Waited 2 hours!!! Food came cold and incomplete order. Drinks didn’t get refilled. Just don’t go here unless you want someplace to kill time

I would give this place no stars. They had only 3 waitresses. They made the excuse to cover their very bad service.. They made no apology for their lack of attention. Their attitude where awful. 2 hour to get done with a meal.

This IHOP has the slowest service ever. I don’t know who our server is and we have been waiting for an hour from the time we entered and still waiting on our food. We are traveling home from vacation and now our schedule is shot!

I’ve visited this IHOP three separate times over the course of two years. I keep giving it a chance, even though I always leave more disappointed than the last visit.
We’ve experienced lazy staff, long wait times, and terrible food on all three visits. Maybe if the employees weren’t constantly taking 15 minute breaks to smoke out back then our experience would have been better.
The IHOP locations in surrounding cities are awesome, but unfortunately the one in Athens, AL is terrible.
Do yourself a favor and go to Cracker Barrell or Waffle House if you want breakfast.

Food was decent, but the wait was dreadful! It took forever to get service and took 35 minutes to get EGGS AND BACON!!! Took forever to get our check. Got 0 refills on my water. Have a feeling this won’t change.

I go to IHOP twice a week in Decatur. I just move to Athens. Today it’s my first time go to Athens’ Ihop. The food is good as other IHOP, but the server is not nice. I love the chicken noodle soup, I order two bowl every time. I wanna the chicken noodle soup more juice less noodle that I eat in other IHOP every time. And I told my server, but She said whatever come with. I can’t change. I’m so sad.

Our server was fantastic! No lie, the food was hot, the order was accurate, and folks were just hella cool.

On two occasions the restaurant was so understaffed that it took nearly an hour to serve my food from the time I ordered. Only IHOP I have ever seen that does not open until 7 am even though there are several big box hotels within walking distance. Server was overly apologetic most likely due to the stress of constant complaints by customers when the food finally did arrive it was properly prepared. If you have limited time to eat you might reconsider eating here.

Pretty good place to have a good breakfast I have been here 4 times so far and the staff I upbeat and on top of everything they are very personal and like to get to know their customers. I will definitely be coming back here.

Great breakfast experience here. Wait staff friendly, price (6.99 for all you can eat pancake breakfasts) was reasonable, for came quick, hot and very tasty.

Clean, new and got iced tea quickly. I don’t know why all the hatin’ on this Ihop. It’s an Ihop. It’s convenient to I65 if you are heading north or south and want a hot meal. I had my food out in under 4 minutes, and iced tea immediately. Everyone was friendly.
I picked an odd dish for an Ihop, the chorizo chicken burrito and it was good. The chorizo wasn’t crumbled, like I’m used to having it be, so it was almost like tofu-​chorizo, but there were fresh peppers, onions and a semi-​grilled poblano on the side. The salsa was good and what’s not to love about a Ramekin full of delicious creamy sour cream?
Like I said in my «tip»: on today’s receipt, if you take their phone/​online survey within 3 days you get 3 (short stack maybe?) of buttermilk pancakes free, on a return visit. The flour tortilla was a little overcooked, making it kind of crunchy, but if you dumped out the chicken/​chorizo mix and ate that with your salsa, what remained was a cheesy tortilla much like a quesadilla, another BONUS!
All this goodness for 7.99 and the ladies were kind enough to give me a fresh tea «to go» at no cost (since it’s about a thousand degrees out today.
Makes me wonder if «hatin’ begets hatin.’»
I’d recommend this place. Oh, and the bathroom was clean, too! Always nice!

Terrible service, rude staff. The orders don’t even come out correct. Three times we have been and we will never be back. After a lengthy Facebook thread, we have realized we aren’t alone in buying our pancakes elsewhere.
