Brik Bar Lounge & Kitchen

I went to this bar last week and had a wonderful experience. The food was clean and tasteful.
The music was pretty good as well it was just a little loud but Astoria tends to be this way.
As for the bartender… Well he was perfection! He knew how to mix drinks and customer service was at its best. I shall be back very soon.

Ordered garlic shrimp from here and chicken wings. When opened I was shocked. There were 4 shrimps! 4 shrimps for 13 $!!! They should have stated that in the menu. The chicken wings also came with no sauce, you have to buy it additionally. Huge disappointment and ruined evening. If only I knew would have never ordered from them.

Came here because the sports bar down the block was PACKED.
The waitress was nice. The game was on so there was no music– lame! The drinks were okay. $ 8 for a mixed drink, which is pretty high since I know so many places in the area that sell them for 4.
The wings were pretty good.
What really turned me off was the hookah. We ordered a hookah for $ 25 ($ 10 a few blocks down) and the girl said it wasn’t a traditional one but we didn’t ask any questions (our mistake). It was an electronic tiny vape thing??? Disgusting and a total embarrassment and a waste of money. We paid and left immediately.
Never going back.

Cool little place to stop by, get a drink and head out. Their mango mojitos were amazing!

My sister had ordered a cheddar burger worth $ 10.00 take out and when I opened the bag. The burger was hard and there were very cheap on the lettuce no ketchup nor fries. Very bad food. Waste of money. Big dissapointment.

Went here with my best friend. Our waitress was super sweet and attentive. (smiled a lot which further her customer service!) The food was so good. I’m obsessed with the coquettes! The bartender made the perfect blend of mojitos. Even the owners are super attentive of their customers.
Layout and décor is nice and chilled. I highly recommend this establishment.
My only disappointment is that their not located in Manhattan. Wahhhhhh :(

My first time here and I really don’t have any complaints! Granted, I came on a Monday night so I have no idea of the atmosphere of a weekend night. The place is a fairly decent size, very clean looking and a nice ambiance. Lots of tv’s for your sporting events too! I also liked the fact that I was in the mood to hear some music and being it was a Monday night– not many places have that «vibe» to it but they had the jukebox on and had it at a decent volume! You know– the kind of volume that if you wanted to sing along you could without embarrassing yourself, and at the same time if you wanted to talk to your friends you still aren’t shouting? LoL Speaking of talking– my friend and I also met some interesting people from London this night. Very pleasant to talk to! It also says a lot about the place itself by the customers. Nobody was loud or obnoxious or causing problems — and for a Monday night there was a decent amount of people there– so extra points for that haha As for the drinks– the bartender made them pretty strong, I didn’t feel cheated at all. The prices are really fair too. I also decided to get a little something to eat and I ordered the macaroni and cheese and added bacon. I gotta say– it was pretty damn good! Only thing that isn’t fun about this place is– bathrooms are downstairs boo! LoL Otherwise– like I said, no complaints! And I did come on a weekday so I’ll have to go back on a weekend night and check it out.

Came to brik bar for brunch with the boyfriend and we had a great time. Service was great — I had the bottomless brunch for $ 20. Be clear, it only includes unlimited mimosa, champagne, bloody mary or sangria for 1.5 hours. No food. The food is separate. And you have to order brunch food to keep the unlimited drinks price the same. One of the bartenders made the mistake of telling me other wise but the problem was quickly fixed and fun times were had. My bf ordered the brunch burger which comes w potatoes and salad. He said it was so good they have to have that on the main menu. I had the veggie wrap w seasonal veggies which were sweet potato, squash, red peppers w balsamic vingarette and it comes w mini salad on the plate. With some tobasco, it tasted great. The veggie wrap is on the main menu just in case. I also ordered extra fries on the side w their dipping sauce. I love the fries here! All in all it was a fun time w my honey & it was reasonably priced. FYI — we sat at the bar. Which is probably why the service was amazing!

I am one who is BIG on customer service!!! And the service here is HORRIBLE!!! My friend and I were out on a Saturday night looking for a place to get some food, drinks and hookah from, so we settled on here because we wanted to try a new place.
As soon as the hostess spoke to us with her snark little attitude I got bad vibes, but I brushed it off anyway because I was starving and just wanted to be seated and eat. She told us we had to wait unless we wanted to sit outside, so of course we sat ourselves and she didn’t even bother taking us there.
Out came a waitress and gave us the menu and told us that the kitchen was closing soon, so we needed to order asap. No big deal for us because our main purpose was food. We asked for the hookah menu and she said there wasn’t one. She told us the flavors. We decided on what we wanted within 2 mins and then patiently waited for her to return and take out order. 20 mins and my friend and I are still sitting there staring at each other. We asked another one of the waitresses and she just looked confused. No waitress, no food, no drinks, no hookah. One of the male employees (possibly manager) noticed and asked us if we were being help and I explained to him what was told to us. He then brings out a random girl to take our order and as soon as she was going to take our order she verbatim says «hold on a sec». She goes back in, and we waited another 5 mins.
We just got up and left. I’m disgusted!

This place ist the worst place ever, the food is nasty and overpriced their drinks are horrible and on a plastic cup really? ??? never, never again !!.

I live a couple blocks away and waited two hours for a quesadilla that never came. Wish I would of been able to try there food but ya know what, when I called they were rude about me inquiring about my order. Worst part, they didn’t misplace my order. They just didn’t care about my small order.

When ever you are in Astoria this place is a must !!
Here for happy hour ! Manager is friendly and helpful with our choice of drinks and food, music is just right ! Chicken quesadilla owns!!!

I was on Steinway and I really wanted some food and a drink so I came to brik lounge and I must say I was very impressed. The food was amazing and the staff really made me feel welcomed i will deff come back the bartenders are very welcoming… if your ever in Queens brik is the spot to go to !!

I recently moved to Astoria and had been meaning to tour my new neighborhood, but my work schedule is crazy. Anyway on August 11^th, my friend was in need of a happy hour, because her boyfriend of 5 years broke up with her, that jerk! Anyway while out looking around for a place to get our happy hour drink on, we stumbled upon Brik. We chose a table outside and the waitress, forgot her name though, was so sweet. We had the shrimp and Calamari for appetizers and we shared the mac and cheese, everything was delicious omg. We had about 4 Meekly between the both of us then a frozen Margarita, soooooo good. We had a great time and promised to go back again.
Well yesterday August 20^th, I ended going back again with the guy I’m dating, this time I went around 10, we just wanted drinks and just to relax and have a good time. The waitresses were all nice, the drinks were good, my guy had about three Red Bull and Hennessy, and a Hennessy and Colada mix. Sooo good. The Dj was awesome that night. He played reply good Reggae and Hip Hop. I had a great as a time, shaking my little ass. Can’t wait to go back. My new favorite spot. Love you Brik

Was out bar hopping and found this spot. Dont get me wrong it was a pretty good spot and it was very crowded and even had a special drink menu for memorial day (say whattt?!). Our hostess was very nice and did not give any of us a hard time which i enjoyed
Wings were good as well as the filling sauces they have for the boring non drinker lok. i enjoyed myself. He got no tip btw

Great find right off of the R train. The food is good and the service is very prompt. Will defiantly will make this one of my spots in Astoria.

Tapas, cocktails, drinks, shots, beers, happy hours…
3 stars because I won’t be a fan, not because of the service which is great, a lot of TV’s, long bar. Prices are ok also and I almost forgot to mention the long walk to the restroom.
I believe dudes should respect their girlfriends when their working, nobody want to see the waitresses cuddling and french kissing with their boyfriends while people are waiting for their order lol. It doesn’t look good in a business.
Everything else was fine.

Came out to this establishment for some drinks and food. This bar/​restaurant is located in a very popular area that is full of other well known bars and restaurants.
The first thing you notice is the live atmosphere and music. The bar is surrounded by flat screen TVs which normally show sports (on game nights) or music videos. On weekends and evenings is when you get more action inside the venue with live DJs and Events.
When it comes to the food I’ve only tried their burger which was amazing. The people that were with me had the same thing and they both agreed. For drinks we had the Jack Punch which tasted real good, even for me who normally doesnt drink whiskey. I noticed they also have Hookah available which comes in a big electronic version and not your typical Hookah with charcoal.
I definitely had a good time here and will be returning soon.

I came here since we were in the area and my friend wanted to come. I used to come here when it was OE so I decided to give a shot. The new owners renovated and it they did a great job. Its very pretty and trendy however whats up with al the light? its way too bright in there for my taste.
Now the drinks are way over price $ 12 – 14 for drinks like this is Astoria not midtown and they weren’t even that strong. We weren’t really hungry but the fries smelled good so we decided to order fries and the Mexicali wings. The wings were okay but they don’t even give you any ranch or blue cheese with them. The fries were seasoned well but they were on the soggy side. The best part was the dipping sauce that came with the fries, it was really good.

Great atmosphere with plenty of Tvs to enjoy a game. Bartenders are friendly and drinks are pretty good. DJ was horrible and better music from the jut box.
Drinks: favorite drink has to be the frozen sangria & henny colada. They had a specialty drink menu a few weeks ago w/​on of the drinks being a Jack Palmer. When I asked the waitress she looked at me and said um not sure what that is so I explained. She said oh didn’t hear of that but maybe you should ask the bartender bc I am not sure. Why the hell would I ask the bartender when you are my waitress? ??? Never ever tell your customer to get up from their seat, walk over to the bar when you are my waitress. Like hellloooo!!! She was sweet so maybe she was new and didn’t know any better. She did bring me the drink and I guess they got rid of that special drink menu.
Food: I read the meatballs were really good but were a bit dry and not flavorful when I tried them. I must say the tomatoe sauce they used was amazing and sooo flavorful wow!!!
Pulled pork quesadilla: mehh. Nothing special won’t try it again. I had to pay $ 1 extra for sour cream? I thought quesadillas usually come with SC? Oh well.
Mexi wings: Mmmm actually really good. Good flavors. A Lil sweet and I will definitely try these wings again.
Overall i had a fun and it’s a good local spot to hang out.
