If you need some to watch your children while you work out this is no longer the place to go. I signed up myself and my husband and our 2 kids and was told they offer child watch for little kids and older kids
3-​months to 6 years and then 7 – 13 in an older group.
Well, I paid a month and when school let out and I needed to use the child watch to work out I was told it was no longer available for older then 6 (my son just turned 8). And if I wanted him to be watched I would have to pay to but him in summer camp which was a few hundred dollars. Mind you I am paying the premium membership for my whole family that includes free child care at an extra cost. My husband (military) had ended up leaving for a deployment. So, there was no way I could workout at the GYM at all without someone watching both my 3 and 8 year old. It isn’t like I can leave them at home and go work out.
I pointed out that I just signed up and only did so because I was told they had child watch for both my kids. I then pointed out that even on the website it said their was a «Kroc kids» child watch for older kids with the hours on it.
All I was told was that shouldn’t be on there and they would take it down. I canceled my membership so I wouldn’t be charged more. But they didn’t even offer a partial refund for the rest of the month that I wasn’t going to be able to use. It is fine if you have babies or no kids but if you have older kids you might as well go to the Ymca. Oh, also my kids wanted to join because of the big water slide. Well it was closed the whole time because it was «too hot» (this was right after school ended so it was still in the 70s 80s not 100s) and I guess they used to have air conditioning for the life guard at the top was broken. They didn’t seem to care about fixing it. So a big draw for kids to join was like a fake decoration.
