well i went in there today, now i like my sub with lots of olives, and guess what, guy behind the counter told me they only put 6 olives in foot long, it’s subway rule, now i might have heard him wrong so i asked again, 6 olives??? yes only 6 olives, are you kidding me, no problem i asked for light oil and light mayo, and guess what he put like 5 strips of mayo across the sub and kept on going with oil, i had to tell him to stop, not to mention amount of salt he put in there. last time i go in there to get subway.

With thousands of locations in the U.S. and around the world, you’d think Subway would be more consistent across the board, but it’s not. They’re at a disadvantage when compared to fast food chains like McDonald’s or KFC, who can fall back on cooking(frying) their food. Subway has to take relatively more care of their ingredients — a variety of breads, cold meats, and raw veggies — that must be kept fresh. That is where the Subway on Howell Mill fails. I ordered a footlong Cold Cut Combo(ham, salami, bologna) with pepper jack cheese and a little bit of everything(lettuce, tomato, black olives, cucumber, jalapenos, banana peppers, red onions, pickles) on toasted 9-grain honey oat. It was so unappetizing, I almost thought about stopping a quarter of the way in(and I was starving). One of the veggies, I think it was cucumber, tasted like fish. Blech. I had to force some bites down. It was not a good sandwich. Howell Mill Subway is located inside the Kroger shopping center next to El Amigo. This place used to have two ordering lines, but consolidated down to one years ago. You can still see where the other ordering line used to exist. This Subway has a pretty drab appearance, inside and out. The only thing going for it is it’s competent workforce.

Yes, one star, because I definitely think not. However, this location is near work so I’ve been here for lunch. See, the thing is, I always end up with ‘issues’ after eating here so something isn’t right. Once? Ok. Maybe. Twice? Wait, three times? Yeah, something is definitely wrong. My stomach cannot handle it. I don’t know if it’s the food or the lack of cleanliness? But never again. I have been to another Subway location and not had the shits. One star for a five star shitfest. Thanks.

Today, I learned that this Subway is open on Thanksgiving Day. Just an FYI, I guess. This is the go-to location for the $ 5 foot long when you’re grocery shopping next door. As with all other franchises, the quality of this Subway is similar to the quality of all the other Subways in the universe, so I just need to comment on their breakfast. $ 2 will get you an egg and cheese omelet sandwich — you pick either white or yellow egg(premade), and then they heat it up with some cheese. My stomach was in a terrible condition because I had showcased my beer drinking skills the night before and had woken up extra early to go to a workout.(crazy!). I just wanted something hot and breakfast-y to coat my stomach lining… usually Subway would not be on my go-to list for breakfast, but this place served me well.

So if you guys are totally in the mood for a case of the late night trots, and vomitting, I suggest that you eat at this location. I totally got sick after having lunch there! I should have taken the over flowing toilet in the men’s room as a sign. This location is sick, and not in a cool way. Its like totally decaying, rancid, maggot-filled squirrel on the side of the road sick!- I haven’t been back since.
