Lucky’s is great place. We go every Wednesday for trivia night. The food is always good whether its one of their many burger choices or something else off the menu. The best part about Lucky’s are the bartenders. Cindy and Darianna work as hard as anyone to keep their customers happy and they always have a smile on no matter how packed the place gets.

Love this place. Good burgers, great sweet potato fries. Dog friendly. Lots of Tvs. Indoor and outdoor seating. Good bartenders. What’s not to like?

You can find Lucky’s Burger & Brew at 305 Brookhaven Avenue Suite 1250, Atlanta, GA30319 at the base of the building across from Costco in Town Brookhaven to the right of LA Fitness. There’s limited parking out front but I’ve found it easier to park at Costco and walk across the street unless you are very lucky(heh). I discovered Lucky’s quite by accident while in the area one evening shopping at Costco. I’ve since eaten here twice and both times had an awesome meal with great service. Lucky’s Burger & Brew is a small local chain with locations in Decatur, in Brookhaven and the original location in Roswell — I haven’t eaten at the other locations, but from what I read from the menu and at the Brookhaven location, the restaurants get their name from«Lucky» the owner’s dog — and at Roswell location is pet friendly(not sure about this location but presumably you can bring your dog and sit on the patio). Lucky’s if fairly easy to locate, especially at night by the white lettering above the glass and stacked stone façade — during the day look for the red awning. Outside there’s usually a menu board and this evening featured drafts of Creature Comforts — this alone sold me on the restaurant. The restaurant has a friendly interior with corrugated sheet metal wrapping the bar(so a bit of an industrial look) with a picture of Lucky on the wall to one side. TVs are suspended above the bar and there are both short tables in the main dining area and tall tables along the window. Both times I visited we were immediately seated and provided menus and a drink order was quick to the table — my selection was of course the very delicious Creature Comforts Tropicalia. Lucky’s straddles that line between the gourmet burger(think Flip) and the yummy everything goes burger(think Grindhouse) where you still order at the table and good a good quality burger, but you’re not paying an arm-and-a-leg for the service. They also have an awesome beer menu with many fine local craft beers represented. The dinner menu boasts Starters, Salads, Wings, Soup(SOD plus chili), Burgers, «Different Breeds»(chicken, turkey and fish sandwich options), Sides and Desserts. There’s also«The Grim Reaper» at $ 40 for 4 Challengers or $ 10 for each additional that includes: 4 lb Burger patty, 8 slices American cheese, 12 strips Applewood smoked bacon, 7 fried eggs, mound of onion rings and mayo served on a challah bun, however they need a 24 hour advance notice if you want this behemoth. I’d like to get together a group and give it a whirl — let me know if you want to give it a go. We started with a side of very good fried pickles — these were served with Ranch Dressing. They could have used a bit more kick — I’d recommend something spicier if they have it, but for us the creamy ranch worked well with the slightly salty and hot vinegary pickles so yes, if you like fried pickles these are a good option. After a very short wait the burgers arrived at the table(as did a second pint of Tropicalia). My friend Arvind went with a basic double cheeseburger(the Double Stacker) with a side of fries. I went with the Chihuahua(many of the burgers have dog-themes) — topped with chopped green chilies, pepper jack cheese, chipotle mayo and guacamole. It was delicious — I do wish it had a bit more heat, perhaps some jalapenos(I’ll order a side the next time). I twas also cooked a perfect medium rare, which is my preference. I also had the fries. Overall service was awesome and fast and the manager came by to make sure we were doing OK. Both times I’ve eaten here I had an great experience. (also posted to my food blog)

Umm there wasn’t anything special about this place. It satisfied my belly but my taste buds weren’t impressed. It’s just average.

Kinda bummed I got to downgrade Lucky’s, but I felt like I experienced a «bait and switch» there recently. I normally build a burger here. Traditional: 7 ounce beef patty, lettuce, tomato, pickle, raw onion, bacon, and American cheese. And usually it’s freaking awesome. Fresh and juicy. The beer is cold and the service is always top notch from the bartenders. I decided to change it up and went with the German Shepard: triple cambozola and bacon jam – and then I added grilled onions and mushrooms. The plan was to throw a little steak sauce on it too. Yum right? The burger comes out and it’s the thinnest, most pre-formed frozen patty I’ve ever seen there. If it was 7 oz. pre-cooked, I’m the Queen of England. And I’ve never felt that Lucky’s patty’s were A.) thin B.) pre-formed C.) formerly frozen. S.O. got the Double Stack and clearly they were hand pressed(and clearly both 4 oz. beef). I have gotten the Lamb Burger(Greek Hare Hound) and it’s never looked pre-formed. So I’m not sure why I ended up getting the thin little McDonald’s .99 cent patty. Bummer. My assumption is(and I really hope I’m wrong) is that because bacon jam and cambozola are expensive ingredients, they may decide to stick you with a smaller patty for the German Shepard. I hope this isn’t the case, because that would keep us from coming back. The burger tasted good, but after 5 or 6 trips there, I know what to expect and the level of quality of their burgers and this felt like a little bit of a ripoff.

Black bean burger is great without all the added toppings. The patty tends to break apart fairly easily, but it’s still fulfilling and tasty… just a bit sloppy to consume. Extra lettuce and tomatoes and you’ve got yourself a happy vegetarian.

This is a nice local spot. They have great burgers and sandwiches. I’m a sucker for their French Poodle Chicken, but then again, I’m a sucker for any sandwich with Brie. Their regular fries and parmesan parsley fries aren’t anything to write home about. But they have sweet potato fries that are delish, and make sure you get the«soon to be famous blue cheese sauce.» I’m not a big blue cheese fan, but it’s super good with the sweet potato fries. I love their dog friendly patio. They’ve done a nice job of closing it off from the sidewalk and making it feel more like a room than a sidewalk. If you do bring your pup, they have dog bowls and a hose to be able to fill water bowls as needed. The one thing that keeps me from giving them 5 stars is their lack of drink and appetizer specials. It’s a good happy hour spot, but it lacks the daily specials that make me feel like I’m getting a deal. All in all, a great spot to have a drink and burger on the patio.

Not impressed. Our server was scatterbrained and seemed too busy. I am usually one to let this pass, but it was the final straw when he told me he was too busy to get the manager. My food(burger) was way undercooked. To the point I could not eat it. The server did not even apologize or offer me another burger or even say he was sorry. Never once came around to check during the meal. Two stars as the beer was good but pbr should not be a draft choice … Will not return.

My husband and I were in the area running errands bringing along our dog since it was such a beautiful day. We were both hoping to find a restaurant where it was dog friendly. We stumbled upon this restaurant and if you want to dine with your dog, this place is very accommodating. Since it’s not quite warm enough yet, they still have patio enclosures on. We felt a bit crammed in there, and from what we saw, there was only one way in/out(I could be wrong), and just like some people don’t necessarily like each other, dogs can be the same way. On a positive note, they brought out a bowl of water for our dog and were very friendly with all of the animals. Service and Food: Our server was friendly, attentive and unobtrusive. We ordered chili tator tots as an appetizer, but we didn’t find anything special about it. We found them to be lukewarm when they came out and the chili and cheese seemed like it had begun to harden. My husband ordered the Undertaker Burger which was cheese, bacon, fried, egg and fried onion straws with a side of the parmesan fries. He said he was satisfied and it did the job, but he thought the fries were undercooked(I agreed.) I ordered the Boxer which was Boursin cheese(I like to describe it as herby, garlicky, spreadable soft cheese), caramelized onions and dijon mustard and a side of onion rings. I enjoyed my burger and didn’t have any complaints. I didn’t really eat any of the onion rings. I think they may have been a cornmeal batter and the breading was very light. However, I’m super picky about onion rings and I only like them a certain way. Overall, I like how dog friendly it is, even though we felt a bit crammed on the patio. The meal satisfied me, did the job and service was friendly and attentive.

I get takeout from here every other week or so. It’s always cooked impeccably, but I’ve had mixed results on the bottom bun being super soggy by the time I get to it. Protip: be sure to get your fries extra crispy. They have a bad habit of under-frying them otherwise

Lucky’s is my new favorite«badass burgers» spot. The burgers are the best I have come across in a very long time. The Undertaker, Memphis Blood Hound, and the XOLO(taco) burgers are all top notch. They are massive(7 oz beef) and perfectly prepared every time. The sweet potato fries, onion rings and fried pickles are all great. Their white BBQ sauce and Spicy Mango BBQ sauces are worth trying. They have Strongbow so I can have the drink I want instead of putting up with an Angry Orchard. The environment is clean and welcoming. The people are friendly and knowledgeable. It’s not very crowded on any occasion that I’ve been there. Definitely my new favorite«burger and chill» spot. I’ve dropped over $ 200 in there in the last two weeks because the burgers are great, environment is chill, and the beer is on the cheaper side. Oh yeah, you can bring your pup if you have one. PS: If you order delivery, have them put the bun in a separate container or end up with an insanely soggy bun.

I really like this little burger joint in our new neighborhood. There are some wonderful things on the menu. I can highly recommend the Bloody Mary, the Pimento Cheese Bites, the Georgia Dawg Pounder, and the Berga Masco. I have also had some misses; The Xolo(aka Taco Burger) was almost flavorless and I had the worst Spicy Margarita of ever at Lucky’s. Consistency is key for me; there are some very good items, but it is definitely a hit or miss type of menu. Trivia night is a blast and I have always had friendly servers at this restaurant, so I will definitely be back.

I was here yesterday because my brother wanted to purposely ruin his diet. This was actually the perfect place to do it. Lil bro order a blood hound with fries and an extra side of onion rings. I ordered fried pickles. that was all. and my fiancé ordered the lucky seven burger. It’s a 4 oz with a side of fries and a fountain drink for an extra dollar. The service was alright. no one was too excited or smiling. Our server was unenthusiastic. He forgot about one of our drinks. I asked about the desserts there to see if they were made in house and he said no. So i passed on that. All in all, I think the concept of the restaurant is cool. It says you can bring your puppy there. I didn’t see any puppies at all while I was there. But the food was basic. It’s just unique in bringing your pet here.

Full disclosure – this would probably have been better had I eaten my burger in the restaurant and not done takeout. As is, this was pretty average. Got the Memphis Blood Hound with fries and a root beer. Although I eat cheeseburgers 2 – 3 times per week, there’s nothing about this burger(and definitely nothing about the fries) that would drive me to eat here a second time. However, I have to admit that the women working the bar and takeout counter were all very nice and grabbed my order lickety-split.

I love the dog friendly patio! They supply water dishes throughout the patio. The restaurant’s décor is really cute. There are photos of Lucky, the owners dog on the walls and the menu is very creative We ordered some burgers and they were delicious! Great place to go for a burger and chill out with your pooches.

Lucky’s burger in Brookhaven is wonderful. Oddly enough, I didn’t care for the food served at the Roswell location so I was hesitant to try the one in Brookhaven and I am glad I did because this is now a monthly burger stop. I am a huge fan of their dog friendly patio. The patio has plenty of water bowls for your fur baby and they don’t mind if they sit at the table. Lucky’s has a $ 8 burger lunch deal. All of the burgers, including specialty burgers, are $ 8 during lunch and that includes a drink. You can’t beat that! Lucky’s is named after the owners dog so all of the burgers have fun dog themed names. They even serve a 4 ounce«dog friendly» burger that comes without a bun. My dog, Tybee, loves it! I always stick with the Memphis blood hound. 6 ounce burger with red onions, bbq sauce, cheddar cheese and candy bacon… I repeat, candy bacon! Throw in a side of tots with ranch dressing and I am a happy girl!

Me want club sandwich. Me randomly pick Lucky’s. Me met May, who’s awesome as your server/bartender. So happy me did. Still in process of trying all(read:most) of the eating est in TB, I wanted something casual today;and I did have a specific craving for a club sandwich. Theirs is turkey, bacon, tom, lettuce, Swiss, mayo, all decked out in those lovely multiple layers of toasted bread. Huge. I ate half at lunch, and just ate the other before I walk into work at 5p. Delicious fries, too– thin and just crispy and salty enough– and while I got the regular version, I bet their parm tossed are good, too. Build your basic burger. Or go with one of the tasty-sounding ones on the menu. You can switch out any beef for turkey or fried ch9cken, no charge. Several sandwiches besides the club, including a turkey reuben with mozz and onion and a fried chicken that sounds like a monster, in a good way. Lots of side choices, including tots, sweet pot fries and more. V friendly staff and pleasantly casual environment. Super fam friendly on the weekend. Dogs allowed on the(nice) patio. When I don’t want salad, gyro, or sushi, this will be my sandwich /burger place.

Dog friendly burger restaurant – I’m in! The deck is the perfect spot to enjoy a burger while your pooch enjoys meeting new friends and probably begging for a bite of your tasty Chihuahua or Bloodhound… burger that it. I love that the burgers are all named after a specific breed of dog, but what matters most is that the burgers are really tasty! The owner came over and introduced himself and pointed out the photos of his dog, Lucky, the inspiration for the restaurant. Don’t worry, there’s more than just burgers on the menu, but I have to admit, I usually come for the burgers. A great spot to watch sports, grab a beer, or spend quality time with your pup.
