It would be zero stars if that was an option. They were out of their own beers. The staff bot said«we have Stella and Bud Light». My brain struggled to process that, so I asked«you don’t have any GB beers available?». The Stella and Bud Light answer was repeated with an attitude this time, so I went elsewhere. Don’t bother with this place.

We missed our early morning flight(rough morning + long story, lol) and ended up having to wait nearly 5 hours for the next one. So we decided to treat ourselves to a nice breakfast. We made our way over to Gordon Biersch which was in the terminal next to where we were. Side note: This airport does not make it very easy to get from one terminal to the next! Anyway, we found Gordon Biersch and it was crowded. But luckily a table opened up as soon as we arrived. You seat yourself here and they bring you the menus. I’m guessing that because it’s an airport. the server was rushing at first. But I think once we realized we were basically there to kill time, she slowed it down. I had the steak and eggs and a double cranberry vodka(I told you, it was a rough morning lol) all delicious. The food came out quick and was piping hot. The reason I’m only giving 3 stars is because they really cram the tables in there and with everyones carry on suit cases lining the aisles, there is literally no space to walk or do anything. Fire hazard to the max here. Also, the place is expensive as all get out. I get it’s an airport location, but my goodness! Other than that, everything was fine. Although I’ll add that I’ve never been to a regular Gordon Biersch, but after this… I’m really not enticed to anytime soon.

When I see a Gordon Biersch their craft beers come to mind immediately. Nothing else at GB is worth a visit. So, when I heard from a bartender on Friday that they have none of their signature beers until the following Monday it was an immediate let down! :(It, however, was slightly mitigated by their garlic fries. Hence, a 2-star rating instead of one. Overall, avoid this place like a plague unless being in a can of sardines is your thing.

Out of GB beers. I was really looking forward to having a nice märzen before my flight. As I walked out, the waitress said that they have Shock Top and Bud Light. No thanks. What a joke.

I kindly referred to this restaurant as «Gordon Bitch» and rightly so. Our experience sucked. Now I know some of this has to do with it being an airport location, but there are still a number of things that can be improved, despite being an airport restaurant. Space: Damn is it cramped. They could stand to get rid of a few tables. I know they are trying to get as much business as possible, but is it worth sacrificing a diner’s experience? I don’t think so. We sat at a small table, luggage at our side, and I basically had to have my arms tucked in the whole time because our table was right in front of the Point of Sale system and right next to the kitchen. There wasn’t enough room for our drinks and plates. When we left, all of the waitresses were congregating in one spot so we couldn’t get out. We had to ask them to move so that we could leave. Food: There isn’t much to say. Thankfully, my husband was able to expense our meal since he was on business because if we had to pay for that ourselves, I would have been extremely pissed. I ordered one of their ham and swiss sandwiches with garlic fries, thinking they would at least toast the bread or melt the cheese. Nope. I could have put it together myself at home. And it was $ 11! We would have been way better off going to the Potbellys on the other side of the airport. Atmosphere: You can tell everyone feels really awkward being there. No one was really in a rush since a lot of people were on layover, but being that piled together, having to move even your purse so someone can get by, sharing tables because there is no room, just makes everything uncomfortable. The waitress was also really grumpy, so I didn’t even want to spend more time there than we had to – which is a shame for the restaurant, because we had some time to kill and had it been a better experience, we would have stayed for some beers. She never smiled, basically said«what do you want» as her way of taking our order, etc. Very unpleasant. There are not very many options at this airport, but don’t go here. It’s really not worth it.

2.5 stars would have more appropriate. While although the fries were good, but the garlic was skimpy, the burger was dry. I ordered medium, but in hindsight rare would have been better. GB is still one of my favorites, just not this location. Service was timely and polite.

As a frequent traveler, I appreciate efficiency and better than average food at an airport. This restaurant did not disappoint me… the food is acceptable, the service is OK and the beer is cold which, frankly, is mostly what matters in an airport restaurant… #CBSays stop in for a pint!

Airport food, service standards and attention to details in every regard BUT if creative you can pull off decent in-flight eating options as the shelf is a big drop after you board the plane and enter a real food desert! I swiftly swapped potatoes for fruit, sour dough for wheat and pulled off a sandwich that will be the envy of those around in at 30,000ft.

I had to fly US Airways to go to a conference. Just so you know its always United or Delta and any other airline before I have to go to US Airways. But, I was starving and decided that I should get a bite to eat. I sat down and seeing as I’ve had breakfast at Gordon before I knew exactly what I wanted. The waitress was quick and I ordered my food. She came back with the drinks really really quickly however, no straw. I have a SERIOUS pet peeve with waiter/waitresses not giving people a damn straw. Christ, its not a hard concept. Anyways, after that was taken care of I wait for my food. I understood it was a bit busy but it take a little longer than expected. I got ended up getting a veggie omelet and it actually turned out to be much better than what I had experienced at Dulles and this includes taste and presentation. I was very, very impressed with this airport food. I ate my food and quickly went on to my flight which departed on time(shocking) and arrived early(shocking yet again). From my one, and hopefully LAST experience in this terminal my experience at GB wasn’t bad at all. 3 stars.

If you’re unlucky enough to be stuck in the C terminal of Reagan Airport, this is your best(only) bet for a beer. The glasses are large and the price actually isn’t bad for a beer($ 17 for two beers) but the service is non-existent. Don’t expect to see your server again once you have your beer(God forbid you want another or need to actually make your plane!). The restaurant is extremely small and cramped, but on a sunday night after 8, we were able to find a table for three with no issue. There’s a bar and a tv so you can keep up to date on the latest sporting event.

This isn’t worth it. Granted there is a good beer/wine selection, everything is over priced and the food isn’t special. There are no healthy options– I ordered a turkey Swiss sandwich that was $ 11 and it should have been $ 2. Trader joes carries better, fresher ingredients than this place. Eat before coming to the airport.

So… my flight was delayed, naturally, because US air is awful. But anyway, I needed a drink and this was the closest place. It was super busy so I was seated at the bar. And by at the bar, I mean at a high bar-like table against a wall. I was sat in the corner so I was literally just staring at a wall, but whatever, I just needed alcohol. The bartender was very friendly and served me really fast. I also ordered the garlic herb fries which were really tasty but, beware they come on a huge plate! The main reason I took off two stars is that I couldn’t hear any announcements. I don’t think it was due to the noisy bar, because I was basically on the outside of it anyway, but I wished I was able to hear a flight update. Granted this is most definitely the airport’s fault and not the bar’s, but it would be a reaso not to quickly stop and get a drink.

Yes it is an airport bar. Yes it is crowded but… please don’t overcharge for wines and food if you can’t even give me a plastic plate without dividers for my salad. Plastic may be the rule but don’t make me feel like a child. And shame on DCA for not offering other locations to get a cocktail. That said waitress was adequate, the food dull, and crowded.

It’s an airport Gordon Biersch, what can I say? Food came out quickly and was typical of every Gordon Biersch I’ve been to. Melvin is an awesome waiter. He was quick and anticipated my every need. It’s amazing how such great service can make all the difference.

I had a blast here the other day while waiting for a flight. I only paid $ 10 for a big breakfast and $ 13 per double Maker’s Mark. I met some really fun people at the bar(like any other airport bar) and would definitely return here when I have another US Airways flight. The staff and people around me were great.

Before all the negatives come up, I’m giving 4 stars given the circumstances(i.e. it’s in a busy terminal so you know it’ll be crowded and you might be bumping elbows with your neighbor, server friendliness will be minimal, and you know you’ll be paying a premium because you’re lacking other options). Considering these circumstances my experience was pretty good and definitely among my best airport dining experiences in recent memory. All tables were full and most seats at the bar were too. After about five minutes, my co-worker and I got a table. Our server was there frequently enough, but wasn’t much for small talk and/or smiling. Which really isn’t a big deal to me. I had the Kobe cheeseburger and added some hot sauce. All and all it was pretty delicious. Add in the bonus of the garlic fries and this dish was a definite win during my layover. My co-worker had the crab cake sandwich and he gave it a big thumbs up, seemed pleased with the firmness and amount of actual crab meat. I would certainly consider revisiting if I’m in this terminal at DCA again.

For some reason, I had booked my flight home during the Jets’ Thursday night game against the Patriots(and a key September Yankee game, too boot!) I figured the smart play was to get to Reagan Airport early, and then hang at a bar and watch the game(s). Unfortunately, the terminal’s only bar is ill-equipped to help, sports(and beer) fans! That’s right, Terminal C has one sit-down eatery, and it’s this mediocre chain. When I arrived, the area was a zoo. Standing room only at the bar, no free tables, and no clear system to get a table either. This may not be 100% Gordon Biersch’s fault… but it definitely makes for an unpleasant experience, and the lack of attention paid to the confused crowd at the entrance was an issue as well. Finally, the hostess asked if I wouldn’t mind sharing a table with a couple other randos. Non-ideal, but my rando was nice and ended up buying me a beer(people are good!) Overpriced(it’s an airport, so whatever) drinks took laughably long to come. I asked if they’d put the Jets game on, but the bar doesn’t have NFL Network(!!), so I was out of luck. This was especially annoying, since the game was playing on the screens around the terminal… just not in here. I didn’t order food, so I can’t comment on that… but I was jealous of my rando’s burger. If you have time to kill before your US Airways flight, and want to sit alone at the bar, drink a beer, and watch sports… arrive even earlier before your flight and sit in another terminal. Really, the terminal just needs another bar to give this one some chance(as long as they’d spend the extra 10 bucks per month on the cable sports package). Also, the Jets lost, so that sucked.

This is a nice stop in the airport before a flight. It’s not the fastest restaurant– so maybe not the best stop if you are pressed for time. Beer, wine, and bar options are all decent. The food menu is simple bit has enough options for most: salads, chicken, burgers, soup, and desserts, etc. Service is friendly and fairly efficient. The noise is fairly loud but it is an airport so this is expected.

I like this place mainly because of the location. It’s a great meet up spot to get a cold draft before hitting the nightife.
