini mozzarella, applewood bacon, grilled chicken, pepperoni, smoke ham, black olives, cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, mushrooms, spinach, green bell peppers, and red onions. Delicious! For my drink, i tried the blood orange lemonade and I really enjoyed it! The atmosphere is very modern and clean. The staff would come over and checked on us and asked if we needed anything. They were really friendly and wanted to make sure you had a great experience. Will definitely come back!

I usually do not compare restaurants in reviews but it is hard to visit Blaze Fast Fire’d and Mod Pizza without comparing the two. Blaze is indeed fast and service is super friendly. One of the 5 employees even mentioned how much fun he has making pizzas and clearly enjoyed being there. Similar to Mod Pizza, Blaze Fast Fire’d has a set price for pizza(except for their simple cheese pizza with one topping which is less expensive), lists their nutritional information and you can watch your build to order pizza made right in front of you. I like Blaze’s crispy crust more than Mod Pizza’s crust but I wish Blaze offered smaller pizza option like Mod Pizza offers. Here is what I love and/or like about Blaze: — They list the nutritional information for their pizzas and delicious salads — Have a grab-n-go salad selection — Serve some local Texas beers to include Black Star Coop, 512 and Guns & Oil — Have a wine on tap — Sell Pellegrino(I love my bubbly waters) — Quick and friendly service — Both sweetened and unsweetened tea — Lists calorie information on the menu — Patio seating What would make me like them more: — Smaller pizza offerings — Offer plates when people are sharing pizza(s) We ordered the Red Vine and a glass of red wine. I enjoyed this vegetarian friendly pie with its crispy crust, gooey cheese and light red sauce.

Did a little research before coming here. from so-cal, thin crust, byo pizza… was a little hestitant, but I loved it! Pizza was cooked perfectly, staff was friendly, helpful, nice, and accommodating. I did the build your own pizza– spicy red sauce, pepperoni, fresh basil. Was not disappointed! The restuarant was clean and modern. This is my new fast casual pizza place!

Went by Blaze Pizza to try it for the first time. I ordered online and once I arrived I was told the pizza would be cooked. I thought that was different. Anyway I waited for another 10 minutes. Finally the pizzas were done I got home and had a burnt pizza. What upset me the most is someone saw the pizzas was burnt and put it in there anyway. I called and the manager offered me coupons to come back. I asked for a refund and he told me he would have to call me back so he could ask his manager??? After 15 minutes I got the call he was going to refund my card. For all of these reasons I’m out.

Okay, I went here once on Saturday and once on Sunday.(We went Sunday because we received a Coupon). The Atmosphere: The atmosphere is good. The music is WAY too loud. I have a hard time hearing as it is, but i couldnt hear the people call my name for my order, and i was raising my voice at my husband for us to be able to talk to each other over the music… It makes it overwhelming. Turn it down a notch. The People: The people are SO kind. They write your name on your paper, so everyone down the Pizza line calls you by your name. Everyone has a smile. Everyone is on their game and is motivated. NOWTHEFOOD: Very good food!!! It is very close to Pieology, but, the difference is that i could really TASTE the freshness of the Ricotta cheese at Blaze. They do dollops, so i do a mix of mozzarella and ricotta and it was yummy! Very impressed. The crust is also not overly greased like Pieology is, so GOODJOB on that one guys! It makes it truly enjoyable to not be drenched in oils. I say overall, i would choose this place over Pieology. Prices are the same, but it seems that Blaze has a better quality of food… And much better(Happier) people working here. I will be coming back. I have already recommended friends. It is always nice to have a quality pizza instead of Dominoes or Pizza Hut’s crap. The only reason i deducted a star was because the music being so loud killed the experience. I like being able to talk to my husband when he is sitting in front of me… Not have to shout to hear each other.

Came here for opening day. Was driving by and saw a band playing tunes in front of Blaze. Sampled(for free) one of the pizzas(normally costing $ 7.95). I ordered a ½ margherita(«Red Vine»), ½ sausage(«Link In»). Came out fast and hot — tasting *extremely* good. There are a lot of choices on the menu, including salads and local beers. I also ordered a gorgonzola veggie salad — the vegetables were tasty although not a lot of gorgonzola involved. The oil&vinegar dressing(also made in house) was delish, however.

Went here for the grand opening and was very pleasantly surprised. Their set up is very similar to Pie Five in terms of paying a set price for a personal sized pizza regardless of what toppings you order on it. I believe it costs about 7 – 8 dollars for a pizza and there are also signature pizzas you can choose from with pre-set toppings. They had so many toppings and they were all fresh. I loved having the fresh mozzarella cheese as an option and they had a ton of meat options as well(turkey meat balls, italian meat balls, salami, pepperoni, italian sausage, bacon). They also had fresh basil and spinach, roasted garlic cloves, artichoke hearts, kalamata olives… and much more. They also allow you to add drizzles on your pizza at the end — I highly recommend the pesto drizzle. The crush is chewy and since they make it in a brick oven it’s a little charred but has that awesome smokey flavor. I would definitely choose this place over any other personal pizza place like it. Check them out!
