Finally, a legit brewery in Arlington! My husband and I shared two flights, and I liked pretty much every beer they had, which is unusual for me(I love beer — I’m just picky!). The 1821 was awesome, and the ginger saison was delicious and unique. On the darker side, the imperial stout was really smooth and the 1821 dark was great. We talked to the owner, and he was really nice and knowledgeable about his craft. Also, he’s an Arlington local! So, this place is an authentic Arlington experience. New District is definitely worth braving the crowds and the industrial park to check out — or become a regular :)

Went there for opening day on Saturday and it was packed. Glad that Shirlington now has its own craft brewery. They have a wide spectrum of styles available, currently eight taps. I really enjoyed 1821 which is a Belgian style saison. The food truck was a great idea given that they don’t serve food. Looking forward to even more styles and some IPAs. My only complaint is that they are only open on Saturdays.

Cool industrial ambiance, great selection of beers across the spectrum of light to dark. My favorites are American Strong, 1821 dark, ones and zeroes, and whatever they’re calling the English ale. I can take or leave the lighter stuff like their pilsner. Bought a growler as a cool host/hostess gift — definitely well received! Love the addition of foodtrucks in the area — keep ‘em coming guys! Let’s start a Shirlington Friday night food truck festival in the Spring and Summer!
