Amazingly delicious salmon and couscous, breakfast sandwich(homemade bun), and bloody mary! Service spectacular. Food amazing. Prices reasonable. Environment serene. Definite new favorite!

The food was great. It has a small dinning area within a small hotel. The service is something you would expect from a fine dinning restaurant. The Amuse-bouche was a sashimi-graded ahi tuna. The pork shank appetizer was wonderful, and the potion size is well over our expectation. The entrees were really good.

My sister and I had brunch here this morning. It was delicious. The meal started with a plate(or two) of mini muffins and whipped butter. Then, I had the almond crusted trout with beurre blanc, snap peas, and grape tomatoes. The fish was crispy on top and the portions were generous. My sister had the chicken and waffle with cherry bacon maple syrup. The chicken and waffle were a perfect mix of savory/sweet. We both had the bottomless mimosas which my favorite flavors were the passionfruit/strawberry and the grapefruit. Service was excellent: our waiter, Chad, was very attentive and helpful. The atmosphere was delightful: situated in the downstairs level of a bed and breakfast.

Soo this definitely is not the kind of restaurant I frequent haha but I must say that I really enjoyed my experience and will forever cherish my dinner there! The outside is the epitome of fancy! Beautiful mansion that was converted into a bed n’ breakfast type of place with an adjacent spa. My friend had driven by the place multiple times, and being intrigued by the gorgeous garden, had her eye set on trying the place out. We «researched» the menu beforehand and honestly were a little bummed by the $$$, but the appetizers and lunch menu are A LOT more affordable. Now for the experience: warm, cozy and welcoming to say the least! Nice hardwood floors and interesting antique décor, fit for 17th century aristocrat haha, ok well maybe not, but really. Our server Luis was very enthusiastic and even took the time to explain each dish to us haha it was like he translated the menu into English for our proletariat-selves ;) He was very personable and patient with us! The complementary appetizer was an exquisite crab, cheese and spinach puff pastry. It was described as a «palate cleanser» which I thought was interesting because it alone would’ve been heck of a comfort food meal if it were larger! We ordered the tomato and mozzarella salad, the pecan crusted crab cakes, and ahi tuna tacos. The tomato mozzarella salad was pretty average in taste, but PLENTIFUL. Definitely could be a meal itself. The slices of mozz were my favorite part. The pecan crusted crab cakes didn’t really taste like pecans at all, but were very tender and came with an arugula salad and some kind of crispy topping. The crab cake sauce was excellent. Again the portion size would be perfect for a light lunch. Now the ahi tuna tacos had to be my favorite of the three! Very interesting take on a taco — it was very Asian! It had a crispy fried wonton-type shell and raw sashimi tuna pieces! Loved them! It was like a crispy piece of sushi minus the rice and seaweed! The greens on top were perfect and the sauce had a slightly spicy edge! The desserts are really what pushed it over the edge!!! Eating lighter portions to save room for dessert was a GREAT idea! We ordered the strawberry bread pudding, chocolate mousse, and white chocolate cheesecake. My friends and I agreed that the chocolate mousse was the favorite. The light mousse is flanked with a chocolate crust and a really nice cream-marshmallow-like top! It was a perfect hit of chocolate with an lightly sweetened cream layer on top! I would honestly just come back for that alone with a goood cup of coffee. The white chocolate cheesecake was great, but nothing out of the ordinary. The strawberry bread pudding was an intimidating large loaf haha! It was HUGE. But I think it could be a good breakfast strangely enough. It was a little dry for my taste and didn’t have any fresh strawberries on it. It had some type of strawberry sauce. If it were a bit more moist, more pudding-y and piping hot, I probably would’ve liked it more. I definitely want to come back for brunch!!!

Great service and food! We went there for brunch and it was definitely worth it. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas so lots of chances for photo ops.

Restaurant 506 is located within the Sanford House Inn and is an absolutely fantastic dining experience. Came here for thanksgiving and was extremely pleased with the choice as soon as I walked through the door. This place is gorgeous, homely and puts a heightened focus on customer service. The food served was essentially a fixed thanksgiving menu complete with an appetizer, main entrée and a dessert. Each and every dish was cooked nearly to perfection and was promptly delivered to the table with a smile on their face. The server was kind and friendly from the upon arrival all the way until departure. Overall, This place is a highly recommended and likely one of the best dining experiences in Arlington. Pros– Menu Thanksgiving Service Location Ambiance Décor Portions Parking Homely feel Wine list Chef greeting Walking distance to AT&T stadium Cons– A tad pricey

I am a regular patron at Restaurant 506, and every detail there is always perfect. Ambiance, service, food, value… they offer it all. Although most of the time I go there for the weekend brunch, I’ve tried dinner and a special event there(cooking class), and the experience is always consistent.

Have driven by The Sanford House in Arlington many times and then read about their Wine Pairing Dinner so I made reservations for our anniversary. It is was great! We were greeted at the door, flowers that I had ordered were on our table. Wines and food were excellent! What a surprise to have this place in Arlington!

I had lunch there with a friend for the first time back in August and it was a lovely experience. Food was delicious, service excellent and the atmosphere is delightful. Now looking forward to taking 3 other friends there next week. A real treat.

The ambiance was very quaint. The house is very cute. The parking is limited next to the establishment, but additional parking is available across the street. The drinks were good and the food was pretty decent. Not bad, but my dish didn’t wow me. The rolls we were given were delicious and definitely a highlight. I had the spinach and bacon frittata which I thought was decent. My boyfriend had the chicken and waffles which he enjoyed and my daughter had the peaches and cream French toast which she loved. Overall, not a bad place if you’re in the area. It was very affordable.

So much potential and just no delivery! Quaint little house, which is a bed and breakfast too. Nice furnishings, wonderful dining areas and great service. Looks like an amazing getaway or a fabulous place for a party or a wedding, as long as the food isn’t included. Five of us dined here, four ordering from the Restaurant Week menu and one from the main menu. Coffee was good, hot and plentiful. Water glasses kept full. Little rolls(room temperature) with soft butter kept some of us happy! Started with a complimentary single shrimp, served in a small glass bowl. Three liked it, one didn’t and I abstained. Starter course for one was the pan-seared scalloped, three for $ 12. Small in size, average, not great. RW first course was the butter lettuce wedge salad, with carmelized onions, bacon, blue cheese crumbles and heirloom tomatoes. Very small serving size, seriously three leaves of lettuce, two grape tomatoes and a sprinkle of blue cheese. Two of us loved the salad and two hated it! Mine had about one teaspoon of non-descript dressing and lacked moisture and flavor. Small scoop of palate-cleansing raspberry sorbet served and enjoyed. Nice touch! Three RW entrees were the half brick chicken, with undetectable jalapeño apricot glaze and smashed potatoes. Chicken was either dry and chewy or pink, as in bright pink. Served bone-in, which is virtually impossible to eat. Came with dry red-skin potatoes and one carrot and three asparagus spears. Clear winner here was only the asparagus. Another RW entrée was the Veal Oscar, served with pappardelle pasta and the same four veggies. Good, but not great. Regular menu entrée was the almond crusted trout, served with wild rice and ginger red pepper fondue. Fish was passable, rice was bland and no evidence of the fondue. Dessert for four was the brownie, topped with ice cream. Individual rounds of a piping hot, fudge brownie crowned with a small scoop of generic vanilla ice cream. This was the best part of the meal! As we chatted pre-dinner, all of us mentioned how we’d heard they served a Sunday brunch and made tentative plans to return. After dining, we all agreed to take it off of our dinner rotation for good. Friends dined here last year for RW and liked it so much they returned, and I am curious to find out what they ordered as none of us would try it again!

My wife and I have been meaning to check out this restaurant for a while now. It is part of The Sanford House Inn and Spa( ) which we also have yet to experience. After the meal we took some time to hang out in the courtyard under a nice gazebo. The food & service were both great. The chef really does a great job on his dishes. The menu changes every so often as you would expect with any good restaurant with a good chef. My wife ordered an amazing chicken and waffles with cherries and bacon while I opted for the crusted trout with shiitake mushrooms and vegetables. Price point with tip(no drinks) $ 38. My biggest takeaway here is that this is a great place for a really classy meal right in downtown Arlington. Very convenient.

After having lived in Arlington for three years, I finally made a reservation and took my wife here for a lunch date. They were almost full(impressive for a Wednesday at noon) but we were immediately seated and received great customer service. What we ate: Garlic Yeast Rolls — Fresh out of the oven, just a touch of salt on top. Wonderful Spicy Corn & Dungeness Crab Chowder — Bacon isn’t in the name, but the bacon is the best part. Worth a try! Shrimp Tempura — Advertised with a «spicy chili sauce». This was awesome. It had a spicy bite to it, but it was just one notch above subtle. Spicy enough that you knew it was spicy, but tame enough that I still appreciated the other tastes. I’d call it perfect. Signature Salad — Very good vinigrette. My wife ordered it without the berries and watermelon and it came out with them. We pointed it out and they brought a brand new on in under 5 minutes(ours was actually made properly, but a different wait person grabbed it and took it to a different table without realizing). Fillet of Atlantic Salmon — This was my wife’s dish and I don’t remember the adjectives that she used, but she cleaned her plate, so that tells you all you need to know!

My husband and I decided to go to brunch one day with my sister. Since she lives in the Arlington area, she suggested Restaurant 506. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised that it is also a Bed & Breakfast! We looked a little lost, but a server kindly directed us to the hostess and we were seated rather quickly.(We didn’t have a reservation.) This place is such a hidden gem! The rooms are very quaint and charming. It reminded me of being in a fancy English house and we were there for high tea. We sat near the window and was greeted by our waiter. We ordered a few cocktails and ordered our food. Here is what we ordered(and we will probably be coming back soon for more!) I ordered the crusted trout. THISIS A MUST-HAVE. I was blown away by the flavors and only wish that I could have some right now! My husband had the crab cake benedict. Of course, you cannot go wrong with crab cakes. It tasted amazing. My sister had the pulled pork benedict and that was fantastic as well. Very flavorful and moist.(I know some people have a problem with that word.) Overall, the food was phenomenal and the prices were not bad. My only complaint is that it isn’t closer to home!

I’ve driven past the Sandford House for years and I knew in the last 4 – 5 that it was a B&B. I had nno idea however about Restaurant 506 which is open to the public. I stopped by one Saturday morning to get a gift certificate for some friends and noticed the dining room was full, more than it would be for just regular guest and the person helping me told me they were open for brunch. I love brunch so thought it would be nice for some of the girls to get together after Sunday service. The place is so charming. The dining room or rooms would be differnt rooms in an old house and we were seated in what I would think would be the parlor since it had a beautiful fireplace. We had a reservation and although a few minutes late we were seated immediatly. We were cheerfully greated by our server and she went over the menu. One thing she did forget to mention was the special for that day as we heard another server discribe it to his table. No worries I believe we were all satififed with our meal. I had the Bacon & Spinach Frittata the eggs were very fluffy and cooked perfectly. The spinach was crispy like the bacon and served on top with potatoes and a wonderful pesto vinigrette. There were so many pleasing options to choose from and we were served warm mini-carrot muffins. It was just a wonderful atmosphere for brunch and I cannot wait to return to try other dishses.
