Gotta say it’s an overall friendly environment where you can enjoy some good food and kick back for a few drinks. If you’re looking to take your family to a place on the shore, this is the one.

The absolute worst service I’ve ever had. My party came in early before a movie and the waitress(Stephanie) took 10 minutes to take our drink order and everything got progressively worse. All in all, food was cold and gross. Will never return and suggest you find another place in the area.

Food has really gone downhill, guess they got new cooks. My beloved francaise was bland and too eggy. They finally fixed that fish tank though LOL.

Had the fish tacos, chicken cutlet sandwich, and french fries. Everything was cooked unbelievably well. Fish were soft and tender on the inside, while perfectly seared on the outside. Chicken cutlet was flavored with balsamic and pesto, and very ease to bite through, despite the lightly toasted ciabatta bun. Fries were perfectly crisped on the inside yet soft in the inside. Overall super impressed.

An old man bar, don’t expect much more. Sports are on the TV, the bartenders are generally nice and the food is decent given the general atmosphere of the place. My biggest gripe is with the fish tank. I want the tank to be good but it seems like they just do enough to keep the fish alive, really irks me. If it was my place, I would do some kind of local thing with just east coast fish + plants, something unique.

Went the other night with my girl friends and we started off at the bar and had a blast. Tons of fun people and bartenders were great. Drinks were made just right. My group all sat down and ate Nachos, burgers, chicken francaise, and muscles in white sauce. My friends said The burgers were great and so was everything they had. Service was good too. We plan on going back again soon.

Good food nice, competent bartenders. Absolutely have to get with the program and get a few good craft beers. More than once when deciding where to dine in town Harborside was put on the back burner because everyone in our party(or just me!) wanted decent beer

So, I’ve actually eaten here 3 times… and that was twice too many. I wanted to like this place. and, I figured that even the best restaurants have bad days. I was wrong…3 times. The food isn’t bad. it’s just not good. it’s food. under seasoned, not cooked well(they can’t cook a steak correctly to save their life), and VERY underwhelming. When I go out to spend my hard earned money on a meal, I would like it to TASTE good. If I wanted crap food, I’d go to get some fast food(at least THAT’S seasoned). And the service? Ugh… Seriously. Not good. Slow. semi-incompetent, and not«happy to greet guests»… The bar can be obnoxiously loud. but, what would you expect from a bar. Not that it needs to be said, but I’m never coming to this place again.

I frequented this establishment with some buddies after checking out Carton Brewery in town. Some amongst us we hungrier than others, which in hindsight, made for a pretty entertaining experience. The food was quite good here, but actually getting it to arrive at the table was the overwhelmingly difficult part. We even threatened to leave at one point, after waiting for over 90 minutes in a less than half-filled dining room for our second course. We read through a series of lies, ultimately concluding that the waitress just forgot to put our order in. Our guess is she was thrown off by the manliness(7 past their prime, sweaty, hungry, slightly intoxicated, dudes telling off-color jokes, unhappy that we couldn’t get the Yankee game on in favor of women’s ncaa softball). At least she was very apologetic and took care of the bill at the end. Make no bones about it, I was prepared to launch off on an epic onslaught of harshness in my Unilocal review– as I stared down at my empty plate, and up at the beefy ladies on the ESPN roping opposite field line drives. But the reality is, the food was worth all the bullcrap we encountered. The slices in our 3 bar pies were effortlessly devoured within seconds. Flavorful, crispy, and delicious. The Cajun boneless wings were bold, meaty, and rewarding. Our group had a mix of juicy burgers, moist and flavorful chicken sandwiches, pasta with sausage dishes, and I think somebody even ordered a decent looking salad if my memory serves me correct. The beer menu was decent at best, but at least the bartender kept the drinks coming. At one point, I swear they resurrected a bottle from the ice-age and put it in front of me. It tasted ok, but I’m pretty sure I brought the plague back to my family that night. Overall, a memorable experience. I’d give it another shot, solely for the location and quality of the food.

Great food and service. Love the penne vodka with chicken dish. Bartenders are awesome, along with the late night bar food menu. Decent prices.

When i first walked into the restaurant and sat down I figured the food and service would be mediocre, however I was pleasantly surprised. We started with the muscle appetizer which was extremely tasty. The pesto sauce was delicious and the muscles were not chewy at all. I then had the strip sirloin with the shrimp and was again surprised at how perfect the steak was prepared and the flavor of the vegetables with it. It was overall a great experience and will be back again!

Just had a fabulous dinner at the Harborside Grill! You have to check this place out. Its cozy, reasonably priced and the short rib ravioli are out of this world. We were lucky enough to meet Charlie our bartender who made sure our drinks and dinner were perfect. Thank you! We will be back.

I was tossing around 3 or 4 stars but it’s a solid 4 if I continue to come back for years. Cozy dining room with random things hung on the walls(still love the elephant head) and a fireplace in the winter. Wait staff is always super duper friendly, sometimes overly so. They’re always pretty attentive and have good recommendations. I haven’t had a bad meal here, ever. From the apps to the soup to dinner it is all delicious. Well priced also. Their martinis are fabulous. The lemon one is to die for. Very reasonable as well. Only complaint? Sometimes it gets noisy at the bar, which is fine, but the gap between the bar and fancier eatery is large and the volume picks up on a Saturday night in my experience. Definitely give it a shot for a reliable delicious meal!

I’ve been to this establishment twice and both times I’ve been extremely happy with the food and the service. I have a lot of strange food allergies; I can’t have gluten, lactose, citrus, black pepper, most spices, tomatoes, etc. so obviously it’s very difficult for me to order out. I often have to adjust a dish on the menu so much that servers sometimes get an attitude with me or my food comes out wrong and I have to send it back because I will get physically sick if I eat it. However both times I have eaten here my servers have taken my order with no problem and a friendly attitude, and they’ve brought out the right dish the first time. Also, the food has been delicious. Besides good service and food, the bathroom is clean and the location is fun and convenient considering there is a giant parking lot just across the street. I really enjoy this place on a nice casual night.

Can’t really give a full review because we decided not to eat here, just have a drink after the hand written on the back of a menu specials came out. I’m really not a snob but after that and the sub par reviews we decided not to give it a try. Sat at the bar didn’t notice any other patrons eating, just drinking. Our service was good, bartender was very attentive.

I used to love this place but I feel that it has gone way down hill. If you would like any proof, please glance into their fish tank. It was once absolutely gorgeous, with vibrant colored coral and a multitude of fish swimming by. Now the coral is dead, the water is murky, and 3 fish populate the entire tank. It’s depressing. This was, a long time ago, one of my favorite places to visit. Now, the bar service is absolutely terrible. Please, whatever you do, do NOT order a Long Island from this place. Literally the most heinous drink I’ve ever had the displeasure of drinking. I’m not too picky when it comes to LITs but this was honestly undrinkable. The beer options are very limited, though I will give them props for carrying Carton’s Boat Beer. Last night while we were there they did not do a last call– they just announced that the bar was closed. Admittedly, it would have been difficult for the bartender to do last call seeing as she was outside smoking cigs. I will do my best to never come back here and I would recommend that you do the same.

Went here on a Monday around 6 o’clock to find it was surprisingly dead, our party quickly found out why! Our male server was inattentive, drab, and could care less about being there. Food was decent but not great, small portions not worth the price. We asked what they had for dessert and he replied«not much»!! That was fine with me as I was ready to get out of there anyway. Do not go here, you will be sorry.

Fine place to grab a beer on a weekend night if you want to mix and mingle with local 20-somethings. I’ve never had the food, but I wouldn’t try it.

Love the look of the outside of this place very inviting. Came here to watch the football game and the staff and manager were great, friendly helpful, informative just great. For the price you pay here the food is great, never had a bad meal. I had eaten at the bar and the food is good there as well and I love how they put popcorn out for you to nibble on. I can’t wait for the weather to warm up so I can sit outside and enjoy the weather and a good meal and if you dont like Harbor side(I think you will) they have a really nice upscale wine bar with tapas, jazz music so there is something here for everyone I will be back!

Some advice, when your friends insist on going to the harbor side, keep your head on a swivel. A constant state of a pending bar fight make this place uncomfortable. On the three occasions I have been there it was a weird mix of Whisky Tango, meat heads and folks who weren’t good enough to the get into the copper canyon across the street. Never had the food, but wasn’t really tempted by the stuff I saw.
