Why not spend just a little money on upkeep? Food was decent. You’d be packed if the place wasn’t so gross and outdated.

I remember coming here with my dad and being so stoked to raise the flag and eat the delicious food. Though when I came here today for the first time in 15 years, I was apprehensive. I should have listened to my body begging me to turn away, its sense of smell and the gurgles of my stomach questioning the very sanity and willpower of my mind as I powered through bite after bite of natzi prison camp food. I should have listened, the aftermath was horrible, and I will never eat at a panchos ever again. The once bright memory of panchos from my childhood has been forever stained brown with the memory of today’s experience. Shame on you panchos. Shame on you.

Uggh, horrible, nasty, glop! Sick all day long. The food was horrendous but the price was even more insulting! Don’t waste your time or your money! Keep away!

First time visitor after a trip to Adonis Auto Group next door. I had heard about Pancho’s for years from a close friend and previous employee(of this very location in the 80’s). General perspective: The place needs a facelift. There were piñatas hanging from the ceiling and bright yellow walls with turquoise trim. The tableside service was poor. They have a little flag that you are supposed to raise for service, which never worked. The place was really cold inside as others have commented on as well. The cafeteria line was a bit odd for a buffet, but the ladies were friendly. The food was nothing to brag about. Unfortunatly the oil was rancid and affected the fried foods in a terribly unpleasant manner, which included the sopapillas(one of the main reasons for the visit). I’m not a huge Taco Bell fan but would rather end up at Taco Bell before Pancho’s for low cost Mexican food again. It’s less expensive and better quality food.

So yucky! I understand growing up on this place, per the reason my girlfriend begs me to take her here! Our server was very nice. Enough Pepsi and sopapillas got me over the hunger hump!

I went to eat at this Panchos hopeing to find a good experience like Ive had in the past, but this location was absolutely disappointing. When my date and I got here, we thought it was closed because no one was giving us service for at least 5 mins. When someone finally came to help us, the food looked unappealing and the server gave me a chicken enchilada with a piece of mac and cheese on it. Once it was time to pay, they wouldn’t take my card, claiming«It was being declined.» Yet I saw the cashier looking at my 3 digit security code on the back of my card. Which in my opinion is none of her business. I ended up paying in cash, to find out the next day that they had actually charged me twice on my card and charged me with cash. Our waitress was rude and slow with her service. The food was okay but didn’t satisfy my hunger. I felt like it was just a waste of my time and money. Especially since they cheated me and took my money. This place needs new management and better customer service. A better trained staff would help also. I will NEVER be returning to this place again, and I recommend that NOONE goes to eat here.

I drive 30 minutes to this location. They consistently have the best chile relenos, tamales and the green stew is wonderful over rice. Is out of the way but better than the others we have tried.

Go ahead and judge me but I grew up going to Pancho’s, so I’m a life-long fan. The buffet has everything, and it’s authentic Tex-Mex, none of that Taco Bell mess. The infamous«Raise the Flag» motto actually provides fabulous service all the time, and you won’t leave this place hungry, trust me. Lastly, the sopapillas. God almighty. I could eat them for the rest of my life, and whenever I’m near a Pancho’s(which is rare nowadays due to their now-sketchy locations) I buy several dozen. They are that good.

After I ate there I knew I had to write a review. I had never felt that it was my moral duty to do so but this time it happened. I can’t give zero stars or I definitely would. My advice is RUNAWAY! One would think that people get the idea of opening a restaurant because friends and family compliment them on their food or something like that. This is not the case and if it happened, the friends and family were outright lying. I have been here only once, and I will never return again. I just moved to Arlington a couple of months ago so I’m still exploring the area, and a friend dragged me here after seeing it while driving by. The food is nowhere near Mexican food, and I apologize on behalf of Mexican people if you ate here and you thinks this is our food and we are proud of it, because it is not. This is not Mexican food, if you want to try Mexican food, read my other reviews. This was a ‘buffet’ but not really. It is more like a line style of restaurant, where you get to ask a person what you want from the fountains. So you walk by and choose, and if you want something else later, there is waiters for that. You are not free to grab whatever you want. So even when you already served yourself, and took your tray and your drink to your table, for a second serving, you get a waiter and then you feel compelled to leave a tip. This is wrong. I prefer to either being served and then I’m ok with tipping, or to serve myself completely. The place is old and dirty and this part of the service is awful. Ok, too many complaints and I haven’t even started with the food. Now, the food. Nothing was good. I grabbed almost one of everyt item and not one single item on my plate was good. Tamales: Bland. No flavor in the corn dough and there was a very small filling of meat in them. Chile relleno: Horrible. The fried egg around the chile was not seasoned, meaning it tasted like egg. I know how to make chiles rellenos and you are supposed to season the egg with pepper and some spices so that it doesn’t taste like foamy egg. Enchiladas: Nasty. I tried the green, the sour cream and the red. None of them was decent enough. I ate them just because I feel bad about throwing food away and I was invited by a friend, but it was pretty hard to swallow that stuff. The tacos. Disgusting. They put almost no meat in the taco I ordered, and they they threw inside a lot of wet lettuce to fill it up, The salsas: Eww. It was like those salsas from a can. So everything, including the chips, was awful. For 9 dollars you can eat somewhere else and a lot better. I was really surprised by the amount of people that were eating there on a weekday for dinner. My brain can not process how people would eat there a second time.

THISISJUSTONTHEFLAUTA’S. When I was a poor College student, nothing better than stuffing yourself on a cheap mexican buffet on a Saturday night. I can tell you, now that I am older, the only thing that I get, when I go(which is about 3 – 4 times per year) I get the flautas, with sour cream and queso. I’ll eat about eight of them, get my fix and go. Their not horrible…

I got take out here yesterday, during the opening day of Rangers baseball game. Service was slow place, was dead. The girl was really nice and was helpful about menu. food was cheap like 4.99 included two tacos one enchilada, beans and rice, and this greasy fry bread they served with honey. I was a little dissapointed she forgot to pack the tamale. the food was loow quality but it was still good and was like school lunch cafeteria food. The thing I reallly liked most was the mexican fry bread they served I had nothing like it before and they served to with honey and it was piping hot, greasy right through the paper bag it was soo addicting. They gotta put some type of chemical in the food to make you addicted to it. Its a buffet but you pick the combo you want on the menu and they serve it on the plate cafeteria style to you.. Ate the rest later that night after drinking tasted soo good. for a low quality buffet this place is still good. This is one of the few low quality restaurants I been to for mexican but its good.

AHHHHRUNAWAY! I have eaten at Pancho’s before not this location. It was a couple years back, but I had been telling my wife we should go to Pancho’s and we were headed to the one in South Arlington and My wife noticed this one just barely. I wish I would have kept driving… I don’t know if Pancho’s has just fallen through or if it’s just this certain location. That manager was flirting with the way younger workers. The food was totally disgusting and cold. The whole«restaurant» was freezing. They had American food to try to IDK make it better? That was gross too. My Wife was tossing her cookies at 3am on Thanksgiving day. I will not be going here again possibly the one in South Arlington, but definitely not here.

ditto ditto. ate at this location on a very cold day for lunch. it was like they were trying to conserve money by not using the heater — it was literally about 50 degrees inside. first, i don’t like the concept of going through a cafeteria line and being served by someone, i’d rather just serve myself. but the food was not labeled so you really don’t know what you are eating and none of the food tasted good. it was awful — I will never go back to this or any other panchos!

Wow, scary. Run. Utterly filthy, and the food was bad, even for Pancho’s.
