Best buffet restaurant ever
And I don’t even like to go to buffets
Every table had fresh tasty choices
Bread pudding was killer

The only reason I am giving it 1 star is because it won’t let me give it no stars. If you like bland, over priced food then this is the place for you. if you don’t like chicken then there is nothing for you to eat here. Worse buffet I have ever been too.

The worst food I’ve had in a very long time. The overall experience was terrible. It was so bad that I walked out. Do not eat here!

I was a little worried eating here. Buffets are not normally a good choice. I was pleasently surprised. The food was very good and the place was clean.

Two stars specifically for our server – she was quick, polite, and attentive. Unfortunately the bathroom floors were wet and sticky, food deletion was pretty limited, and there was an overall feeling of uncleanliness.

This place reminds me of another famous buffet I enjoy. OH GOLDEN CORRAL! I absolutely love GC, so I’m not quite sure if I’m being biased but I really tried to like this place. Overal, the food was pretty good, but the selection could’ve been better to me.
When we walked in I noticed a huge sign under «dinner» with a picture of some decadent meatloaf and a butt load of beautiful mashed pototoes. I couldn’t wait to go in and try some. After playing «Rock, Paper, Scissors, Shoot» with Jabari to see who’d pay for dinner (I won — he paid lol), we went inside and grabbed a table.
The food was displayed like the other buffet I mentioned — minus the steak section where the chef is carving meat for you… BUT. Ryan’s did have another option — they’ll cook you a steak or pork chop with a side of mashed or baked potato with a roll and bring it to your table. So, I thought they have 1 up on BC until my steak came. The steak didn’t look anything like the picture advertised. It was really tiny and wasn’t good at all. Jabari’s pork chop tasted delicious, though.
Once I was over that excitement *all sarcasm* i went back to the buffet table to find they weren’t serving meatloaf this day. TAKE ALL OF THESE DAMN PICTURES OF MEATLOAF DOWN IF YOU DON’T HAVE ANY MEATLOAF! I was extremely disappointed, but overall — this place was alright.

3 strikes and you’re out. When we first moved to the area we tried this location because of our previous experience in our hometown area. The experience was a big, «Meh!» The air conditioning was broken, it was warm (with chairs propping open doors) and the staff was indifferent, at best. Several months later we decided, that since we were in the area, we would give them another chance. The 2^nd time around was no better than the first, with the exception of the air conditioning functioning this time. The food quality was sub-​par at best and once again the staff seemed frazzled and indifferent. Flash forward a year and because of the commercials on tv touting a new CEO and «new direction» we decided to give this location ONE MORE TRY. Unfortunately the changes seemed to have done nothing for this particular location. It seemed they put even more tables in because it seemed like the backs of chairs were nearly touching everywhere. The food was again sub-par…food that was hot on the bar was almost cold by the time I walked to my table. I even got one of their ‘personal entrees’ of bacon mac & cheese. I had to keep using a yeast roll to soak up all the grease & oil at the bottom of the dish. A person who appeared to be the manager visited select tables and YET AGAIN the wait staff seemed very overworked and frazzled to the point that nobody seemed happy to be there. I’m sorry Ryan’s but this location has been scratched off my list permanently.

So we’ve been to Ryan’s before but never this location. We hadn’t been in years because the service and food were always severely lacking. We decided to try this location since we have kids and macaroni is a staple of both kids’ diets and Ryan’s. When we walked in the lady taking our money was very friendly and welcomed us giving us tips on how to navigate the buffet. We were surprised that there was a dedicated steak cutter/​server. The steak could be made to order and was actually very tasty. I felt weird going back for seconds but the gentleman assured me it was fine and was extremely nice and helpful. My boyfriend tasted my steak and decided to go try some but they didn’t have any medium rare. He came back to the table and in a few minutes the steak guy brought him a perfect steak. Ok, now to our waiter Tony. He was amazing. All of the servers seemed very capable but Tony was on top of everything. I’ve rarely had service this good at 5 star restaurants. The manager even made table visits to make sure everyone was happy which in my experience is rare in a buffet style restaurant. All in all I would highly recommend this location (I will still steer clear of others) and get ready to eat too much. Try the pecan pie too it was some of the best I’ve ever had and I’m southern born and raised.

Not to impressed with our visit employees just seem to not be customer friendly today Idk food below average this visit look at my steak and roast beef all not cooked and all fatty and couldn’t even eat it just a off visit we come here very often and this wad the worst oh s ‘ve been treated waiter was just not interested in doing his job like I said other visit have been great s t for our family just not pleased this time at all

Good food, but a little pricey cost $ 29.00 for me my wife and kids to eat and get drinks. Adult buffet was $ 10.99 kids buffet was.99¢, but only because it was thursday which is family night otherwise it would have cost even more, restaurant was clean and staff was helpful, except for the waitress that poured water in my soda, other than that was a great experience and would definitely eat here again.

My husband is a diehard buffet fan, especially when it comes to southern food. We were just passing through Asheville when we spotted Ryan’s. we went in with hopes of finding a good food.
The dining area is cramped and hostile. Especially since the doors swing open very wildly and vigorously from the team members carelessly slinging them open. The doors are located directly in front of the buffet line.
The rolls were dried out as was the chicken. Mashed potatoes were definitely instant made with city water. The steak on the buffet was completely raw and the roast was undeniably the worst I have ever had. You can request a steak and they will make it to order (or so they say) but mine come out completely burnt. The peach cobbler was good and that’s about it. Oh yeah, this STEAKHOUSE does not have A1 to go with their steaks. Usually that would be okay if the steaks were edible.
The only thing giving Ryan’s their one star would be the service. Our server was over worked but did his job perfectly even though my dissatisfaction was evident.
If I am ever back near this area, I will avoid Ryan’s… In fact, I do not see myself ever going back to another Ryan’s. It was that bad!

Ryan’s is amazing. The food is delicious and the prices are awesome. Plus all the staff are sweethearts. I have fond memories of growing up going to Ryan’s with my family.

My grandma loves this place so I take her every few weeks. Buffets usually gross me out but this one is pretty clean. I think all the food is really good considering the style of restaurant it is. We’ve always had good service.

Ryan’s Family Steak Houses are a staple of southern food restaurants, but that doesn’t automatically mean the food is very good.
While on a trip to the Great Smoky Mountain area, we stopped along the way to have dinner at this Ryan’s restaurant. I won’t bother boring you with the details.
The food was crap.
The service was lousy.
It would have been cheaper and tastier to buy a bag of dog treats from the local market.
