I have been going to Zios for a couple of years. Over the past couple of visits it felt like at was at Cicis pizza. With one of the cooks smoking an electronic cig on the line and not even washing his hands. The service and quality of the food has taken a big drop off. And on my last visit with a cook putting his finger in his ear ad yes not even washing his hands. The service has also taken a big drop off. My sandwich stayed in the shelf for 7 plus minutes. And when the server dropped it of the sandwich tasted like it was put in the microwave.

ZIOSISCLOSED!!! We went on Mon. 01/04/2016 to the Zios in Arlington Texas on Cooper street. All we found was a closed store with signs that the managers could pick up their last checks somewhere or another. That is a big bummer, we used to love Zios and we had coupons for bogo free. Oh well I hope everything goes well for the ex employees.

My hubby and I eat here at least once a week. We like the food(only local Italian place that still carries whole wheat pasta), the flat bread is wonderful! But the service is hit or miss. We have a couple of servers that knows us now(finally after coming in all this time) and we enjoy visiting with them Our biggest complaint is the manager. I’ve never seen a more unprofessional manager anywhere. She flirts with the servers(laying her head on his shoulder!!!), never checks on customers and after a year of going on a regular basis, has never once come to introduce herself(the other managers have) No doubt she knows us(the eye roll gives it away). Its no wonder the servers sit and laugh in the waiting area. They are taking cues from the manager.

We’ve eaten here a few times, but probably won’t again. The food is pretty good, but the service is bad. The servers huddle in the bar laughing and ignore the guests. Even though it isn’t busy you wait and wait for the server to decide to come help you. There is a young hostess with reddish hair who is incredibly rude. It’s amazing that they have this person at the front door. The food isn’t good enough to make up for the poor staff.

The portion size are big enough to share. My food was cold and I have had better alfredo sauce from a jar. Mediocre Italian food at best.

The food was great and the portion side was enough to share. Our server Christian was very attentive and I will definitely be back!

My best friend surprised me to this place for my birthday, it’s kind of hiding if you don’t spot it at first. Good service, but this was a day of literally only two waiters severing two tables; our waiter was really sweet. The only sucky part was bland bread and oil when you expect Italian restaurants to have that conquered no doubt. But my plate was delicious(spicy shrimp & prosciutto), and another weird complaint is when you ask for parmesan cheese they give it to you in a pre-shredded bowl, and me being the neat freak I am I wondered how long the bowl has been there and what it stands next to? Compared to other places that commonly grind cheese and pepper, but other than that would most def come again!

I’ve been here three times and have not been disappointed. Wine and Speciality Cocktails are very reasonably priced. Service is good. Food is really good. Always plenty to take home. The fresh bread and olive oil with spices is the perfect way to start your meal. So yummy that’s it’s hard not to over indulge while waiting for your entrée. Haven’t made it to dessert yet but hope to next time. Much better than Olive Garden and a much nicer atmosphere. Chicken Parm, Chicken Picatta and the shrimp Scampi are all excellent. I’ll definitely be back!

The food was good and looked fresh. My only complaint would be the bread that’s complimentary. It was dry and bland, for the prices of the menu I would expect something better. The food came out fast and the waiter was nice. They tend to take a while to come back to serve you which is why I understand the negative reviews.

The only reason I give this place two stars is because the waitress was nice. I got the spaghetti feast which consists of meatballs, sausage, and grilled chicken with tomato sauce. You judge an Italian restaurant by their spaghetti and meatballs… the most simple yet classic dish, and honestly it was the worst I’ve ever had. Their sauce was very acidic and that’s all I could taste. Won’t be coming back though they have a nice location. How disappointing.

Okay we gave this place another shot for date night. It’s close to home and we get emailed some good coupons and we thought we would try again. Last time we hit the chicken picatta which was tasty and the chicken Alfredo lasagna which was unimpressive. THISTIME I got the chicken picatta because I didn’t like their Alfredo sauce on my previous dish but I preferred my fiancés dish over mine and he got the chicken Marsala. I also had a peach Bellini(not so great). The chicken picatta let me say was ruined by a heavy handed chef with a bottle of capers. The overwhelming taste of the dish was overtaken by those pesky little things. My fiancés Marsala dish was quite tasty. I am beginning to think I should order just what he does since I’m always wishing I had gotten what he did. Needless to say the service was good because they were extremely slow. This place just hasn’t hit the nail on the head for me yet. Third time may be a charm but if not its strike three for me.

I’m surprised this place has a few bad reviews. Everything was great! I came to dine with 16 other girls and our server did an amazing job of taking care of us. When you come in they give you bread and oil for a little snack. Surprisingly, the food did not take long at all to come out. I got to try a few of my friends dishes like the baked ziti, shrimp scampi, and a few others I don’t remember, but everything tasted amazing! I ordered the spicy shrimp prosciutto and loved it. Their entrees are big portions too btw. The Johannesburg Riesling we ordered was also a great wine to go along with everything. I would definitely come back.

WoW! Finally Italian food with Incredible Flavor! Nothing bland here! I was SO Surprised when I took my first bite! At from that moment on… I knew I would be back anytime I wanted Authentic tasting Italian food. My mind was blown away with each Savory bite I took! My wife was thrilled as well, and we can not get enough of Zio’s! The bread is so, SO Fresh and the Marinara Sauce had my taste buds dancing all around. :) The atmosphere was great and the staff was very friendly! One of the Manager’s(Don) even stopped by our table to make sure everything was tasty and to our liking. I left with a Full Belly… and money in my wallet! Great Price & Extremely Tasty!!! Thanks so much Zio’s! We WILLRETURNSOON! :)

This was our third and hopefully last visit to Zio’s Italian Kitchen. We are members of a supper club and about once a year Zio’s enters the rotation of places the group goes. I was hoping that the third time would be the charm on having a good meal at this place but again I left disappointed. The place The place is very nice and looks like you will really enjoy your meal. The service The server we had was ok. He would disappear for very long periods of time. It was not like he was swamped serving other tables because the place was pretty much empty. There were seven of us in our party and as far as I know we were his only table. The food The food is just ok. I had the cheese ravioli over linguini with a red meat sauce. Not what I ordered but close enough. It was ok and didn’t totally suck. I’d had the Alfredo sauce that last couple of times we had been there and it is just not good to me. Not that this place is bad but I’d call them below average. We have WAY too many top notch Italian places in Arlington to settle for below average.

I had a terrible craving for pasta and decided to give this sweet little Italian spot a chance. I was pleasantly surprised by how warm and cozy it was on the inside; definitely not what I expected from an Italian restaurant located in a strip mall. The waitress started off the meal with two fresh loaves of bread and a plate of olive oil with a heaping pile of Italian seasoning for dipping. The bread didn’t look like it was baked long enough. It lacked the crusty exterior a good baguette should have. My boyfriend and I shared the Bruschetta, the Italian Nachos, and the Chicken Piccata. I’ve had a lot of Bruschetta in my day but have never had it served with a Balsalmic Vinegar reduction. I requested for it to be put on the side… and I’m glad I did. It just didn’t work for me. Other than that, it was just okay. The Italian Nachos came to the table piled high with chips, cheese, and Italian meats but left so much more to be desired! We managed to eat maybe a third of it before calling it quits. Very disappointing. However, the Chicken Piccata was delicious. Tender chicken tossed with angel hair pasta in a perfectly seasoned lemon and white wine sauce. Highly recommend. I’m giving this place 2 stars because of the service. When we finished eating, we sat with dirty dishes on our table for about 10 minutes before our waitress came by and checked on us. I actually saw her walk by our table twice: both times were to help tables RIGHTBESIDEUS. I’m willing to give this place another chance. I just hope that my next experience is better.

Huge, huge portions — which I’m perfectly OK with! It’s hard to not compare Zio’s to Olive Garden and Macaroni Grill. I haven’t really been to either in years, but my gut tells me that Zio’s is quite a bit tastier than Olive Garden and has more generous portion sizes than Macaroni Grill. It’s clean and neat inside, and the whole operation seems pretty efficient. Service is polite, and food comes out just when you’d expect it to.
