May most of the time. I will spend here. Best relaxation place in Rochester hills thanks Starbucks

I gave this Starbucks a 4.5 stars in comparison to other Starbucks I have been to and to other coffee shops in the area. It’s Starbucks, so you pretty much know what you getting in terms of selection. However, this location goes above the average Starbucks experience. It is always clean, there’s a good amount of table space, and the staff is absolutely wonderful. I study here quite a bit and they are genuinely kind people that go above and beyond in their duties. The wifi is always fast and doesn’t cut out. Also, compared to other coffee shops in the area(the very limited selection) this Starbucks tops them all.

I am not a big fan of Starbucks coffee. The coffee has grainy texture, and there is always an after taste of burned beans in my mouth when I drink it. That being said, I do come here sometimes because it is a good study spot. I also like their refresher drinks(particularly the lime refresher). There is a lot of space to study here, but it does get filed up pretty fast with Oakland University students. I took a star away because on a number of occasions I walked in and immediately left because there was no where for me to sit. I took another star off because it can get pretty cold in here in the winter, and because there is no where to lock a bike up outside during the summer. The internet is fast and reliable. The baristas are also super nice. If you like Starbucks you will like this place, but be warned that it often gets filled with students and it can be hard finding a place to sit.

This Starbucks is fabulous! It was recently renovated, and has a lot of seating options despite being a small store. The location has very nice décor, with lots of wood tones and coffee related pictures on the walls. Pretty standard for a Starbucks. The customer service here is great too. It can be pretty busy at times, especially during the morning, but the employees are always friendly and work quickly to get everyone on their way. Most of the times, they recognize me and ask if I’d like my regular tea! The quality of the beverages is always great, which is also pretty standard for Starbucks. There was one time that they made my drink incorrectly and they were very quick to fix the problem for me. My only complaint about this location is that there is not much parking near the entrance of the Starbucks, there are 3 spots that are reserved for a credit union that is next door. Around lunch time, it can be difficult to even find a spot. Also, this location does not have a Drive Thru.

Not the friendliest workers. Coffee is the standard Starbucks coffee nothing special.

This is in the context of Michigan. I’m not big on supporting chain coffee shops. Especially Starbuck’s. If I was in the Bay Area, I’d easily pick so many coffee shops over them. I think they burn their beans and their coffee is nothing special. Mixed drinks are always overly sweet. Coffee should also have sugar, not syrup. That’s besides the point though. I mainly go here for the ambiance — there’s plenty of seating, and a variety of it. The Wi-fi is also zippy, which makes it my main spot for studying in the area. Plenty of outlets too — it’s so nice for a coffee shop to welcome you to stay for awhile! The baristas, are also way too kind. They see me a couple times during the week and always make an effort to acknowledge you and remember your drink. They also don’t give us students attitude when we perch there for a bit to study(that’s a jab on you, Great Lakes Coffee Roasters in Detroit!) Feels like that friendly neighborhood café. I’m glad it’s near my apartment!

Great friendly staff. The store is always clean and they will literally make you anything you want anyway you want. Sometimes they will bring the drink out to me to my seat. The shop is very clean and a great place to study. Not to loud and never a big crowd hanging around. Outside seating helps with that part a lot. They have never messed up my order or anything like that. Can’t go wrong here :)

For a Starbucks, this place is terrific. Lots of seating and the employees always do a good job of taking care of you. Kept clean and with quick service. Five stars because, again for a Starbucks, they get everything right.

Excellent customer service! Walked out the door with my pumpkin spice latte and dropped it :(Reentered, prepared to purchase a new one, and the barista had another one ready for me almost immediately, free of charge. Impressive!

Your typical Starbucks. Met up with some bloggers here, I liked that they had one big«bar”-type table in the middle of the room, so we sat there. I was impressed that it wasn’t crazy busy at 8am on a Thursday, too — also nice. I’d come back here again if in the area.

I really like this Starbucks, it’s a good study spot with good internet, the only problem is the music there sometimes sucks.

A typical Starbucks. That«up north» cabin feeling with great beverages. This Starbucks is located right next to Oakland university and trust me it’s a very busy location. I enjoy the laid back atmosphere that Starbucks delivers to their customers. I typically drink a regular medium roast coffee so I don’t have much to say about what their flavored drinks are like. If it helps, all of my friends typically get their speciality drinks and have a routine they follow daily which includes getting that same drink from Starbucks. The seating Area is pretty small so I wouldn’t recommend hanging out at this specific location, few tables and when they get busy that relaxed Starbucks feeling you normally have, quickly goes away. They do have public restrooms, and they are very clean! If you’re in the area be sure to stop in and get your favorite drink.

I have never worked at Starbucks, but I know many people that have and I would have thought there would have been better training on the espresso machine. I also was thinking it would be pretty easy to make a drink from an automated machine to keep a good consistency. However, I don’t think the machine has been serviced for awhile at this location. For instance, I just watched the last few shots being pulled and it was a drip consistency and not a steady stream. Next, every time I come into this location, and I have done so pretty regularly in the last week because there is nothing else out there, no smiles? Maybe Starbucks doesn’t allow you to smile, but smile at a customer to change the culture of this place. I mean, I know Borders went out of business next door, but that was awhile ago so being sad now is no excuse. Lastly(for today), you are not adjusting the tamp manually every time you make a drink. This allows you to focus on the milk having micro-foam, so please don’t burn my fiances milk or allow there to be large bubbles in the latte. It just makes for a bad drink. In conclusion: 1. please smile at customers when they come in 2. get the darn espresso machine serviced or baristas trained in something 3. local coffee shop?

They just renovated. Seating is more plentiful now, and it has a modern vibe with a lovely aesthetic. The long, 2-sided bar in the middle of the space makes for a nice spot to study. Coffee is typical consistent Starbucks quality.

I’ve stopped into this Starbucks several times, usually between 7:30am-8am. Some mornings there isn’t anyone waiting and you are in and out in 5 minutes… but somedays when there is a wait, you wait a long time to get your drink. If you are in a hurry and theres a line… you’ll be there a little while. My only complaint is they need to work on getting the espresso based drinks out quicker. The drink quality, the cleanliness of the store and the friendly baristas make this a great store. Stop in here if you are looking for a store that knows how to acheive Starbucks drink quality.

A nice Starbucks situated across the street from Oakland University’s main campus. Everything you would expect: decent amount of seating, friendly baristas, and pleasant atmosphere. My only gripe is that it’s a PITA to get too!

My friendly neighborhood Starbucks!!!ü There is really not much to say about this coffee joint since their standards are actually beyond what I expected. The baristas are wonderful and always helpful. I just have to know their names better. They are actually very good in marketing the new items on the menu. The staff even gave me a hot tip… Free Coffee on Earth Day!!! if you don’t have a tumbler or travel mug for everyday use, Starbucks is selling them for 20% off on Earth Day, April 22. Stock up caffeine addicts!!!(One more thing I admire about the company’s Local and Global Responsibility). After having a coffee decoction(Nonfat Iced Caramel Machiato) under 200 calories, there is still room for a guilty pleasure. My current lowbrow dissipation includes Starbucks Petites, particularly Lemon Sweet Squares, Red Velvet Whoopie Pie and Peanut Butter Mini Cupcakes. They are a little bit pricey but it’s definitely worth a try.
