I’ve resisted down grading my review, but the Saturday afternoon crew(2:00pm), needs to step up the level of service. I came through the drive through, waited about 3 minutes at the speaker before anyone responded to my hello… then got no apology. I got part way through my order when I was interrupted and told that’s a #5, so I gave my drink selection of a medium diet coke and was then asked again what my beverage was so I said it again. Pulled around, paid, moved up to the next window to receive my order, no one there… then I was handed a large McCafe beverage… I said this wasn’t mine I ordered a medium coke, she said don’t worry I made it a large… like that should have made everything alright. She handed me a bag of food, then while ignoring me realized she was out of place with her orders, asked me for my receipt, as if I had done something wrong… which I gave her, she then asked for the food bag back… Looked confused shoved the food back to me the asked for the McCafe beverage back and handed me my medium diet coke… never once apologizing, and then she left the window with out asking for a return of business. This has never been my experience during the week when I come in for breakfast… that crew is fast and friendly and accurate. Using your own motto, for the service today, I’d have to say…“I’m NOT lovin’ it”. I should add the receipt says go on-line and tell us about your visit… then says: Validation Code… where on the receipt is the Validation Code???

So here I am back again today to this McDonald’s to give it another try. Ordered a Quarter Pounder w/Cheese and asked them net to hold two of the toppings and was up charged for doing so. Are you kidding me?

The play place is extremely dirty, and very hot of the sun is out. The staff is never friendly and frequently mess up orders(no t that I frequent McDonalds, and by orders I mean iced coffee with light cream and no sugar– I ALWAYS end up with tons of cream and sugar… I guess I should just order it black but still, it’s quite frustrating)

We have been regular customers of this McDonald’s for years, and have witnessed a steady decline in service, food quality, and appearance in recent months — echoed by neighbors and other customers today and in recent visits. We typically stop by after church on Sundays and on 2 or 3 other occasions throughout the month. Today, both huge napkin dispensers were empty, the sweet tea was terrible(bottom of the barrel taste at 11:00 am?), we noticed about a dozen burned out light bulbs, and we stood 1st in line for nearly 10 minutes before being waited upon. The place wasn’t that busy. Staff was running around behind the counter and in the kitchen, obviously disorganized, with alarms going off everywhere. Our order was wrong: we asked for a plain ¼ pounder and large fries and got a ¼ pounder w/cheese and a medium fries. We chose not to fight the chaos to complain, and the customer ahead of us had a similar problem(no chicken nuggets, as requested). Frankly, expectations for fast food in general and McDonald’s specifically are already low. They don’t have to do much to meet or exceed expectations. Come on! They can do better!!!

So — my wife and I have never reviewed a fast food place before — basically bc you get what you pay for. HOWEVER — this is different. We tend to eat healthy and stay away — but it was a Monday after work and we were craving McDonalds french fries. We got our bag of food from the drive-thru and as we were driving away — that usual amazing french fry smell was not permeating the car — instead it kind of smelled like burnt poop — I’m not joking. I was making fun of my wife’s McDouble(or whatever you call it) as the prime culprit as I had ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. Anyway — the smell lasted the whole way home and then we started digging into our fries. The fries WREAKED! I’ve never experienced this smell on food before. Not sure how else to describe the smell other than some sort of indescribable nastiness that had then been fried. We emailed corporate bc we were seriously concerned that some kind of tampering, maybe with the grease, had gone on. They offered an electronic apology and assured us that their intentions are that of utmost quality. The glorious smell of the fries is what keeps us going back, maybe once a month, but after this hard to define experience, I’m not sure what to say. I’ve worked in restaurants and I’ve seen nasty old grease, but this smell on the fries was way beyond the nasty old grease issue. I don’t like to throw around accusations — but something was definitely awry with this last experience. We will not be going back to this particular location.

Rude employees! I went through the drive-thru and ordered my food, when I got to the window to get my food, the guy literally just stuck his hand out without even looking my way and shut the window. Super RUDE.

Incapable of correctly creating a plain burger. Cheese, meat, bread… that is all that is needed. Yet every time they feel the need to add everything; if they even give the right burger. This location seems incapable of creating what you ask. I’ve never wanted to create a Unilocal account, but this place is so bad that I felt compelled to tell you to stay away. It’s literally pathetic how incapable this restaurant is.

Waited 15 mins for them to get sauce cup lids, because they refused to give me more then one sauce. Manager sees me waiting and doesn’t do anything about it. Really bad customer service. Being pregnant and on my feet waiting is just terrible. Never again.

Do not eat here. Their employees are poorly trained and are rude. I had to repeat my order 5 times before they finally punched in my three items order correctly. This took about 10 minutes!. When I got my food, I checked to see if my mcchickens were correctly made. They were not, but they went out of their way to blame me for it as well. This store sucks, so do not eat here. Find another McDonald’s.

I feel kind of guilty writing this, because the story is so sad. So I’m on a low carb diet and I was in a hurry a few weeks ago. By 5:00, I was in a bad way, nearly comatose. I ordered a chicken sandwich and zipped up to the District, where I teach a night class. I had a few minutes to quickly eat before it started and was horrified to discover that the grilled sandwich that I had ordered(which was reflected on the receipt) was actually breaded. All that I could eat was some wilted lettuce and a tomato slice. You would have to be on a low carb diet to truly understand the horror of this experience. I tried to fill out the survey on my receipt, but it kept timing out. As my student said, «I’m a vegetarian. All I eat is chicken nuggets at McDonanlds. Everyone knows that that ain’t meat.»

Food is decent 80 percent of the time, however 80 percent of the young employees there are rude and I feel like I have to be rude as well to get what I want done along with the respect a customer deserves, I went there at around 10 pm 4÷3÷14 and a young dark skinned black male was working the drive thru. The first thing he asked me was… What do you want to order? I was bothered already, but I let it slide. I get to the window and I said please… Thank you. Just trying to be courteous as I speak and this kid had the most disgusting attitude I have ever seen, not 1 time did he ever use the same courteous words that you expect to hear when doing business. This dude even had nerve to roll his eyes like an immature girl. This area in Arlington is not so good for fast food so I will be back there, but just be prepared to deal with rude employees. I will be rude as well next time, and suggest anyone that goes there to be ready. I will BTW …the kid is not the first rude one I’ve seen there, he’s just the worse, he shouldn’t even have a job seriously.

This place needs help. Professional help. Rudest and the most disgusting McDonald’s in the Arlington area. Workers are ignorant to the menu, rude to Customers like myself, they don’t even give people the right order… I mean what am I paying for ?? Manager 905 was completely of duty while she was complaining how«BUSSY“she was and how she could not take everybody’s orders. They need more training and educated employees. I will never go back to THAT McDonalds.

I go to this place because it’s near my school and one of the few places that I can actually park in a lot on my way to campus. Today was over 93 outside and the restaurant was hot and yucky inside. Another commenter mentioned it was very cold in there during the winter, so I am thinking they do not like to use heat or AC. The two stars is only for the fact that I could order without confusion or blank stares – you can communicate with the order takers here. And they called out my number nice and loud, which was a nice touch. However, the food was literally thrown together. My burger, when I took it out, had little pieces of onion sticking out of it every direction. There were the ends of pickles, the nasty part, stuck to the outside of the burger, and the cheese was not put in the middle. That may sound trivial, but when I picked it up, the lopsided cheese was sticking to the container, and I lost half the cheese because of that. The fries were fresh but had no salt on them whatsoever so they tasted like cardboard. The bathroom smelled funky, I am guessing because the whole seating area by the bathroom was easily 80 degrees. Inside it did look a little disheveled but typical for a fair McDonald’s. Ultimately, I will be looking for another place to run in and grab lunch.

Nearly froze to death here. Colder inside this horrible McDonalds than outside! It was 37 degrees this morning. Cold for DC, not horrible. Went inside in my suit. Had to go back out to the car to get my full winter overcoat in order to be able to eat in the«dining room.» The fan was on so it felt COLDERINSIDETHISMCDONALDS than outside at the end of November. I should have eaten outdoors in the 37 degree cold. The staff(pleasant — only saving grace) were all wearing warm clothing inside. So the operator must have decided that HEAT is a luxury they will not afford. This was not a one-off bad day. I hope HQ read these reviews. I generally give high ratings. There were only one or two older people eating their breakfast. You often see lots of retirees at a McDonalds in the morning early reading the newspaper — nobody can loiter here given the freezing conditions inside. Why not put spike on the seats — like they do for park benches? Wow. This McDonalds should lose its franchise. I don’t type these words casually. Won’t hit this place again any time soon.

Terrible. Cold food, jumbled orders, problems galore. Incredibly mismanaged. Today, my wife asked for large fries and large shakes in addition to other food. She paid with a card. Small shakes and small fries were delivered and server had no idea how to fix the problem. Manager was called and did nothing to fix the problem! And fries and burgers were cold. We usually go to the more distant but better run McDonald’s at Wilson and George Mason. Only here today because that McDonald’s is being rebuilt.

If you love the Three Stooges come see the 11pm staff. The only thing missing is Moe which is sad since someone should be in charge.

Your run of the mill McDonald’s, but with a germ infested indoor playground to draw in all the families and homeless people in the area. I’ll give them credit for trying to speed things along by positioning mobile order takers up in the drive thru line, and while service is fast it is OFTEN inaccurate. Sometimes forgetting smaller items like a straw, spoon or napkins. Other times they omit food items you’ve ordered. You always have to check your order, which is a pain in the butt and offsets their attempts to be efficient and fast. PS — I recently asked the order taker if they had Coke Zero. «No, only Dr. Pepper.» I tried to explain that those were totally different things. She didn’t get it. Let’s just say McDonald’s won’t be a starter job for that young lady.

Pretty good location for McDonalds. Service is usually pretty quick. Main benefit: this location’s dining room is open 24 hours, so all the residents nearby can patronize it late at night without having to hop in a car(a benefit after nights with alcohol).

I’ve been to this location many times in the past. During the day, they seem to know how to keep things moving and they have a lot of business to show for it. The evenings, however, are another story… On two occasions, I have found the staff at the drive through window short changing me on my order. Once, they forgot the apple pies I ordered with my meal; another time, they gave me the wrong size fries. These aren’t federal offenses, but it’s always annoying to have glitches in the drive through. Tonight, was unfortunately my last visit to this location. I arrived at 11:30PM and it appeared that only two people were working inside. I ordered and proceeded to the pickup window. There, I waited for a minute or two while they put my order together. That’s when I saw it, clear as day,… a roach crawling across the counter of the drive through window. It took me a moment to register what I was looking at, but there was no mistaking it. As the server brought me my food and handed me the bag, I pointed out the offending creature. She made a terrible face and took a napkin to dispatch the beastie. I was glad to see the quick action by the crew, but I’m disappointed by what I saw. Typically, if there is one roach in plain view, it means there are many more you can’t see. In addition to my review, I have submitted on-line feedback on . I’ll see what McD Corporate has to say and will update my feedback if warranted. I’ve been a loyal McD customer for nearly 4 decades and I don’t think that will stop — but this location is off my list.
