Friendly’s

I have always loved friendlys — especially the prices. Right now they have a limited $ 5.55 menu — sandwich and fries for $ 5.55. What a bargain.
My annoyance with the chain in general is that it is sooo slow. Why should it take an hour for a sandwich?
So today we went to the Auburn friendlys. As soon as we were seated and the waitress came over, I told her that we had to be out of there in ½ hour. Kathleen did everything to make sure that happened. We got our beverage, food, ice cream and check and were merrily on our way in 30 minutes.

Received 2 dirty glasses of water, a real turnoff. Salad was fine. Server was pleasant.

I love going to friendlys, there food is great everytime I go there. However this restaurant has poor poor service. The hostess was asking for people’s names that has already been seated and taken care of. We had 3 different waitresses? They didn’t know that one already took the order and that the other one was grabbing one of our sauces. They didn’t know we already paid with those new computer things they have on the table. It’s very loud and busy inside, you can’t hear yourself think and they need to make the dinning room much bigger. I had one baby screaming behind my ear cause we where sitting so close and my boyfriend had a man cauphing down the back of his neck. It’s great that it’s always busy, I mean they have great food but they should really think of expanding the room so that people don’t have to eat on top of each other and communicating with each other better.

Best price you’ll ever find for an ice cream sandwich, but I actually don’t think the cookies are anything
long as the line is reasonable… meaning I actually don’t go that often anymore.

The place looks clean. I heard the people next to me find hair in their food, soo that kind of killed the mood. When my table got our food it was good, my chicken tenders could of been cook a little more but other then that it was good. Its not the best friendly’s i been to but good enough for those far away from home

I came here this past weekend with my family and it was an overall good experience. Our server Chelsea was awesome. But on the other hand when we walked in, the hostess ignored us for about 5 – 10 minutes so we were left standing at the door uncomfortable. When she finally wanted to acknowledge us, she was so rude and unpleasant. She brought us to our table, put the menus down, rolled her eyes and walked away. And she did it to other tables after us as well. I was horrified she was awful. But the great servers and food made up for it and the manager was a sweet heart. During my dinner the servers bought one of their regular customers, who I believe is disabled, an ice cream cake because it was her birthday and sang happy birthday. It had me in tears it was so nice! Now if only they got rid of the hostess or offered her some personality classes I would give 5 stars. I do recommend.

Well, I didn’t know about a menu deal, so I called ahead and asked if they could simply remove some toppings in the grilled cheese sandwich because I’m a vegeterian. Annoyed, they said yes. When I walked in, things started to go down hill. When I walked in, the manager asked me «are you the one that called about the grilled cheese» and I said «.yes». She then said «Consider this your Christmas present». A little confused, but I understood she was trying to be funny? Ok. No big deal. Later on she comes over to our table after we place our orders and she says «you want tomatoes on the sandwich. right?» and I kindly said «no thanks». She then rolls her eyes and yells into the kitchen «take off the tomatoes too» and then walks away. My friend even commented on her behavior to me, and I thought it was bizzare too. The food was good though, that’s why I will not give a one star review. It was just odd how they treated us. On the phone, I was also told I had to tell the waiter that I called about the deal because it was something they did not have??? Overall, I feel like I should have been treated nicer. Our waiter was very nice, but did confuse us. She pointed to 5 sundaes she said came with our meal, and when we asked for one she went to get it and came back and told us «you can’t get that one with your meal». So I picked another one, and that was the «second one» we couldn’t get with our meal either. Weird. I don’t know why dinner was so hard for us.

My family and I come here often. The food is very good and the service is on point. The place does seem fairly clean but it is incredibly small. Sign up for Friendly’s emails and they will send good coupons.

this is the worst friendly’s ive ever been to. the wait is always way too long and they rarely get my order right. the only reason i went back a second and third time was because sometimes the food itself is ok and its the only friendly’s near me, but the service has now officially kept me away. the straw that broke the camels back was when i walked in on my lunch break and placed an order to go. sat down, began to wait, watched the clock tick along and decided after 15 minutes i should ask how much longer it would take. i was told the order wasnt even started yet, and just couldnt believe it. very bad, they act like they are doing you a favor by serving you, its the other way around people, wake up

the pancakes kept falling apart on me. i dont like that type of pancake. the home fries were okay. all in all i am sticking to mom and pop and local restaurants. Chains are disappointing.

This is the most solid, consistent friendly’s in the area. Everywhere else makes ice cream like they’re paying for the toppings out of their pockets. We have been here a couple times for meals and they have been solid.

We occasionally come here for breakfast. They serve the typical omeletts, waffles, french toast.
The staff has always been friendly, and the food good.

This is the smallest Friendly’s ever. Its nice inside, but it feels like you are eating on top of your neighbor. And some of your neighbors can be um overwhelming?! :-D
Service is good, but hit and miss depending on the server. But its Friendly’s, not the 111, so keep that in mind too.
Their ice cream and melts are great comfort food, and how can you not like their grilled cheese? HOW? :)

Recently went for ice cream with my parents. Our harleys were the only vehicles in the parking lot on a sunday afternoon. We ordered 4 ice creams from take-​out and though the. product was alright it took almost 15 minutes for ice cream. Overall the ice cream was decent, service was friendly but very slow.

I like Friendly’s in general but the one in Auburn, Ma is very small. I feel almost claustrophobic going there, because there isn’t much room. The service was good, but the food I find to be heavy and sometimes doesn’t settle with me. The ice cream is usually good, but it’s not one of my fav. places to eat. It’s just eh, for me.

I was in the area recently, when I heard the scream from the back seat, «I want Friendlys.» So off we went for a grilled cheers sandwich for the munchkin and a chicken strips basket for me.
There was a little miscommunication because she was disappointed to see a plate of sliders delivered. Our waitress was quick to come back with the wished for sandwich making everyone happy. For that quick fix, we give an extra star.
It’s funny but I think the service is better when you dine with a child. Just throwing that thought out there.
