I tried Watermelon-​Mint inside Pineapple hookah and It was Perfect. The owner and workers so friendly and helpful. My favorite hookah place definitely Dandana. Thank you for everything guys.

So everything from my last review still holds true, but the stars went down because I can no longer come here and get $ 5 hookah. The regular hookah prices went from $ 10 to $ 12, which means during happy hour I pay $ 7 for regular hookah. Honestly don’t think the quality is good enough for me to pay $ 2 more. Big bummer for me, not sure if I’ll be coming as often anymore.

I recently started to come to Dandana because of my friend. The great thing about them is the happy hour discount for their hookah. You get five dollars off which is really great. But the only thing that I have noticed with their hookah is that it makes me really sick. Ive been smoking for about 4 – 5 years now and no place makes me this sick/​nauseous. Their food is really great though. The servers are really nice. The place is just really chill in general and they have an outdoor hookah area (:

Friday and Saturday nights is always a party! Great service, hookah and drinks. Kevin is the best. He always gives amazing service. Love this place!!! 10 stars! I will definitely come back again and again!

This place is by far one of the best hookah places around, chill environment, great music, great food, great hookah, great service. Do yourself a favor and give it a try

My favorite place. I’m here almost every day. On the weekdays it’s a great place to sit and get work done and weekends it’s always packed. The staff is nice and Manager Kevin is the best.

The hookah is just terrible! You have to wait for the waiter for 20 min to order drinks or get your check at the end of the night. Don’t waste your time and money!

The hookah was very terrible… server was not bad. Left in 10 minutes, paid full price including mandatory gratuity. Server offered no recourse, I didn’t ask any.

This is a nice spot. I came here for the happy hour $ 5 off hookah. The deal is a regular hookah $ 5 and they also do buy 2 get 1 drink free from 4p — 8p.
The place is nice and casual with couches and small stools lining the front. The staff is friendly and the hookah is okay. The food is also tasty. I ordered the falafel, chicken fingers, and a Moroccan tea for one.
The falafel was good, the chicken fingers were very good, abs the tea was delicious. Overall the food and hookah was worth the trip to Queens. The music was enjoyable and they have several tv’s too. For a Monday night this was a good choice for the price.
The only negative is that the hookah runs out of flavor after an hour.

The tried the burger and it was really bad. The burger itself was extremely dry and was super bland.
The service was horrible. Our waitress, Safa had a nasty attitude and was rude. I asked her politely for some water and napkins as soon as we were seated since its allergy season and I really needed some napkins. After waiting for about 15 mins I politely asked Safa again for some napkins and water and told her that I needed them as soon as a possible. The restaurant wasn’t busy at this time and she walked past our table many many times and paid no attention to our request. Then I asked a different waiter who was much more polite, he said that he will bring it to her attention and even after he spoke to her, Safa finally gave us water about 30 mins later. When she came to our table she put a piece of napkin under our glass of water to serve as a coaster. When I asked her where the napkins were, she had a disgusting attitude and told me that it’s under the glass. I don’t underhand how someone can even say something that dumb. I told her that’s servings as a coaster and that I asked for some extra napkins. She left with an attitude and continued to be nasty.
There is a button on the wall behind every table to call the server and Safa did not once answer to our call which is why we had to ask a different waiter for the same things we had asked her for twice already. Just to top it off she overcharged us for the food and a different waiter had to adjust the bill so we could pay and leave.
Overall horrible experience with food and service. Will not come back here again.

Hookah is always great, and the service is A1.
They have eloquent jazz brunches on Sunday afternoons and belly dancers on the weekend nights. Its always a good time here!

Great hookah. Drinks taste like every other hookah spot in astoria and around the same price range $ 11-​$ 14 cocktails and $ 5 – 7 for beers/​wine. Theres not much diversity in the music but I dont mind since I love arab music. Not much diversity in the crowd either, its really more of a chill spot anyway. I like it better in the summer when they have outside seating.

Great place for being romantic and the hookah tastes great. The Manager Kevin hospitality was awesome and the Martini as well. Clean cozy and a descend size. Definitely a date night spot or a ladies night get together!

I ordered from this place on Grubhub and the order was estimated to take 40 – 50 mins. Well, that’s fine — as that’s the usual ‘estimate wait time’. The order took 75 mins to get to my place. I was annoyed because I ordered Hummus appetizer, a Lamb dish with couscous, and a falafel sandwich.
So, the food was pretty gross. The falafel sandwich was the only thing that was good. The hummus was … just gross. It tasted like paste. The lamb dish, I ordered with some pinto bean sauce, just tasted off. The lamb was cooked nice but it had a weird after taste. The pita tasted weird. I threw it out after a couple of bites.
I am only writing this review to have a place where I can look so I don’t order from here ever again.

I have been here like 6 times in the past two years. It has become progressively «Unmiddle-​eastern». They used to pay more Arabic music but now it’s mostly Hispanic music and even that not the type you can dance to. You can’t even play good middle eastern music to keep the dance floor active? We come here to smoke hookah and listen to some good music. And maybe dance. Doesn’t look like we will be coming back here again. Disappointed.

This is one of my go to spots, I’ve been coming for years. I always get the fried calamari and the hummus, the drinks are good and the hookah never disappoints. It’s definitely a good spot to have a relaxed and casual vibe, in a less crowded establishment.

Cool place to hang out. Love that it has an outdoor area to sit and enjoy the nice, warm weather.
We ordered some food and drinks along with a fee hookahs. The food was good although it doesn’t compare to my grandmothers food. But does it ever compare to grandma’s food?
The drinks I ordered were very sweet so next time I’m going to end up sticking with water probably. The server (Kevin, I think) was very nice and attentive.
