Disorganized service which is excusable as long as the food is good but it was not. The shepards pie was bland and microwaved. The green beans, squash casserole, broccoli casserole and Mac and cheese all had a similar strange chemical flavor that completely disgusted me and my girlfriend. Came in hungry, left feeling sick. I would recommend against this place at all costs

Excellent breakfast and very nice staff. Get the scrambler! Pancakes were good and the bacon was great! Everything was perfect.

Good food and great service. My family and I average eating there 2 to 3 times a week. I just wish they were open more than the four days a week that they are. Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner, you can’t go wrong eating any meal there. Prices are in line with other local places. We have eaten there with the original owner and the new owner. Good food both then and now. My family is EXTREMELY picky and I can honestly say if they say the food is good, BELIEVE me it passes all test in my book!!!

Lulu’s has closed and re-opened, and I can honestly say — they should have stayed closed. I can’t say how many tImes my father has taken me there for breakfast over the years, but as of its recent demise and re-opening, the disasters outweigh the delights. The first time, they couldn’t light their range, then another time, they for got my order(one of four on the same ticket) and today’s adventure in absurdity– eggs that were asked for over medium — and on the plate– week I was thinking with a whisk, we could have made a meringue. It is real country, and it has all of the the hallmarks of a meat and two, or meat and three– except nothing(with rare exception) appears fresh or house made. Everything has to be canned or frozen, and has the life cooked out of it. If sustenance is your goal, Lulu’s will do, if there are no other options. But there are are; so take advantage of them. So why two stars, it’s the server, Anna. Delightfully cheerful, and always pleasant and enthusiastic.

My grandparents live nearby and are regulars, so any trip to North Huntsville also includes a Sunday morning farewell breakfast at Lulu’s. This place is a hometown favorite, and the small town atmosphere pervades in a homey, comforting sort of way. Breakfasts are simple and inexpensive, with the scramblers being a popular option, featuring a generous portion of hash browns and eggs cooked with whatever your favorite omelet toppings are. I always stick with a simple egg and biscuit sandwich, though their breakfast gravy is hard to resist. Also, even if you’re just there for breakfast, get whatever their dessert special of the day is to-go. This past Sunday, it was homemade fresh blackberry cobbler!
