I’ve been going to Beauty Bar for a couple of years now. The owner, Lynn, is wonderful. Great customer service. Guarantee she will remember your name. Definitely make an appointment — while they do except walk-​ins they are almost always busy and you will likely have to wait or possibly be turned away (I don’t see this as a detractor… they are in high demand). I adore Hanka — she is the sweetest and extremely detailed. She will make sure your nails look perfect. Gel will last 8 – 10 days — but I’m hard on my hands and I rarely get manicures — only once every few months. I tend to go about once a month for a pedicure. My only request would be that they rub your feet/​calves a little bit longer… not really a complaint though as that seems to be the norm for the Northern Virginia area. The place is very clean and they have plenty of color options!

The staff here is exceptional. On my second visit, they even recognized me!
Prices are average, but service is, as I said, exceptional. The entire place is clean, white, and sanitary. You feel like you’re at a really high-​end salon, with average-​income pricing.
It’s my new go-​to, and I can’t wait to go back.
Vicki is delightful, and gives fantastic pedicures.

Had Tracy today. She did an excellent job on the pedicure. I haven’t had one this detailed and with so much care put into it in a long time.

This is my go-​to place! I go in twice a month to get my eyebrows waxed and the ladies not only recognize me when I walk in but know me by name. I’ve had a few pedicures and manicures done as well and have always been pleased. I paid for my mom and I to get a mani/​pedi together and the next time I came in the owner asked how my mom was. The place is always clean and they do their best to get you in as soon as possible.

I have been going to this salon as a regular customer for gel manicures and pedicures with my daughter. Despite the fact that the techs are great, the owner is rude and I will not support her business. I took my daughter in to remove her gel mani and was charged $ 5. I have never been charged for a removal. It’s always been in the price of a gel manicure. The charge isn’t posted anywhere in their store or brochure.

I absolutely love this place! I moved to Virginia a little over a year ago and like most women started searching for the best places to utilize for my beauty regimen. At first I went to a salon based on Unilocal reviews but after a few times I felt their services were subpar. My gel nails looked wonderful for about a week then started showing signs of wear before my next appointment. I was a walk in at the Beauty Bar but was attended to promptly and my nails looked beautiful. After a week my nails looked incredible and now I do my best to go in every two weeks but if I miss and it’s the 3^rd week my nails still have not chipped or look dull. I receive so many complements on my nails. I now use the Beauty Bar for pedicures and my daughter has waxing and nails done every two weeks. I’m so happy I decided to try this salon Lynn and the other ladies are absolutely wonderful!

I have had two very good experiences here. Good paint job quality pedi. I don’t feel rushed and they really do a quality job. The ladies are friendly and chat if you like or they just let you relax. The décor is trendy and modern and very clean. Hope I found my spot

If I could negative stars I would, 1 will have to do because 0 isn’t allowed. Let me tell you why you should NEVER get a Brazilian bikini wax or any other service at «Beauty Bar and Spa», there was no spa like quality to the traumatizing experience I suffered today and there is truly no better word to describe what I had happen to me.
It was so awful I asked the lady to stop and left crying. She didn’t wear gloves, she didn’t provide a modesty cover, and it was the most painful experience I’ve ever had. With every rip of my skin she dumped half a bottle of baby powder on me followed by some unmarked bottle of «gel».
I left feeling violated and dirty. I couldn’t get home fast enough to soak in a warm bath. My wax is incomplete because I couldn’t communicate with the lady (never told me her name) who didn’t speak English. Her bare fingernails were digging into my vagina, if that isn’t unsanitary and unpleasant I don’t know what is.
My skin is burned and extremely swollen and I will be filing a complaint with the board of cosmetology and the better business bureau immediately. Do not expect anything other than a truly agonizing experience at this place!

Just found this place after struggling 6 months trying to find a nail salon in Ashburn.
Just moved from SF and expected to find same quality/​price point as N. CA… until this place. I did call ahead (by 1 hour) to ensure my appointment time. I was booked with Joy for a spa manicure with a updated french mani w/​a twist: blue, gold & light pink. The service was great and got a neck and shoulder massage included! Price you ask? $ 32. I know, right?!
I will be going back for future appointments!

I just got a pedi done with them. So disappointed with their customer service. The lady who did my pedi asked me what kind of pedi I would like (regular or spa). I told her just regular. And that was all she said. Didn’t bother to ask if the water was ok. what kind of shape I perfer. or the length.

I have been a customer for awhile now and would normally have gave beauty bar a higher rating but lately I feel that the quality and service has decreased. They have always said that walk ins are welcomed, I completely disagree with that. Make sure you call and schedule an appointment because it took me 4 times to walk in and get my nails done. There is always plenty of staff working each day but there seems to be only one person that can do a gel manicure. Very disappointing!!! All I needed today when I went in was ONE nail to be fixed. I just got my set done 2 days ago and one nail completely came off. Not broke or cracked but came off like cheap glued on nails. No one was able to fix it but yet there were 5 ladies standing around with nothing to do. I was asked to come back later.

This has been my go to salon since moving to the area… Clean, reasonable prices, overall pretty darn good. The past 2 visits I’ve had Wendy… Steer clear. I requested my nails to be filed very square and I got VERY round, twice; cuticles were a mess and the polish was uneven. When I commented on them, she grunted at me. Needless to say, I will be asking for anyone but her, if I return.

I have been here several times since moving to Ashburn & I have been very happy with every visit! I don’t know exactly what this salon does differently (and I’ve had a different technician each visit), but the shellac manicures here are the best compared to every other place I’ve tried – they easily last without any chipping or peeling for 2 weeks or more. The salon is always very clean as well.

I am very pleased to have a go-​to spot for my mani-​pedi.

I called to make an appointment a couple weeks ago and the receptionist definitely put a sour taste in my mouth. I was able to make an appointment for that day, even though it was about an hour later than I was hoping, my fault for procrastinating.
Once I got there the receptionist (not sure if this was the same person as on the phone) was pleasant and helped me pick out a polish that was exactly the color I was looking for.
My experience was pleasant and everything was clean. However, I had the bumpiest and most uneven gel manicure I have ever had. I was realy hoping it would last the less than 2 week until my nails got done for my wedding, however they were looking pretty rough by the time my next appointment came around.
I will not come back, too much money for a gel manicure that looked worse than any manicure I could give myself.

Had a mani pedi here this am. Joy was my technician. She’s very sweet and was gentle with me. She also didn’t try and make a whole bunch of conversation which I like.
The pedi was pretty good. She spent a good amount of time on the massage but within the first coat of the polish I said I didn’t like the color. She heard me but didn’t pause or offer for me to get a different one. In her defense I also didn’t ask.
The mani was pretty standard.
I paid $ 45 which is an ok price but think I will go back to my standard salon in Herndon because it’s cheaper and this was not better.
All in all, it was ok which is why I gave it 3 stars.

The Beauty Bar is my go to spot for a pedicure or brow wax. The store is clean and comfortable and service is always great. I have tried a few other spots in Ashburn and I keep coming back to this one as being one of my favorites. I have tried several ladies. I haven’t had a complaint with any. I really liked Ann during my last visit. Prices are reasonable. I do suggest making an appointment because the last few times I have tried to walk in I was turned away or I had a wait. This little secret spot isn’t so secret anymore and lots of ladies come here now. Sounds like other nail salons in the area need to step it up!
