I’ve dined at Flemings once about year ago and I really enjoyed it. I would probably be a regular due to their happy hour menu if it wasn’t so far. This time I returned for Dunwoody Restaurant Week. I ordered the petite filet Mignon as my main dish, the Flemings salad as my appetizer, the carrot cake for my dessert, and the Rioja wine flight. My steak was pretty good. However, it wasn’t as tender as I’d like and a tad bit overcooked(medium well instead of medium plus) The mashed potatoes and green beans were my sides and were ok. The Rioja wine flight was great but the carrot cake always steals the show! Flemings has the best carrot cake I’ve ever had in life! HANDSDOWN! I don’t know if it’s the delicious icing, the yummy whip cream, the moisture of the cake, or the pineapples in the cake(yes pineapples OMG) but it is absolutely amazing! Service was good at the bar. Drew was my server as well as the bartender and he was pretty attentive and was able to answer the questions that I had about the menu. I will definitely be back to explore more of the happy hour items!

Made reservations here for our 23rd Anniversary. Upon being seated we immediately asked to be moved due to extreme loudness in dining area. We were then seated 10 ft. away next to kitchen. We now had noise from dining as well as kitchen and servers at register. Not much better but we were told they had nothing else. We has 2 different chairs. My Husband against a divide wall and I was placed in the walk path of servers who had at one point bumped me with no regard. After viewing the menu we chose the Flemings 3 course dinner Special. We also ordered calamari as well as poached buttered lobster atop my Filet. We were brought out bread w/two butter spreads. The bread was small like a hoagie roll shape sliced up. it was Rock hard. I like crust but you could hammer with this. No bread should leave cuts in your mouth 6 days later. Out came our Calamari which was covered with sweet chili sauce and peppers. it was very good. Not offered with Marinara but a nice change from it. Next came our French onion soups. It came in a square bowl and wasn’t brown or bubbly as you’d expect. The cheese had sunken due to lack of bread? As we began eating we couldn’t get over how strong the beef base was to the point of tasting sour, and how salty. It was so strong it was inedible. The cheese had no taste either. We pushed both bowls away. Our server told his manager who then came over. I told her it was the worst I’ve ever had. I told her to taste it but she would not. She then tried to correct the problem and offered to take our deserts we had already ordered home and give us Lava cake at the end of our meals. We said it wasn’t necessary but she insisted and we finally accepted. Next came our dinners. The Filets were cooked right, 1 rare 1 med. Unfortunately, The salt and pepper was so over bearing it ruined the taste of the meat. I was actually wiping my meat on my plate to remove it and had a difficult time eating it. My husband had the same issue. The Flemings signature scalloped potato’s were under cooked and very bland with no taste. Tasting only of potato and Rue to hold them together. The mashed truffle butter potato’s simply tasted like butter mashed potato’s. The green beans were so under steamed and raw, that the side string could be pulled out during biting. The added Lobster was very tasty and left me wanting more than a few bites compared to the rest of the meal we had been served. While waiting my Husband told me to look in the kitchen area. We couldn’t believe how young the Chefs/Cooks were here. Maybe the issue was with Lack of experience? Maybe someone needs to actually taste what’s going out. The Manager came over and asked how our meal was again. Without further insult of our unpleasant experience we said it was fine. I know she wanted us to be happy but you can’t change something with this much complaint. We were then were served a plate on the table with Lava cake. Yes we were now expected to eat off the same plate at this upscale Restaurant for Desert.(But after all she did say«A» Lava cake). I for one will not eat off another’s plate. My Husband then took his bread plate to share knowing this. It was beautiful visually but the chocolate was very bitter unless mixed with the side of ice cream to cut through it. If there’s one thing I know its chocolate. Being a Baker by trade and owning a Candy business. It was so disappointing that desert discussion was based on what a disappointment Fleming’s was and how we drove 50 minutes one way for this. Conclusion. We were not at all Happy here. We are not wine drinkers and came only for the food. Such a waste. This experience Drinking water with your meal will cost you $ 135+$ 25 tip for our server who was very attentive. + $ 5 Valet

Last night was the second time in two years we’ve gone to Fleming’s; and their steaks are still chewy and taste like SAWDUST. It’s really hard to understand how a STEAKHOUSE can cook a filet perfectly medium rare, and the texture can still remind one of eating rubbery sawdust. TERRIBLE steaks. AGAIN. The sides are extremely good. We ordered the sauteed mushrooms and Thai Green beans. The prices, however, are exorbitant. The sides are not particularly large — enough for two people to share — and at $ 12-$ 13 are way over-priced. And their wine list? DONOTFALLFORTHEHYPE. They have an iPad with a very nice list of 100 wines-by-the-glass. The problem is that they are totally ripping you off. A glass of Rodney Strong Cabernet — for which we pay about $ 17 per bottle at the liquor store — costs $ 25 at Flemings. THATISFORONEGLASS! The service was … Engh… OK… On a Sunday night — with only 5 tables seated(including ours) in the restaurant — we waited 30 minutes for our appetizer to arrive. We figured that they were punishing us for not ordering wine. and then… when we were half-way through our appetizers, the waiter brought our salads — plopping them down next to our appetizer plates. Couldn’t they have waited 10 minutes — until we’d finished our apps — before bringing our salads? And here is the real kicker about this place… THEYAREDISHONEST. The ONLY reason my wife and I went to Fleming’s(again) — after remembering the Sawdust steaks last time — was that I have been receiving SPAM emails from them all week about these really GREAT deal DUOS — including Filet & Lobster tail for $ 45 and Prime Rib full course meal for $ 29. When we arrived at the restaurant, there were no signs of any«DUOSPECIALS.» No mention of them on the menu, and the server did not offer them. When I asked the waitress the price for the(tiny 12 ounce) Prime Rib, she told me «$ 42.» When I returned home, I decided to check my emails to figure out«WHYTHEHELLDIDWEGOTOTHISCRAPPYSTEAKHOUSEAGAIN???» And sure enough… There was the fancy«SLAMDUNK» SPAM email with beautiful pictures and all the hype that Fleming’s had sent to me on March 22 shouting out«For 2 weeks only, enjoy… prime rib dinner for only $ 29.95.» and…by the way… we are FOODIES. going out to fine restaurants — such as Little Alley(best steaks in ALLOFATLANTA), The Oak, Sotto Sotto, The Optimist, Bachanalia, One41 — to name just a handful of our many favorites — at least once per week… so…Consider trusting(or not) my opinion on the matter… So…in summary… Fleming’s steaks suck, and they are not very honest. Two primary reasons why i have consequently added the domain @communications.flemingsteakhouse.com to my SPAM system blacklist; lest they prey again on my poor memory in another year — after I have forgotten(again) why we do NOT choose to go to this restaurant.

I’ve dined at the Fleming’s, Charlotte and Nashville location and now the Atlanta location. I’ve never had a bad experience at any Fleming’s. The service and the prime steaks are excellent.

My wife and I had a wonderful time here on Easter for brunch. Our server, Nari, did an excellent job. My wife ordered steak and lobster, and I ordered a steak with spinach as a side. Our drinks were refilled promptly, and we enjoyed our conversation with the manager, Jerry, who made us feel at home. Our meat was served perfectly. Mine was 12 oz, and they brought us beautiful to go boxes and a Flemings bag! — I have already had for lunch the next day. This is a great place for a diabetic like me because in addition to the proteins they have a wonderful fresh berry dessert. We highly recommend and come here often. It is a more youthful, less stuffy environment than Capital Grille at a slightly lower price point.

I had the filet mignon but not much flavor to it. The crust was tough. Atmosphere and service were excellent.

Celebrated my birthday at Fleming’s for dinner on a Saturday night. We had a reservation and were quickly seated. There were a few large parties so we were worried it would be really noisy but it was not bad. I love their open kitchen. Enjoy watching the chef and his team in action. Our server was really good. He answered our food questions and made two excellent wine pairing suggestions. Food was delicious. Great atmosphere.

This is place is amazing in every way. The manager Jerry Sinatra was out on the floor helping his staff on a busy night and even made it a point to talk to everyone. Jerry also made my sisters birthday dinner really special by brining her a card signed by everyone. The waitress seemed like she had too many tables but never once failed to get what we need. The food is impeccable. You can’t go wrong with anything you order. Great great great place.

Get ready for the best dining experience of your life! The staff is very nice and attentive, and the attention to detail(like asking if you prefer white or dark linen) really sets this place apart. I ordered a fillet mignon and while it wasn’t the most tender I’ve had, it was still very flavorful and delicious. My boyfriend had the aged ribeye and it was the best steak he’s ever had. We topped them with shrimp and lobster, got a cocktail each and shared the lava cake for desert. Our bill came to $ 200 so it’s definitely not cheap but worth the experience if you want to indulge. Oh. And the lava cake? Heavenly! We were pretty full from the steaks but wanted to try the cake after reading all the review and it did not disappoint. Make sure you save room for dessert!

My fiancé and I have been to this Flemings about 5 or 6 times together in the last 18 months. We have done happy hour at the bar, and we have done the full dining room experience. We have been extremely pleased on every visit. The food is exceptional and the service is very pleasant and attentive. Is it the best premium steakhouse in Atlanta? No. But bang for your buck it is wonderful. They don’t even charge a corkage fee if you bring in your own bottle. Of course we tip extra when we do that. Don’t skip the lava cake for dessert.

I’ve visited this location several times, and I must say that it is often a hit or miss with me unfortunately. The service is always A+, however the steaks are a hit or miss. This visit I ordered a petite filet and a lobster tail for my main course. I had a scallop for my first course and a wedge salad. The scallop was a hit. I would rate it a 10 on a scale of 1 – 10. My filet, however, although requested medium, came out medium well and seemed to be slightly lacking in flavor. Rating — 7. The lobster tail, on the other hand was cooked perfectly this time and seasoned very well. Rating-9. I was initially hesitant to order a lobster tail because my last experience here ordering a lobster tail went terribly wrong. It completely lacked any seasoning or flavor. They actually got it right this time. My wedge salad was overall good. Rating-8. Although Flemings doesn’t serve up the best steak in Atlanta, overall the food and ambiance of this restaurant is good. They have a great wine list and excellent service.

So my girlfriend and I do at least 1 new restaurant a month and we picked Fleming’s. Our waitress was very nice but I think she had more tables then she could handle, she was running around like a mad woman. Anyway she finally got it together. The cheese butter and wine flavored butter they give you for the bread is awesome! I ordered the NY strip special which was topped with a spicy shrimp and she had the pork chop. When I tell you the first bite of my steak was like pure heaven, they know what they are doing! I’ve been to Ruth Chris and Morton’s but by far this was the best cooked steak I have had from all 3. I was very happy with dinner and I talked about that steak for 2 more days, I was about to get another to go lol. I will be returning soon for another dining experience for sure! Some people cry about the prices, look if you got to look over the prices and be in shock you don’t need to eat out or get that Applebee’s 2 for 20.

This location of Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse can be found in Perimeter Place, the large complex anchored by Target at the corner of Perimeter Center West and Perimeter Center Pky, near the Perimeter and Perimeter Mall which is at the top end perimeter… wait I don’t think I’ve mentioned that this is at the perimeter? Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse is part of Bloomin’ Brands, the same group or restaurants that also include Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba’s Italian Grill and Bonefish Grill. Of course all four are represented in the Perimeter Place shopping center with Fleming’s being the flagship restaurant(it certainly has the highest priced menu of the four). The restaurant has a high-end, old-school feel to it with cloth tablecloths and napkins and plenty of staff running around with the same high-end appearance. Unfortunately, the restaurant falls a bit flat to me when compared to the other nearby restaurant with which it competes. When you enter the restaurant there’s some type of smell associated with red meat that I found disconcerting, sort of a metallic scent in the air. I’ve eaten at the restaurant a handful of times and this same smell has assaulted me each time and frankly I thought not to return. My most recent visit was due to a training and sales seminar that I attended where the subject matter was interesting enough to overcome my hesitation of returning, well that and the lunch was free(which I’ve found can overcome a lot!). The service in general was quite good and the food, including my steak, was excellent. The seminar itself was a bit boring and included too many topics for my mind to absorb readily so other than the free lunch the experience was a bit of wash. And now for the rub — I’d much rather go down the street to Capital Grille when I’m in the mood for fine dining, or to McKendrick’s Steak House if I want a fine quality steak when I’m so inclined. If I’m looking for a more value-priced steak, I’d rather go to the sister-company Outback Steakhouse which is within walking distance as it seems to be more reasonably priced. My company provides Bloomin’ Brands gift cards every Holiday season, I’m not sure if it’s the smell of this place or something else, but I’d rather use the card at Outback instead of Fleming’s. I’m probably just too cheap to really get this place, preferring a nice sushi dinner for the money. (longer review posted to my food blog)

Great after work business crowd enjoying a nice meal and a few cocktails. The food is always great and Fleming’s is great for an intimate dinner, fun happy hour, large group dinners and everything in between. It’s a place that I can go enjoy a dinner after work on my own and always enjoy meeting great people sitting at the bar having dinner and drinks.

I was in one of my food craving stages but this time it was for steak. So I decided to come here after work one day for dinner since I had heard great things about Fleming’s. The girlfriend and I drove separately so we opted out of the valet parking service they offered and there was ample parking around since it was before 6 still. The restaurant itself is quite elegant, basically what you would expect from a high-end steakhouse. We were immediately seated and given choices for water. Then they brought out bread with 2 different spreads. One was a tomato basil one and the other was gorgonzola based and creamier. They both were nice but I preferred the tomato basil spread. So, they had a few multi-courses specials going on so she chose to do that while I took the old-fashioned route. I started off with the scallops as an appetizer and they were cooked very nicely while she chose a salad that had a variety of ingredients. For our entrees, I ordered a dry-aged ribeye(18oz?) since I was pretty hungry and hers included a filet mignon that was nicely sized(10oz?). She had ordered her filet medium but it unfortunately came out medium-well so they had to take back her plate and make her a new one. That was a little frustrating considering Fleming’s is a high-end steakhouse and they should know how to properly cook their steaks. For our sides, we chose the Fleming’s potatoes and the mac and cheese which were both fantastic but pretty rich so we couldn’t eat all of it. Our bread and water were refilled without hesitation so that was nice and soon her new filet was brought out and cooked right this time. The restaurant manager came and talked to us immediately following the new dish to apologize about the service. He mentioned he would give us a discount or something, I wasn’t able to hear him completely. For dessert, I got the chocolate lava cake and it was amazing. One of the best molten cakes I have had so that was a nice ending. She got the crème brulee that came with here meal and it was just normal. When our check came out, to our surprise, her whole meal had been taken off so that was an incredible gesture by the manager. It put the exclamation mark on the excellent service we had received all dinner long. Overall, the food and service was superb and I wouldn’t hesitate to come back for another visit at Fleming’s despite the small mishap.

They have the best happy hour in Dunwoody! If you’re near the Perimeter area and looking for a great happy hour, look no further than Fleming’s. Every day from 5 to 7 p.m.(including weekends) this joint has an amazing happy hour menu — 5 selections for $ 6 each until 7 p.m. That’s 5 different cocktails, 5 wine options, 5 appetizer specials, plus a discounted burger special with fries. There was also a seasonal Blue Moon special for $ 6 for 2 drafts. We each had 2 glasses of wine(they poured with a heavy hand) then shared the ravioli, flatbread, and calamari. Mr. P. had the burger too, and I noshed on his fries. In total(with tax and tip) it was about $ 45 for a ton of food and awesome wine. It was a great early bird date night. Service was also top notch. Our bartenders, Matt and Chris, showed us true Southern hospitality. There’s also another«late night» happy hour menu with 8 selections for $ 9 each until 10 p.m. That menu looked pretty great too so we might have to check that one out next time.

I’ve been here three times now and it was always for the same thing — the chocolate lava cake. Mmmmm In a search for the best lava cake in Atlanta, we consulted Google and we were not disappointed! Everything at Fleming’s is made to order. The lava cake takes a little while to cook but it’s worth the wait. It comes out hot with oozing chocolatey goodness, a side of pistachio ice cream, fresh raspberries, and homemade whipped cream. Add a glass of wine and it’s the perfect dessert. The service is also excellent. Unfortunately one of the times we went, the lava cake had a bit too much salt. When we asked the waiter about it, he was very apologetic and took it off our check. They take pride in what they serve and if the customers are not 100% satisfied, they’ll make sure they leave happy! It’s a bit of a drive for us to go there but we will definitely be back again … and again … and again!

Sticker shock alert. lolz. This place is definitely reserved for those very special moments, or if you are rich, then maybe a wednesday night for you. I highly recommend to make reservations. If not, you can sit by the bar to wait for one of the booths to open up(you seat yourself when one opens up.) The wine list is impressive and so are their entire drink list, so if you enjoy that kind of thing, then you are really going to enjoy dining here(again, sticker shock alert.) FOOD: 1. Bread comes complimentary with two different kind of dip/sauce — a. bleu cheese sauce infused with something something and b. some butter blended with something something. The bread itself was made with something something — lol — the reason why i do this is because it was so fancy and the name was so long that it was impossible to take in … but the bread itself is most definitely possible to gobble up. Delicious! 2. Porkchop with julienne apple, apple cider, and I believe it was whole mustard. Again, the ingredients and what goes into the food is something that goes passes right over my head. Anyway: THISTHINGISHUGE. I believe that two people can easily share this meal especially since the side items are around 10 – 13 bucks a pop and«family size.» This dish itself was around $ 35. It does take a while to cook so give it some time. Although mine came out a little undercooked for my taste, it was okay. I requested for them to cook it just a little while longer … 3. Filet mignon — soft as butter! Very well prepared … then again, it was too soft to a fault? Anyway, it was still good. Asparagus was also cooked perfectly. ATMOSPHERE: I say dress up. Nothing overly fancy, but dont look like raggedy anne either. SERVICE: TOPNOTCH. I cant ask for more. All in all, it was a lovely dinner. Without reservations, we still had a chance to sit on one of the booths although we had to wait by the bar area. Our meal came down to more than $ 100 with tip, so ouch … thats not something light for simple folks like us, but it was definitely a great dinner. They do have awesome happy hour deals before 7pm, so that will be our next thing to go for. Now, I was contemplating for a 4 stars since it is quite pricey and although the food looks impressive and it was delicious, the flavor was still somewhat lacking. Nothing too bad, but I was looking for something a bit more for the price.
