I have been ordering here for many years. Lately the service and quality of food has not been as good as previous years. Even after having them repeat my order things have been left out or incorrect. I truly love the owners and hope they take this serious. If I did not appreciate the owners I would have given 2 stars. Here are a few hints I would like to see change. Have someone answer the phone that understands and can communicate properly. Make sure things are double checked prior to giving them to the customer or driver for delivery. When the owners are not there it is run differently. I know it is hard to find good help, but at least have them care half as much as you do and I think you will continually succeed. Find a substitute for all the salt you use in the dishes and add a few more shrimp or pieces of meat to each dish. I should return again, however my family has been trying different options lately.

Don’t believe everything thing you read. I went here tonight at 5pm. I had other choices but saw 4 stars and thought good choice. Beef and snow peas had 80% snow peas 7 Slivers of beef? Sad. Shrimp and scallops with broccoli was 15 chunks of broccoli 7 shrimp and 2 tiny dry scallops. The combo fried rice was way too salty, reheated tasting. The steamed rice was very good. Never again.

Like, 3.5, but not four. Got delivery tonight, love delivery! Nice and quick, delivery guy was super nice. But, the woman who took my order forgot to give me my total or ring me up and take my credit card info, which made things a bit awkward. Ordered: Vegetable spring rolls– Meh, won’t order again. Crispy outside, rather flavorless, mushy middle. Standard spring rolls. Moo shu vegetable — came with tortillas and insufficient plum sauce, because the moo Shu bit was pretty bland on its own. Vegetable lo mein– nice fresh vegetables, noodles a bit on the mushy side, could use more flavor, but the kids were sort of fans. Szechuan green beans– delicious, but not spicy. I’d order these again, for sure. Bean cake and vegetable– also delicious, loaded with fresh vegetables and baby corn(always a hit with the kids). Would love to see slightly more authentic mushrooms, more garlic, but still good. My kids liked this best. Wish our order had come with a lot more rice. Four dishes, two appetizers, and it came with two tiny boxes of rice… Totally inadequate. I get that two dishes already had their carbs, buy one tiny box of rice isn’t enough to go with one big box of vegetables. Will definitely order again, but more selectively. Can I request more vegetarian dishes? Please??? Prices are good and it’s super convenient for us.

My wife and I had a chinese craving and decided to our luck out on some of the local spots. Having moved to the area recently from Gaithersburg, we’re looking for a new Chinese Take-Out joint. After reading the reviews on Unilocal,Mee Shane Restaurant looked promising. Prices are great here! We ordered two dinner combos: 7.99 for the dish, fried rice and egg roll. For 50 cents more, you can add a side of soup. Ordering was quick and easy. Service was friendly and 15 minutes later, my order was ready to pick up! It was hot, packaged and ready for me to take out the door. There are two small tables up front to sit at, in case you feel like eating in. I had ordered the Orange Chicken Combo(with Hot and Sour Soup) and my WIfe had ordered the Orange Chicken(with Egg Drop) When we pulled everything out of the bag, we were impressed to see how large the portions were! There was plenty of food. The soup alone is enough for two people! Definitely worth the 50 cent upgrade. The large portion of the main dish is accompanied by a healthy side of fried rice and a crisp, hot egg roll. Presentation was nice. Nothing was slopped together or swimming in sauce. The Hot and Sour soup had a nice sour taste to it, but it soon waned, leaving you with the taste of bland corn starch. It was missing something, but I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. The chicken was hot and crisp. It was prepared in a nice tempura batter, which made for little fluffy, crisp dumplings. The sauce was sweet and tangy and wasn’t overpowering. The chicken stayed crisp and did not get soggy, like it can be with some other places. The fried rice was your standard fried rice, enjoyable, but nothing outstanding. The egg roll was hot and crisp, as well. It was not overly greasy, nor did it lack on filling. All in all, we enjoyed our meal and definitely had plenty left over(because we were quite full!) So why three stars? Well, several things. None of my food was bad. I enjoyed it all, but wasn’t «wowed» like I have been at my old chinese take-out restaurant. First: The spicy dishes lack spice. It’s as though the papers were waved over them. I’m one of the few who likes a little heat in his dish. This didn’t have any. Second: The General Tso’s and Orange chicken were essentially the same dish. This is pretty common and most chinese places, but really good ones will have distinct dishes. The Orange Chicken and Mee Shane had a little orange peel after taste(and the general tso’s had a little smokey flavor), but if you put the two dishes side by side and I was blindfolded… I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. Third: The soups. They’re relatively bland. Good flavor up front, but nothing that tantalizes the pallet. You’re left wondering what happened. They also don’t’ come with the fresh, fried won-tons that most restaurants provide. These were pre-packaged noodles, similar to La Choy noodles you find in the stores. Finally: Egg rolls. Great Egg rolls are hard to find. Theses were decent. They were crisp and not greasy, but were full of cabbage. I think at the end of mine, I got a nice bite of pork, but other than that, it was relatively uneventful. All in all, it’s a pretty decent joint. Will I go back? Of course! I enjoyed my meal. There are more items to try and decisions to render on the place. The prices are great, portion sizes are huge, and it will fulfill your chinese craving if you want take-out. Worth a try if you’re in the area! To get a 4 or 5 star review from me, though, it just needs to make a few improvements. Then it will be stellar!

Great food. Consistently good. It helps that it’s right up the road, and ridiculously convenient. Vegetable chow mein was a standout dish, great flavor. Would like to try it with the soft noodle next time. Quite a bit of food for the money too, good value. The service was prompt but otherwise unremarkable. It’s worth mentioning that it’s take-out only. Might save you from loading up the kiddos to head on down and grab you some Chinese food. Summary: A great go-to place to have in your repertoire for the nights that you want good Chinese food, but would rather eat at home.

Very reliable food. I’ve had the Shrimp fried rice before & recently Sesame chicken lunch special. Comes with egg roll & fried rice. Chicken very lightly fried & tender unlike many others. Rice done perfectly, light & tasty with no oily residue. Egg roll small but crispy & flavorful. Recommend for sure.

It’s the best Chinese take-out in town. Because it doesn’t just look like Chinese food, it actually tastes good. Prices are good, fast delivery. ’nuff said.

As far as Chinese takeout, this is one of the best places around. In the past the flavor was variable, never bad, but sometimes it was much tastier than others. But in the last year or two, every time I order, it is wonderful. It is family run and the people are wonderful. It makes me happy to spend my money there.

With the many Chinese take-out options in the Olney area, this is our favorite. The Sesame Chicken is actual chicken and very lightly battered/breaded. Their Triple Delight is yummy and fried rice is really tasty. Best in town!

I’ve been getting carry out food at this restaurant for several years. This family run business always aims to please. This is NOT someplace I would go to eat-in. It is a carry out and they do have local delivery. Tip the drivers if you go this route. They work for tips.

Good Chinese food. It is cheap and tastes good for a take out place. It is always fresh and the owners are very nice. I recommend it.

very very fast. Price is ok. Portions are So-so. Flavor is ok to abysmal. Atmosphere of a prison bathroom. Ive tried to order from here numerous times. It is pre-made? I dont know. Its often flavorless but at least its family owned i think.
