I ate here for the first time tonight since it is close to the Comfort Suites were I was staying in Athens. The décor seems new and it is a large and spacious restaurant, but the building is old and the air conditioning was doing all it could to keep up with the summer weather. Service was excellent and our server checked on us frequently and we didn’t have to ask for anything as she anticipated our needs which was great. The food is your average Mexican restaurant and was fine. I recommend the chips to have some salt on them and to add some salt to the rice too otherwise I’d say it was real good as I had the Texas Fajitas. The white queso was good and the salsa was tasty. Overall a good experience and I would return if craving Mexican and was in the area.

Let me start with the fact that our waitress was completely amazing. Very thoughtful and thorough. She’s the reason this place got three stars. The food, however, was meh. The rice was bland, the chicken tamale was lacking any flavor(or meat), and the salsa was awful. The tacos were amazing though. Homemade tortilla, freshly cooked. The sauces that came with it were really delicious. I wish the rest of the food was as good.
