Came here with a friend before we had to attend a meeting at UTA one morning. At first, we weren’t sure whether if we could just sit down since there was no one at the door, but someone yelled to us that we could sit anywhere, so we did. I could definitely feel the vibe in here, and the homeliness. It took a little while for us to place our orders, but, when the food came out, we were satisfied. I got the Southwestern Omelette(I think that’s what it was called), and for the price I paid for it(~$ 8), it tasted very good. Definitely not the best however. My friend ended up getting waffles, and when I picked up the tab, it came out to be $ 20(with tax & tip combined). Not a bad price for two people, who also received drinks too. Pretty«A-OK» place.

I was not a fan of this place at all. My friend and I wanted to try some place new, so I suggested this place since I love giving small businesses a chance. Maybe we should’ve just went to iHop. It took them a good 10 minutes to even greet us at the table and get our drinks order. They weren’t even busy at the time, maybe had 3 – 4 tables. I looked on the Unilocal beforehand(of course) and saw people saying good things about the fried catfish. I ordered that along with a side of buttered corn and mash potatoes. The catfish was too salty, the corn was flavorless, and the mash potatoes lacked seasoning. It seems like they used all the salt on the fish and had none left to put on the sides. I had a hard time even finishing my food. My friend just ordered coffee, and she commented that it was watery. The actual inside of the fish was cooked right and tasted okay, so I gave this place another star. You won’t be able to spot this place from Cooper. There’ll be a sign, and the actual restaurant is behind a building. You also pay at the front when you’re done, so don’t expect them to come by with a check. We learned the hard way just sitting there waiting haha.

A good place to have some breakfast! Not sure why they call in Main Street Café, since it ain’t on main street, and it’s kind of hidden and easy to drive by it without noticing it. Unilocal reviewers got me here and I’m glad they did. It was nothing fancy or unique when it came to the meal itself. A hole in the wall establishment managed by some nice people.

Can I give this place 10 stars??? In all seriousness, this is one of the most local and family friendly establishments around town. The staff is family and treats you like family, they are very nice and just makes you want to keep coming back. The menu ranges from simple breakfast to more hefty lunch foods. I have become a regular at this place and the owner makes an effort to remember you and your orders! She knows what I am going to order and brings me extra limes without me having to ask, perfect example of how all businesses should be. If you go someplace enough it would be nice to at least be recognized. Okay let’s get to the food. The fried catfish is the one thing to get for sure. I get it every single time I’m here. The pieces are HUGE and their tartar sauce is the best I have ever tasted anywhere. I have tried fried catfish all around and this is the best one hands down!

It is difficult to find without GPS. Nothing to look at, but the food was reasonable and very fresh and hot. I loved the home fries. It is not high brow, fancy food, but it was good eating.

I remember my uncle taking me here on Saturday mornings when we moved to Texas and honestly I forgot about this gem for years. You have to really look for the sign to find it– its behind a large building and leaning against some shady warehouses. When I first moved down here the place was run by an older Taiwanese married couple and the cook was an older black guy– and he was hilarious! Every time we walked in he would smile and start cooking my uncles usual plate– he always got the chopped steak and eggs. He would personally bring out our plates and chat it up with my uncle. Now its two sisters running the front of the house and new cooks– but it take 3 people in the kitchen compared to old school who used to be here. The servers are on point– always. I never have to ask for refills and its always with a please, thank you, and a big beautiful smile. Anyway– food. its a typical greasy spoon. They have lots of specials– tons of food for 5÷6÷7 bucks. The omelets are gigantic and can easily be shared. Most of the plate come with«hash browns” — but don’t expect the shredded potatoes you usually get– these are more like chunks of potatoes that have been pressed on the flat top full of garlicky/onion flavor to make one giant potato disk. it still flakes apart into chunks– so don’t think its a mashed potato patty lol. I enjoy the French toast every once in a while as well. I’ve never had anyone I brought here not enjoy the food– its very comforting. The homemade biscuits are jamming– about the size of a grown mans fist– always warm and fluffy. Again– the prices are a steal for the amount of food you get. Help me keep them open :)

Main Street Café is a go to for a good, cheap breakfast. A couple of(good) oddities: The bacon is usually very cooked, but thick and flavorful It is a family owned business, and at times very high volume. The service staff/family have owned the restaurant a long time, and aren’t very chatty. They get down to business. I prefer it. You do pay up front, they leave the ticket and they don’t mention that usually. When they never come back you realize it. They close at 6 most days, I believe. Certainly a breakfast and lunch place. They have homefries but not hashbrowns, which are awesome. The lunch is good but breakfast is where it is at.

Would have given 0 stars if I could. 1st time at this establishment and I sit in a corner booth. Only to be told to move because the booth is for four people. The clincher is… I was moved to a table that seats four to allow a family of ONLY four(same ethnicity of owner) to sit in the booth I was moved from. Later he tries to explain that table was reserved(no sign) & the other family arrived before me(no one was in front of me when I walked in & I’d been sitting at table for 5 minutes). Don’t know if he was being racist or what. But what I do know is that I will NEVER return.

This place is so hidden! I drove past it every week for over 7 years before I ever tried it. I was confused about its name seeing as how it’s hidden on Cooper and not Main Street. haha Anyway, it has an old family diner type feel to it. Nothing flashy. Very friendly service. They checked up on us a few times. I’ve only had the breakfast, and I thought it was pretty flavorful. I only like bacon if it’s crispy and sure enough it was deliciously thick and crispy!(some people might think it’s over cooked though) The portions are huge and the prices are really cheap! There’s a breakfast special for 5 something, and its a full meal! My coworkers didn’t eat lunch because they were still so full from our breakfast! It’s been a few weeks since I’ve visited, but I’ve thought about coming back for the bacon a few times. I’ll be back soon to give it another shot(: Tip: You pay at the counter

Love this place. The restaurant is family owned so everyone there is very attentive w a smile on their face and super nice even at their most busiest time of the day. My food always comes out fresh and delicious. Today I got the omelet w ham, bacon, and sausage with home fries and bacon on the side. Make sure to let them know you want your bacon and homefries crispy. Oh, and their french toast is amazing! Highly recommend this restaurant for a good brunch in Arlington! Might be difficult to find though bc of their small sign. Enjoy!

You can miss Main Street Café in a blink of an eye while driving down Cooper Street. It’s off the road and the sign isn’t that big. I have always been here for breakfast. It’s pretty good and different if you want to try another restaurant. The pancakes are pretty good! They have homemade pies. I will come back one day for pie!

Great service, decent food(very good breakfast), & good diner atmosphere. This place used to be my breakfast/reading spot but I stopped frequenting it after moving. I recommend the breakfast special(full meal for $ 5.75). They also have number of omelette and pancake/French toast options and a few kids options. Lunch is not as good as breakfast. If you are here with friends foe lunch and the special doesn’t sound appealing, opt for the burger(it’s nothing extraordinary but it’s stomachable).

My mother recommended this place to me, I had never heard about this place before so I went and had lunch with her her today there. I ordered the club sandwich with fries and an order of buscuit sand gravy and she ordered the chicken fried chicken. The portion were large and the flavor was pretty good, the prices were the highlight, so cheap and so good! Will definitely be going back in the future! The waitress was super nice and asked a few times if we were doing good, the customer service was great!

Main Street Café is tucked away in the back parking lot of another building off Cooper St. How it got its name or stays in business, I have no idea. Either way, I’ve been eating here for years and love it. There’s both breakfast and lunch. Lunch is good, but I have a penchant for eating breakfast all day, so I get breakfast most of the time. The omelets are very good and the home fries are great. The coffee isn’t the best, but it flows as much as you could need. Prices are just right. Service is very good and is family run. Consistent and friendly.
