DONOTPATRONTHISESTABLISHMENT. I placed an order through the Eat24 app(which I love). My confirmation on a Saturday night stated 50 minutes, cool. At 90 minutes I engaged with the Eat24 folks to see what the hold up was and they were told by the restaurant it was out for delivery but the driver was lost. The pizza place never contacted me, never asked for directions, nothing. I contacted the restaurant directly and was advised the driver left 45 minutes prior. The person who answered the phone advised she was new, she was the only person working, and the managers/owners were out of town. But she assured me the food was on the way. I told her I wasn’t paying for food that had been out with a driver for 45 minutes. I canceled my order through the 3rd party and got a refund(did I mention Eat24 is great?!). She advised she would contact the driver and call me right back. No call. Called her again 10 minutes later and was told«we are re-making the food and have a new driver.» 30MORE minutes, no contact, no food. I call again. She acts like we haven’t spoken before. Um, what? Then she remembers. And says«oh they are making the food now.» I have no idea if any food will ever show up tonight or not. Either way, my card has been refunded. Thankfully. But I’ve wasted 2 hours sitting here for food that has never arrived. I could have dined at a 5 star restaurant by now. Also, they have delivered to my home numerous times before so I am unsure why«locating» my condo was such a grand problem tonight. It’s less than a mile and a half from the restaurant! I requested an immediate phone call from her managers as she advised she could reach them remotely. No contact from them either. Shocking Epic fail! Now I see why they have two collective stars on Unilocal.Wish I could give NO stars.

After a long day of sightseeing in D.C., my family was ready to get back to the hotel and crash. We decided to try Pizzoli since we were too tired to go out. My boyfriend and I tried the Pizzoli Special Pizza, and it was pretty good. It wasn’t the best I’ve had, just okay. My mom got the grilled cheese, minus the mayo because that’s just a bit weird for a grilled cheese sandwich. She said it was alright, but the cheese wasn’t very melted. It sufficed for a quick easy meal, not sure if we would order again if we were ever in the area again though.

This place sucks!!! I mistakenly ordered from here when I thought I was ordering from café pizzaiolo :(. I was surprised when they took a while and then even more surprised when the delivery man was rude but once I took a bite out of the horrible circular thing they call a pizza, I knew I had made a huge blunder. These guys have no business calling themselves a pizzeria. Ranks up there as the worst pizza I have ever had. I hate to review a small business but when they clearly are not putting enough effort to offer a halfway decent product I’m left with no option.

There is a reason you never see anyone sitting on their patio and hardly anyone inside. My family ate there one day where there was only 1 other customer. They took our order and then 10 minutes later they came back to ask it again. When the order came out, my husbands was wrong. It became a confusing discussion of if he wanted it or not. He should have just taken the wrong order because then we proceeded to wait another 15 minutes for them to bring it out, while I ate my food. In the meantime, we asked for several things like salt and pepper, napkins etc, and they kept forgetting and I had to re-ask. The food was fine but the meal took forever. Our server was nice but the lack of training at this restaurant is ridiculous. I took the time to e-mail this feedback privately via the restaurants website so they could take this opportunity to improve. I’d like them to be successful in Shirlington because it only improves the neighborhood. They NEVER e-mailed me back… so what’s the point of asking people for feedback if you don’t care? As much as we eat out in Shirlington, I’ll be avoiding Pizzoli moving forward. What a shame. Now I know, if I want a fantastic meal with first class service for the same price as Pizzoli, I can walk down to Carlyle Grand.

AWFUL. horrible pizza and it took the driver almost 2 hours to find my place even though I live 10 minutes away. Idiots. If it were an option I wouldn’t give them a star.

I will start out by saying the majority of my eat-out choices are based on Unilocal reviews which tend to be pretty honest and accurate. However, although many people have rated this place poorly, I believe the reason would be the delivery aspect of the business. I honestly feel this place has the best pizza I have had in the Arlington and maybe DC Region. Very fresh ingredients and super awesome pizza dough. I also enjoy the Greek salad.

Took 2 hours to get my food, in spite of the driver calling almost an hour ago for directions. Could be the best food in the world, but who cares if they can’t deliver? And the driver tried to blame it on traffic. Your restaurant isn’t that far from my house. Never again!

Worst place. Do not go here! First, the delivery guy had the nerve to get lost and ask for directions when I’m less than a mile away. I ordered a chicken sandwich with cheese on the side. There was no cheese with my order. I also ordered garlic knots, which tasted like some overbaked, stale bread from 3 days ago. I called to complain and the so-called manager who supposedly also delivered my food lied and said he put the cheese in. When I complained about the quality he said«I don’t have time for this» and hung up the phone. I called and told his non-english speaking self off. Never ordering from here again. They better hope I don’t go up there in person. Negative 5 stars!

Good: delivery time was good, pizza sliced well like someone else mentioned Bad: Delivery guy couldn’t figure out how to use the buzzer. 4 toppings we got were roasted garlic, pepperoni, bacon, and extra cheese. I could barely taste any of them. Crust unimpressive. No extras like garlic sauce or peppers. All in all, probably the worst pizza I’ve ordered, ever. Grab a DiGiorno.

This is our go-to delivery place when we dont want to cook. I used to love their mushroom ravioli, in my previous gluten-filled food life, and the hubs loves their eggplant sandwich. Never had the pizza.

Horrible pizza! First their crust is not your typical pizza crust, I don’t know what it is, but it shouldn’t be used for pizza. Second the sauce has a very odd taste, kinda tangy maybe. I tried it because the reviews on google maps said it was«THEBESTPIZZAINARLINGTON»…whatever. I grew up and lived in New Jersey for 20+ years and had real pizza there and in NYC. The best pizza place so far has been Pizzaiolo.

Gave them another shot, and called tonight. I was surprised to be greeted by a friendly and attentive lady, who must be new, and made a much better impression.

I ordered from Pizzoli, and thought they would never show up. So I called, and the lady said that the food was on its way. The delivery guy got there 20 minutes later. Now, this was on a Sunday night, so I’m thinking that the food should have arrived quicker, but it took them 2 hours. The delivery man said that the other delivery guy’s car broke down. I probably would have been more understanding if the lady told me this when I called, but she acted like everything was normal. The pizza and wings were super cold and as far as I could tell, nothing special. I won’t order from them again.

What I originally wrote about Pizzolis: F*** the low ratings. Pizzolis is absolutely amazing. Pizza is always hot, fresh, delivered quickly. Excellent crust, fresh and plentiful toppings AND the wings are killer good and spicy. Its hard to find good pizza AND good wings, Pizzolis literally has it all. Update: the above was my opinion last year. They got new owners. Everyone else is right. It sucks now. The crust on the pizza is different(now tastes like Dominos) and the wings have little to no sauce on them at all.

Having just moved to Arlington, we didn’t know anything about many pizza places here… should have trusted Unilocal! Anyway, we ordered the wings and the spicy chicken pizza. –The wings came with the sauce on the side, which was unexpected. The sauce wasn’t very good either and seemed to be the cheap vinegary tasting kind. The wings themselves were decent. –We ordered a large pizza. When we got it, I was shocked that we spent $ 16+ on such a small pizza. On the other hand, it wasn’t good, so maybe we lucked out. The spicy chicken pizza has«Spicy roasted red pepper sauce, mozzarella cheese, grilled chicken, mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes and red onions.» Well they definitely went super heavy on the onions and barely put any of the other toppings on the pizza in comparison. All in all, edible but not at all satisfying and way overpriced. Would not order again.

I’ve only taken Pizzoli Pizza on deliver, but I’ve eaten their pizza at least two dozen times and have found it to be delightful, but I’d encourage patrons to know exactly what to expect. Don’t expect NY or Chicago style pizza — this is its own animal, and is very well done. My standard order is always a large with pineapple, regular bacon, and kalamata olives — so YMMV if you like other items. I can’t speak to their wings, but I can speak to the experience I’ve had. Delivery has always been under half an hour, hot and fresh ingredients(though the pineapples may be canned which I can’t hold against, since pineapples can very well). The cheese is top notch. The resulting pizza is not too greasy, but«greasy enough.» Never soggy, the bottom and surrounding crust is always the perfect amount of cooked, bready and soft. I’ve eaten delivery from every delivery joint in Arlington, and have never had one place hold a candle to the quality of the product I get from Pizzoli. I don’t order delivery from any other place anymore. even if the prices are a little on the high side for the product. I won’t discount the reviews from other patrons here; everyone has different experiences I’m sure, and not everyone eats the same products here. 1 and 2 star ratings are more than just a little harsh for a truly great local joint. Give it a try, and rate it yourself. If you get the same pizza I always get, you’ll probably rate it 4+ too… even if you don’t, you’ll at least recognize that this is no single star establishment.

Jessica G.’ s review is obvious dis-info. Nobody writes a review like that. You must not get out much. I have lived here all my life, so I got you beat 10x in trying pizza in the area 3 out of 10 Ok I got a menu on my door, liked the way the pictures and descriptions looked. I ordered the large 2 topping 10 buck pie. Extra sauce, roasted garlic & fresh mushrooms Domino’s is better and they are just better then suck ass. There was not extra sauce, and the roasted garlic must of been hiding in the soggy dough, as it was hard to find. Sauce 1 out of 10: no flavor, and I mean zero hint of any spice or herb. Was it even made from tomatoes? Crust 3 out of 10: Smelled good, and a few edge pieces was edible, but all in all, soggy and soggy. Roasted Garlic: 5 of 10 Mushrooms: 3 of 10 The best thing they did was slice the pizza, as that was the best separation of slices ever. congrats Ledos(with extra sauce) is my winner. Extra sauce from these guys is a flavor explosion

The chicken fingers we ordered were inedible. They weren’t cooked all the way through and they smelled funny. The spinach artichoke pizza was okay. The chocolate cake was a really small slice, was a little stale and tasted like it had been in the refrigerator with onions and garlic. I would recommend skipping this place and finding somewhere else for delivery.

Always on the lookout for new pizza spots, exploring new waters, WHAT’S WRONGWITHME??? Why don’t I just stick with what works. Anyways, we ordered a pizza, wings and a salad as a litmus test for this(new) place near us, and should have know something was up from the get go. They couldn’t understand us on the phone(nor us them), and after placing us on hold, they were short with us. They also charged the wrong amount to our credit card and had to bring us cash back with the order. That’s never happened to me before. The salad was boring, and came pre-dressed which is a big no-no in my book. The wings were ok, but my wife ordered mild and thought they were too spicy. I like the way they looked, and they weren’t to fatty. Now, the pizza. I’m convinced that the person making this pie has never eaten REAL pizza. There was way too much cheese and hardly any sauce. The dough wasn’t crispy, and tasted too bland for my liking. And even though the ingredients are advertised as «Daily Fresh Cut», they tasted like generic canned variety. Bleh… In summary, order here if you’re looking to be disappointed.
