Came in right before the post-church crowd slammed the place. Lady at the counter and the chef were friendly and helpful with the menu. Mom & I both wanted to get a build your own salad and split the chicken salad sandwich. She said«no you’ll not eat that all, its a lot of food». I saw a salad later and she was wrong, it wasn’t that big. We were hoping to get info on things to do around No. Augusta/Augusta after eating, both the lady and chef offered their help before we sat down but they didn’t really seem to know anything about the area upon further discussion.

We went twice about 2 weeks apart hoping to see something different on the menu but even the soups were the same. Not as good as Atlanta Bread or Panera but not bad for North Augusta.

It is great! Went here for lunch and I cannot stress how much a friendly owner makes a difference. She made sure we were happy with our meal an definitely made us feel at home. I wanted to take a picture of my food to post but I ate it too fast! I had the egg salad on a Hawaiian roll with a bowl of french onion soup with greek pasta salad. One of the best places for lunch in North Augusta. Pro tip: after lunch walk down to the brick pond park for a great scenic afternoon to digest

This place is just so close to right. I had the #10 Downing St(Brie & Chicken on croissant with dill mayonnaise). It was a really good ideas, but lacking in sparkle – with a little dark-leaf lettuce, a juicy-ripe tomato, and a vinaigrette-tossed dark leaf salad, the sandwich would have been just right. Instead, it was a grocery-store deli croissant halfheartedly warmed up, layered with chicken(which was good) and smothered in brie. I’m all for smothering, but with a punch of flavor, please! The naan pizza was okay. The price was right $ 3! A perfect snack. And the pesto & cheese was yum. But the tomatoes were pale, barely pink, hard & uncooked. Bummer. Its a cute little counter, cakes arranged on glass-topped pedestals, and someone clearly has an eye for decorating the place. But service is a little slow, and a little strange. The owner is a wee bit scattered & stressed. Taking our order at the counter, she kept breaking eye contact to have about 5 different conversations with cooks, sandwich assemblers, etc while she was taking our pretty simple order. I just wanted to say«focus, focus, please!» And the wait was about 20 minutes, and there was no line. Anyway, its new and working out the kinks. And North Augusta really needs a cute little local café serving sandwiches and salads that are(somewhat) healthy. So, I’ll give them a few weeks and try again. My main complaint is that it is kind of like eating a homemade sandwich. Which is fine, except for 7.5 — 9 dollars, I’d like something I can’t make myself.
