I’m updating my review and giving Café On The Canal 4 stars. I just had lunch there and enjoyed it. They had a few special fresh items, which made me happy. I ordered the Black Bean Burger with provolone cheese and a side of mac and cheese. I enjoyed it. It was made fresh and the perfect temperature. I dined with a friend who ordered soup and fried pickles, which she also enjoyed. Again, they offer a buffet. The buffet had some good choices like black eyed peas, salad and more. I think it changes daily. The dining area is nice with tables. They also have an outside dining area, which is great for the upcoming Spring and Summer weather. The café has a self service style setup except for the food. But you must get your own silverware, drink, napkins, condiments and put away your plate or tray. Good exercise after a nice lunch. I’d go again during lunch hours.

I didn’t even know the NEW Kroc center had a café that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. I simply thought The Salvation Army created a community center in an old part of Augusta on Broad Street… So, the café is found in the middle of the NEW Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center. Found out that the center had a café through Augusta Daily deals on 9÷27÷12. $ 5 for $ 10! Can’t wait to TRY! It looks good… They advertise slow roasting their own corned beef to make a reuben sandwich…
It looks very cafeteria style, but can’t wait to try.(fingers crossed)
