Great Pizza! Possibly the greatest tasting pizza in NYC. Been going there since the early 80’s when it was full of arcade games and had to fight my way to playing Pac-Man. The joint is small but you still get that nostalgic feel every time you are there, and the price is on point and reasonable and the service is good.

by far one of the best pizza joints in Astoria if not NYC… the sauce in the slices has this slight kick to it which gives the slice it’s own signature… if you want authentic NYC… you’ve come to the right place… enjoy!!!

I went in on the Friday before the super bowl to see if I could buy a couple of doughs. Unfortunately they were running low and couldn’t accommodate me, but the guy told me they opened at ten and to come back the next day. I showed up on time the next day and the owner was the only one in the store. She was so sweet and so nice, even though they were still low on pizza doughs she sold them to me because her son promised them to me. This kind of wonderful customer service will keep me coming back for life. Also, the doughs were beautiful and the perfect accompaniment to the dish I was making. I highly recommend this place to anybody who wants good food and amazing service!

If you are looking for the best slice of NY pizza then look no further. The cheese, sauce, and dough blend together to create the perfect pizza. The crust is amazing with just the right amount of crisp outside and softness inside. I can easily eat half a pie by myself. Great for stopping by for a quick slice or delivery and if you want to hang out a feel like a kid there’s a Ms. Pacman arcade!

LOVE this place. Pizza is amazing and the beef patties are really good too. Obviously not a «first date» place, but great for quick lunch if you want to grab a delicious slice of pizza!

Living around the corner from this pizza spot for the last year and a half, I have finally tried it out! Very small place with about 7 tables inside. The pizza is priced well– crunchy crust with fresh cheese served at the right temperature– not burn your mouth hot and nowhere near room temperature. I added mushrooms to my slice for an extra 50 cents. I will definitely stop by again for a quick bite, maybe even adding the place to my rotation of take out spots!

I’ve never met such a rude lady in my life. I called for a delivery and she was highly annoyed with me stating I made her run for the phone when they don’t deliver until 1pm. Is she serious?! I’ve encounter her plenty of times face to face and she’s been blatantly rude in my face as well as to many others. She’s definitely racist I’ve encounter other times where she’s rude to others. The nerve of her! Still I go there because her son and worker are sweethearts. She may not use the top of the line pizza products but the prices are good. Today was my final straw with this miserable lady. I’d rather walk to another place than deal with her anymore!

The place is pretty old but the seating area is pretty clean. The lady at the counter could be more friendly and the space behind the counter could definitely be spruced up. It looks disorganized and not as clean which is unfortunate. The inside is pretty dimly lit and the equipment looks old and not very well taken care of. Now on to the actual pizza. The dough is too tough and thick for my liking. Its not really good pizza but its not terrible either. If you’re looking for a cheap, quick bite in the area, this serves fine. Conclusion: I won’t be going out of my way to eat here or order from here.

Best pizza in the area, great staff and really fast delivery. They’ve been around for a while and there’s a reason for that.

The pizza looks good, medium in size, each slice looks wide but not overly wide. The pizza looks fresh and glossy, not stale. What it lacks is a bit of flavor though. I didn’t get the dripping oil from my pizza, which is a plus. The cheese was in clumps but in a good way, right temperature, not warm or burning hot and with enough melt to make string of the mozzarella. The crust was crispy and the dough was also good but could use work. All in all, for a place I pass by occasionally and hardly notice, because the décor is not glamourful. The fridge stocks basics and the lady behind the counter seems to know some of the customers, seating is about a handful. Be patient when ordering, she is nice but seems to like talking while she handles her thing. Good pizza. Above Average.

I feel bad giving such a bad review since the old lady at the counter was so nice. But seriously, I ordered a chicken parm hero. Although the cheese and sauce were nice, the cutlet was awful. It was dry and partially unthawed! Worst, as I was about to finish, I noticed a big hair right in the middle of it. I can’t speak about their pizza since I never had it. But do NOT order there hot subs. If it weren’t served to me by a nice old lady it’d get 1-star.

I don’t eat pizza very often but when I do this is one of the best places to get pizza from in my area. I’ve tried other pizza places in my area but non compare to Samaria’s. The pizza here always taste fresh; and I don’t know what she puts in her sauce but omg all I can tell you is it’s so good. The price for a regular slice is $ 2.25 which is very reasonably priced. Sorry I don’t know the owners name but I do know she’s very nice, always friendly and has smile on her face. She makes you feel welcomed from the moment you step in. You can tell she has a lot of regular customers because whenever I come in she laughing and talking with her customers and you can see she has that motherly vibe. The restaurant is always clean and semi crowded.

This place doesn’t deserve a star. Did even have a chance to eat. I had to repeat my order 3 times to the lady. Bake Ziti with tomatoe sauce. «Do you want cheese?» she asks me. Of course I said. How else do you make a baked ziti? Doesn’t baked ziti have cheese? I just left and went somewhere else where they know what they are doing. As for service this place SUCKS. As for the food I don’t know becuase I didn’t try, but if she doesn’t know how to make something, it must SUCK too.

I tried it. I liked it. 99% of the pizza I eat in Astoria is from either Sac’s or Dino’s but I think I just found a new spot. It’s a bit of a hole-in-the-wall and there’s no soda fountain but the crust was crunchy and the sauce was rich and sweet. Oh and it’s much cheaper than the usual places.

Probably one of the smallest pizza spots in Astoria/Long Island City — Samaria’s Pizza is a family owned and ran spot. They have your usual selection of slices and pies and usually you’d have to get your pizza with a topping heated up. It’s not ready right away. But the wait is never ever that long. I just usually go for regular cheese slices and they’re usually spot on. It’s just your regular slices. Nothing fancy. I’ve had toppings added before and it’s still your usual same pizza. And for the price it’s worth it. And if you’re ever bored they have one TV where you can usually end watching American Football or Soccer on.

This is my top place for pizza. No frills, nothing fancy but such spectacular fresh pizza. I’ve tried pizzas in the neighborhood and I always come back here. The dough is super crispy and not too thick. The cheese is delicious, everything I’ve bought here just melts in your mouth. Maria the owner, looks serious but she is super friendly and she always gives great service. Order NOW!!!
