Found while searching for decent coffee while passing through on road trip. Simply put: great coffee and great service!

I absolutely love this place. The staff is always friendly and the coffee is great. They have milk substitutes available. Great coffee as well. Try the café miel if you are up for something new.

Amazing Coffee! All organic(including organic sweeteners). You’ll often find the owner behind counter pulling shots or perfecting a pour over. It’s the real deal — check it out.

I hate leaving a review like this, but this is because of the service we received here. We came through on a road trip and thought it may have lunch grub, but they were low on food. No biggie. We decided to get coffee and go on down the road for food. Our barista seemed nice, but when I asked for a coffee he tried to talk me into a latte. I explained to him I am one of those people who likes the taste of coffee, like I like the taste of whiskey. I specifically said I do not like milk or sweeteners in my coffee. He then gave us a lecture about his life and how he doesn’t drink anything but water and coffee now for more than ten years and still insisted I get something with milk or sweetener. I said no, just the coffee. The reason for the one star is because he made me a latte, after all that he quickly tried to cover the foam in the cup with the lid, but I noticed. We were short on time so I left knowing that Unilocal is sharper than any sword. The latte sucked! It wasn’t what I ordered which is worse. Maybe their coffee is good, I’ll never know because I was on a road trip and a barista decided to give me what he wanted me to have instead of what I wanted. I will not go back and if you like to get what you order neither should you.

Tired of Starbuck’s rising prices and lack of quality? Yeah, me too! Make sure to patronize local places like Joebella. Friendly staff, fresh beans, and individual drip coffee. Wish I lived in the area, I would be there all the time.

We have been getting our coffee from them for several years. We had tried most of them now and LOVE the double dark. So good and smooth!

This is a great local spot with plenty of seating, fantastic coffee, and friendly service. Joe is the nicest guy and is roasting beans here daily and distributing all around.

A local guy(Joe) making rare coffees from around the world. This is definitely NOT Starbucks. A hidden gem, best coffee in the county… period!

Solid coffee shop and good smoothies too! Very cute little place and I love the local vibe. It’s within walking distance of a bunch of cool shops so it’s a great place to park, get caffeinated and then walk around from. Service was good and friendly and you could tell there were a lot of regulars(always a good sign at a coffee shop!). Worth a stop if you are a local or a visitor!

Excellent coffee! Same coffee that Socrates uses. Excellent roasters and they also have a coffee shop. The croissants are the best I’ve had in a while. Plus the pumpkin pie latte(made from real pumpkin) is soo good it’s my new craving for the season.

The BESTCUPOFCOFFEE I’VEHADINYEARS. Nice and rich and strong without being bitter. The Sumatra was so good, I bought a pound to take home and make. The big chain coffee place has coffee that’s too wishy-washy.

Best Coffee in the county. That’s the most important thing with a Coffee place — so I rate 5 stars. I go with the stuff they have in the jugs most time: it’s french pressed goodness. But they’ll do a pour over for just about anything. Very friendly staff, Dog Friendly, Family Friendly, Lattes are good. There’s great community here and everyone says hi to everyone. Some things to think about improving: — While the Staff do a great job getting everyone served, seating is hard to get when it’s busy. Wouldn’t be very hard to add a few more tables and chairs out front. — Some of the pastries aren’t that great. The croissants are kinda hard.

We learned of Joebella Coffee after having breakfast at Red Scooter Deli. We decided to check it out. Quaint and cozy coffee shop in an industrial area. Seated on bar stools at the counter, we enjoyed the view of stacked burlap bags of coffee beans and the coffee roaster in the neighboring room. Relaxed, peaceful atmosphere, both inside and outside. We enjoyed our full-bodied and flavorful cups of coffee. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Fun find.

Being new-comers to Atascadero we’ve tried a few different coffee shops. Joebellas is just outstanding! A hot mocha with a bran muffin is the perfect way to start the morning:) Staff are very friendly and our dog Jeff loves the free dog treats!

Behind the bar at Joebella you will find an iconic and intricately designed La Marzocco espresso machine. Hand made in Florence, Italy, these beauties find their way into equally iconic coffee houses like Joebella. Much respect and patronage is due to owners who are thoughtful enough to bring life to espresso from these remarkable machines. Joebella is a small shop, cozy and friendly. If you are anywhere nearby, it’s worth the trip to find. From the customer area you can see into Joebella’s roasting room, where the latent wealth of green coffee beans is transformed by Joebella’s own roasting machine. From roaster to espresso it’s, what, 20 paces? Nice. I had the pleasure of having a double espresso. The crema was intense, sweet, complex, and just delightful. Big swanky coffee houses have everything and more, and could swallow up Joebella. But there’s something charming about a small coffee house with owners that care about their customers and their craft.

Wow, best coffee I’ve had on the central coast– and that’s coming from a coffee fanatic. The service is great, their staff is very friendly. It’s also awesome that they all you to se behind the scenes in the workshop! My latte was perfect, as was my fathers. The Santa Fe is amazing if you want some kick. The café miel was very smd cinnamon-y sweet if you’re leaning that way. Highly recommended, I will absolutely be back!
