Let me first start off by saying that I’m a licensed cosmetologist, so I know what the state regulations on sanitation are, and this place was not sanitary at all. The guy who did my nails didn’t really clean them other than a quick buff and wipe of polish remover, didn’t put anything down on the table before he started and the file/buffer block was clearly already used! To make matters worse, he ripped my skin with that file, left a lump of polish, and didn’t shape all my nails the way I asked. They didn’t even offer a discount when he injured me! Will not be returning.

Walked in and sat right down for gel manicure and pedicure, no wait. Salon neat and clean with friendly employees. My very expensive gel manicure chipped the next day on three different nails. Wish I had of read the reviews. Will not be going back.

Sloppily had gel nail polish put on here for $ 38. The top coat is literally stuck to the edges of my skin. Not sure how this will hold up since gel nail polish is supposed to last atleast a week or two. They try to charge you extra for things you clearly didn’t ask for. My friend came with me asking for a pink and white acrylic full set and they insisted on the gel set which is about $ 55 because it will look shinier. Overall a sloppy over priced and pushy place.

Wish I had read the reviews before I sat down in the chair but I was desperate for an after work relaxing pedicure. They talked me into the $ 5 up charge even though I asked if the callous remover was standard in a pedicure? They replied it’s a «special gel» that gets rid of them. I said fine but that my callouses better be gone if I was paying extra for it and they said they would be. They tried to push the spa pedicure and I said no. The lady asked if I wanted a design and I said no. They definitely weren’t as pushy as some reviews said on here. The«callous remover» was exactly like what every other nail place does. I usually don’t fall for that BS but apparently I did today. $ 30 of my hard earned money for a normal pedicure. There was a leg massage included with my normal pedicure so maybe they smartened up a little after the reviews on here. Still a RIPOFF for the callouss remover.

Worst. Recently went for a manicure/pedicure. I’ve been to Kayti’s before, and the only thing that temped me to come back — and really the ONLY positive thing I have to say about the place — is that it is a much quieter place than a mall nail salon, so I feel like it’s a little bit more relaxing. But the good times stop there. First of all, I hate that this place is always pushing the upcharge services. You have to be VERY stern if you just want a classic pedicure — to the point where YOU feel like the jerk. This time, I was talked into a callus removal. Honestly, my feet weren’t that bad, but she was just so darn pushy about it, I was willing to pay the five dollars just to shut her up.(I think that’s their game.) I draw the line at a «spa» pedicure, though. You’re pretty much paying an additional $ 15 for just a little more massage time. Not worth it. I read a magazine as the nail technician did my feet, and I didn’t look down to check on my toes. Silly me. I had picked out a spring-y pastel pink. When I finally looked down, my toes were NEON pink. It was atrocious! She had mixed up the nail polish bottles! I pointed out the mistake, but she didn’t offer to repaint them. She actually seemed irritated at ME. I get it, I could have caught the mistake earlier — but that’s just it: it was HER mistake. I didn’t feel like arguing, so I just went with it. It’s nail polish, it comes off. She did a nice job shaping and painting my fingernails, but it started chipping in less than 24 hours! I’m a teacher; I don’t do a lot of typing or anything else aggressive on my nails. Seriously, a manicure that lasts less than a day?! Give me a break. A friend texted me tonight and mentioned she was headed for a pedicure there. I warned her, but she was desperate. Guess what? Same technician, similar experience. The technician asked if she wanted to add a «design» for an extra $ 5. Guess what my friend ended up with? Polka dots. Really? $ 5 for polka dots? Come on, now. Never again.

Very Upset with this place. This is my 2nd time. The first time I spent $ 45.00 to get the«spa» pedicure. Well normally it’s 37.00 for the same thing other salons. I went in today just wanting the Pedicure, not spa. Well she insisted I get my caulous removed so she say another 5 doller. I said fine, but then she skipped the message on my legs never doing a scrub which you ALWAYS get at other places. She said that’s extra. Then gave me this bull crap spheel about how they are doing it wrong and it doesn’t work. Blah blah blah. Well guess what lady! I will NEVER reccomend this palce or go back about. Not worth the 30 bucks! I love going to creative nails and spa in shrewsbury, greendale mall, and westboro. It’s very far from my house, but you get what you pay for and those places are 10x better!

I’ve been to Kayti Nails a few times, but each time I feel like they’re always trying to up sell on additional services, and are quite pushy about it. I’ve experienced this myself and have seem them push it on other ladies to the point where you can tell the customer is clearly uncomfortable after having politely declined several times. Today, Kayti’s employee asked if I wanted to get my callous removed(going rate is usually an additional $ 5 at other salons), but she said it would be $ 45 with 2 leg massages or something? I said no, so she said it’d be $ 30, so I agreed. She did a mediocre job, my callous weren’t all gone and she didn’t do a thorough job getting rid of the dried skin on my toes. Also, I question how sanitary her callous remover was, since she only seemed to rinse it with soap and water(gross!) She also didn’t put a hot towel on my leg, which is common in all other salons I’ve been too. Then, when I gave the woman 2 $ 20 bills for my $ 30 pedicure, she asked me, «you give me $ 40,» clearly implying that I didn’t want change. So I told her, I’d like change. That was bit annoying of her to try and get a $ 10 tip for a $ 30 so-so pedicure. Also, the owner/manager asks too many personal questions to everyone. I understand she may be trying to make conversation, but seems a bit too intrusive. I’m going to stick to going to T&C Nails at the Auburn Mall, even though Kayti is slightly closer. They have hot towels there and there is no sketchiness.

MAJOR«eh» — décor is very nice and it seems to be very clean but don’t waste your time/money. I’d never been in to Kayti before and I had a half hour or so to kill so I popped in for a manicure. I get 5x the manicure for $ 3 less at my usual place in Framingham. Most places I’ve been, they get ready for the hand massage portion of the service by slapping a ¼lb of lotion on your hands/arms and you think to yourself«yippee it’s going to take forever to rub all that in!!» and you sit back, relax, and enjoy. Well, the girl who was working on me put about enough lotion on to moisturize my big toe, and then just tugged on each of my fingers a few times before having me wash my hands. Humph, well, ok, fine. I was also in a fairly cutesy mood, I picked out a nice pink(OPI Kiss Me On My Tulips – love it) and a multi-color glitter to accent my ring fingers. The glitter didn’t cover the way I pictured it, so I politely asked if she could put one more coat on those two nails. She«ya ya ya’d» me and totally didn’t, just slathered some clear on there and scooted me over to the nail dryers. Last time I «pay first», I’ll be waiting until my nails are nice and dry and what I asked for before forking it over. Kayti gets the 2nd star for the benefit of the doubt factor, maybe the chick doing my nails was having a bad day? None the less, I’ll never go back.

I have now gone to Kayti nails for my last 3 fills and I’m very pleased. My nails are consistently done well and I like that they’ll add tip on to the credit card. Small thing — but since I don’t always have cash on me – it’s a timesaver. Also, it’s only $ 5 to get a toe nail polish change! That’s incredible and they do such a great job :) Also, for being in a strip mall — this place is really well decorated. The coloring and large graphic pieces actually add a «spa» feel. That’s quite the feat for their location!
