First time customer. After reading the reviews prior to my visit I was expecting the«guy behind the bar» to be a jerk. He wasn’t friendly(never spoke to me but didn’t serve me) but he wasn’t rude. We didn’t interact despite there only being 3 tables of customers when I got there and 1 remaining when I left. My server was a young woman with purple highlights in her hair. Seemed just friendly enough and the service was average at best. My biggest disappointment was the pizza. I ordered a small pepperoni pizza and the edge crust was cooked to the point that I couldn’t bite thru it without risking dental damage. The flavor was ok but I know 100 better locals for pizza. After asking co-workers about the place, I’ve been told they do better at wings and sandwiches & have busy dinner crowd. I will most likely not return as nothing there was incentive to go back. –Disappointed

My family went here based on Unilocal reviews, and it did not disappoint. We didn’t call ahead for a reservation but only had a 20 minute wait for a table on a Saturday night– not bad. I started my meal off with the arugula salad which was light and flavorful. The margherita pizza was one of the best pizzas I’ve had in my life. The house made chili oil was great. My sister had the friend gnocchi which were good too– I’ve never had them friend. I would absolutely visit this restaurant this again.

GREAT Atmosphere, excellent thin crust pizza with a huge craft beer selection. This is the mold for small hole in the wall food joints. Never too crowded, always easy to strike up a conversation at the bar with a friendly opinionated local. Have yet to experience a bad lunch special with weekly visits.

Best craft beer in the area! Almost as good as the pizza! And they support our neighborhood park! #parktoberfestatl

As a business owner/investor I’m very reluctant to leave bad reviews. I believe a slight inconvenience or not so good experience may not fully represent the company’s attributes and services but after my recent experience @ Westside Pizza I felt obligated to myself to inform others. I’ve been in the Atlanta area for almost 15 years and have eaten at 100’s of restaurants and have frequented just as many more business and have never felt so embarrassed and belittled in my entire life. I drive a F250 v10 long bed truck and could barely fit into the tiny spaces in the parking lot so I double park to keep from blocking other customer cars. As I sit down John Miller the General Manager proceeds to yell at me from behind the bar and across the restaurant to move my truck. At first I didnt even know why he was yelling at me, then I tried to explain that my truck would block other people. He begain to get more force full with me and said«he didnt care and go move my truck now!!» Everybody was staring at me in the restaurant. I’ve never been embarrassed and belittle by a business in front of a full room of people before!!! It took almost 45 minutes for my nerves to calm I was so traumatized! My experience was so awfull I’m freely dedicating part of my life to spread my story about Westside Pizza!!!

I have been to Westside multiple times. The food is great. Better than I would have expected, especially from the way it looks on the outside. However the service is just ok. The man behind the bar(which I have heard is the owner) is very rude. He never greets you, he processes to-go orders and never says a word to the customers(I also purchase to-go orders occasionally). He always seems to be in a bad mood and regardless of what he may be going through he should not be rude to his paying and loyal customers. I think I will stop ordering from here solely due to the rude guy.

It doesn’t look like much from the outside(or even inside, honestly) but if you care about food more than décor, you’ll be very happy with Westside. Really good thin-crust pizzas and our favorite wings in Atlanta. They also have good sandwiches and salads and appetizers/sides. They usually have several good local beers on tap and a full bar. They have a bunch of TVs making it a fun place to go on game day, if you don’t mind hearing the bartender yell at his fantasy-league players.

Smelled great as soon as we walked in. Our server was very good. We had the garlic cheese bread to start which was very standard, nothing special. We each tried to order a slice of pizza and were told that stops at 5pm. Didn’t say that anywhere on the menu. We reluctantly decided to split a small pizza. We got the jerk chicken. It was pretty awful. Way too much Rosemary, it overpowered the other flavors. I ate my half because I was starving, my friend barely touched her first piece. They did give us 50% off after asking why she didn’t eat any or want a box. We definitely weren’t planning to complain or ask for anything off. I did appreciate the lady even noticed there was an issue and that she wanted to do anything about it. For us the food was 2 stars and service was 5. Unfortunately I don’t go anywhere because of the service so I had to give this 2 stars.

Heard about this place, but never got the chance to try it out. I got the dry rub Jamaican Jerk chicken wings… They were fantastic. I couldn’t stop talking about them lol

Just took a chance and was pleasantly surprised. The pizza is great and lasagna was good! Garlic bread was just ok. Maybe it could use some cheese. I’ll be back.

Great pizza and small brewery craft beers. We had the Greek Chicken white pizza and it was amazing. I also had the Green Man ESB beer on tap from Asheville, NC and it is now one of my favorites! We will definitely be back.

Courtney was great. Good trivia on Tuesday. Highly recommend stopping by for some good beer and food. I was looking for a good IPA, and Courtney recommended a rare keg from Red Brick that did not disappoint.

I have been here multiple times over the three years that I have lived nearby. Our group comes here at least once a month after our neighborhood association meetings and have never had a bad experience other than service is a little slow sometimes because they only have one person at the bar and one other server. They always have a very nice selection of on-tap beers, the pizza is very good, and I would highly recommend the blackeded chicken ceasar salad.

Ok, so I kind of cheated going here for my first time. I went with a friend that is a regular, so we were welcomed by everyone at the bar and the service was attentive. They have great beer selections on draught so I was automatically a fan. We ordered a large pizza with«the works»…it came out hot and fully cooked. The crust is on the thinner side and the veggie toppings are diced and the meat toppings are more then likely cooked in the AM and then stored for use throughout the day… The pizza was tasty, nothing amazing, but far from the crappy reviews that others have left. It’s cooked in one of those conveyor oven things, not in a brick oven… so if you really like that style pizza, then don’t eat the pizza… eat something else. As for the other food, its standard bar food/Italian food. No one got sick and everyone cleaned their plates that came in, so really the place can’t be THAT bad. I would go back again, if I was in the area, but its 40 minutes from my place, so I don’t see myself making the drive if I was just in the mood for pizza one evening.

This is my trivia spot. Trivia Dude/Gary always keeps the crowd going strong and the food is very good for a pizza joint(née Café Italiano). There are prizes for first, second and third place that are good toward a future visit in the next 30 or 45 days. The team names here are some of the better ones I’ve heard(«I wish this microphone was a penis» aren’t regulars but it’s fun when they show up). The area is getting ready for a rejuvenation and hopefully Westside will benefit from the local area improvements. This place is great for a few beers, better than good pizza, bar food and a fun atmosphere. It’s got a decidedly neighborhood vibe with regulars at the bar and Jonathan slinging drinks. There’s a special every night of the week and the weekends are great for football or late afternoon lunch and beers. There is a decent selection of draft beers and flights for beer snobs but I stick to the $ 2PBR and the occasional Jäger shot. It’s not exactly on the way to anything but worth the drive if you’re in west midtown or far southwest Buckhead. There’s outdoor seating for you smokers or the frequent doggie patrons. Parking isn’t the greatest on busy nights but you can park in the carwash next door if you enjoy dentless body parts. If Westside was a girl I wouldn’t marry her but I would enjoy being inside her once a week.
