This airport food place had rude service and limited food choices for breakfast. The beef shawarma was served in large, DRY chunks and devoid of any good flavor. Meat was not tender. Lemonade was too sweet. Worse yet was the manner in which I observed them being rude and short with customers. To top it off, the guy at check out said, «I wouldn’t mind if you left a tip.» So here is my tip: avoid this place.

As I mentioned before, this spot definitely has less greasy food, but today’s shwarma breakfast sandwich was super dry with very odd eggs. For $ 8, I’m not a fan. I’m going to find a different breakfast spot next time.

Wanted protein packed breakfast before the flight so decided to give this place a try. Beef schwarma is so dry! I couldn’t swallow without it hurting my throat. All the sauces are smushed on one corner and made the bread soggy. Terrible! I saw what other customers ordered… it didn’t look any better than mine(French fries looked pretty dry). Don’t bother asking the staff to do anything for you. A lady next to me asked them to put the sauce on the side and not in the schwarma, the person taking the order nodded her head but proceed to put the sauce in there anyway. Go to next door crepes store and get their omelette instead(I can’t be sure of their taste but at least it’s made fresh in front of you).

3.5 stars The food must have improved since the previous comments since it was good, not great, and filling. I had the falafel bowl with rice. Not sure why people are complaining about the price, it’s airport food what do you expect? Anyway the only downside I would say is the wait time for the food. If you are pressed for time go somewhere. We were the only people who ordered and it must have taken almost 10 minutes for the food to arrive. Overall, it’s a welcomed addition to the food offerings in terminal B.

Yah. This place is terrible: food isn’t good, service is slow, blah blah blah. But how can you mess up coffee? A small coffee costs 2.95+tax. When I ordered one, they filled it half way. Seriously — half way for a 2.95+tax coffee. I asked for it to be filled all the way and the guy gave me a look like I was crazy. It is also the weakest coffee I’ve seen… EVER. I’m serious. I can see the bottom of the cup when it is full because the coloring is so weak. When I watched him pour in more coffee into the cup when it was half full, it looked like he was pouring water into it – when I asked him if it was water he said it wasn’t. It also tastes like dirty water. Gross. 2.95+tax. There are limited coffee options in terminal B. Don’t be tricked into getting coffee from this place just because there are so few options.

Disappointing, staff isn’t handling busy day the food is cold and the vegetables old. They aren’t keeping up the Lebanese Taverna name.

Prices are what you’d expect for a restaurant in the airport. If you want something healthy it’s a good choice. I ordered the beef hummus platter and it was really filling for $ 10. It came with hummus beef vegetables and pita bread. I asked for a beer and he said its either $ 8.99 or $ 10.99 for a bottle so I passed on that. Overall my food was good given the options in the terminal.

I was surprised to find food this good in an airport terminal. I had the falafel platter. It came with pita, 4 falafel, rice pilaf, a small salad, and hummus. It was enough to make a very large and very delicious falafel sandwich. Is it overpriced? Sure! But it’s in an airport gate. I would definitely eat here again.

I got the beef shawarma plate. The beef was almost inedible. The vegetables were fresh, crisp and tasty. The hummus was plain, but fine. The bread was warm and fresh. I won’t hurry back.

A fresh alternative to the burger and doughnut options at the gates. The hummus with fresh vegetables is very flavorful and filling. It was quick to go through, order and check out. Tasty!

The struggle is real! My chicken shwarma, fires, bottled water and one glass of wine was THIRTYDOLLARS. The shwarma was good, but I asked for no tomato and surprise, surprise, it came with tomato. The fries aren’t worth the 4 add on, they are standard bar fries with a sprinkling of seasoning. The chianti was good, chilled but $ 11. Oy.

This is a pretty decent spot to grab some food if you are flying out of Reagan. I liked the Chicken Shawarma dinner. It is pricey, but that’s how it is at airports. They also have a lot of other options if you are stuck there for awhile(desserts, candy, chips, etc)

AWFULAWFULAWFUL. I got a beef schwarma with fries which ended up being about $ 15.50 so very pricey. What I got was a cold piece of bread with cold beer inside that was tough and dry. I barely could chew the sandwich it was so tough. The fries came unseasoned and bland. This is the worst schwarma I have ever had. Avoid this place at all costs.

Thursday, 11:30AM. Quickie: — Food quality * Customer service + Hygiene * Turnaround + Menu options And then??? Management is still learning how to operate Lebanese Taverna(LT) Express at the airport. The different parameters is challenging the staff here. Unfortunately, my food was not prepared properly(too salty, overcooked, or not at the sufficient temperature). I like LT so I’ll visit this location later to see if they’ve adjusted to the airport environment. ********** Constructive comments: *Do you compost? *Source ingredients?

Overall: This is an airport location, so it definitely needs some improvement. The food is okay, but not worth the price. Service: The person taking the orders is polite and fast. The people at the counters try to move as fast as possible. The service could be a little better but they are polite. Food: I ordered the falafel bowl. It comes with rice, falafel, pickled onion & tomatoes, and some herbs. It also comes with pita bread on the side. The falafel was a little too crispy but tasted good. I was disappointed at the quantity. I only had 4 small ones. Everything tasted good, but nothing was spectacular. I didnt finish it all. There was a sauce on the falafel that was really tasty. I also ordered the Mediterranean fries. They were okay but nothing special. The Mediterranean seasoning was light. Price: Of course it’s way overpriced. I paid $ 16 for my meal and it didn’t include a drink.

1. Overpriced 2. No service. There were five workers behind the grill. I was standing there for a few minutes while they glanced up at me and didn’t say a word. I went to the cashiers to ask if I could order here. One cashier said yes because she understood that no one was helping me. The other cashier said«No you can order back there.» Then they both were going back and forth in hushed voices wether the people there were helping or not. Obviously not, because after me, another three people came to order at the cash register. 3. Hummus tastes like the ones you can find in the supermarket. Too salty and not«real.» 4. Barry any stuffing in the grape leaves. Seriously, it’s all leaf and no rice. Also looks hastily rolled. 5. Measly portions(see #1). $ 15 for a mezze platter that should run you less than $ 8, even at the airport. Small piece of pita bread, which was so hard I had a hard time ripping off small pieces. Gross. 6. Bad packaging. I held my bag upright and still olive oil and juice poured out everywhere. There is no place to sit by this place, so I had to sit by my gate and please message back on another seat. When I lifted the bag there was residue all over the seat. Do not place their plates on your lap! Will not come back.

It’s not just that this place is slow… It’s just bad and the owners should be embarrassed. I ordered the chicken shawarma hummus which looked like big juicy pieces of chicken on the menu pic and said was accompanied by warm pita bread. What I got was dry crumbs of chicken that looks like they were scraped from the waste pile and a dry cold hard pita. The cashier was thoroughly confused when I tried to order wine from the menu. I paid over $ 11 for probably the worst red wine I’ve had at an airport– worse than the crap they serve in the plane. Seriously Abi-Najm family: you should be embarrassed by this location.

No issues at all with the service at this unusual food court offering at the DCA B gates. All the girls smiled at you and the food was ready to go in less than 5 minutes. The platters are somewhat expensive even for airport food at an average of $ 10. I had the H3 platter which comes with a dollop of hummus, a scoop of extremely salty and dry chicken shreds, a few scattered carrots and celery slices and one large pita that took up most of the container. It became obvious about half way into the meal that my blood pressure wasn’t going to handle the sheer amount of sodium poured into the meat and hummus. For such a quick turnaround, nothing in my lunch was above lukewarm. Flavors were okay but unmemorable. Pretty disappointed with this restaurant as well as Taylor. I guess I’ll have to stand in line for Fuddruckers.

Love LebTav, but this airport location is unacceptably slow. My sandwich was a standard menu item and took 20 minutes. A woman in front of me had been waiting half an hour. A large number of people working there, but very poor organization and skills.

Overpriced, slow for an airport, WAAAAAY too much salt. I ordered a breakfast shwarma with beef and egg and actually tasted neither because the spread and bun was so salty. Never thought I should check Unilocal before eating at airports, but lesson learned

Interestingly enough, I liked the food at this airport location than I liked it at the restaurant itself. I find that somewhat surprising because the kitchen they have here at this location is very small and less equipment. I just don’t get it. Back to the food part though, I had the Chicken Shawerma twice, and it was soooo good. Although the first sandwich I tried It was lacking garlic sauce, however, I let them know the second time and they took care of that. I really recommend the Chicken Shawerma, great sandwich for sure! Customer service was great, and very friendly!

I travel frequently through dca and want so badly to like this place, as I do like the Lebanese taverna restaurants around DC. Service is so, so, soooooo poor. Besides being way too slow for a busy airport terminal and I overpriced, the employees just have no familiarity with the food and are not able to answer questions or solve the smallest of problems that pop up. «I’d like the falafel pita.» «We don’t have falafel right now.» «Ok… Do you know when you will have falafel?» «No.» “So… Like in a few minutes? Or like an hour?” «I have no idea.» Maybe I’m setting the bar too high? I also ordered a platter and they were out of 1 item. So I asked if I could replace it. They told me no but expected me to pay full price for ¾ of the order that was fulfilled. This place needs to provide some training to their people. What a mess.

I couldn’t wait for this place to open but the people who work here are clueless about the menu I ordered a B3 falafel plate the woman taking my order had no idea what I was talking about so I kept pointing at the menu B3, then two other woman asked what I wanted after I had already paid. Then I got a falafel sandwich, no plate. 12 bucks for a sandwich and a drink with no ice

I’m pretty sure I got food poisoning from this place. Watch out! Even if my tummy troubles are coincidental, the meat was dry and the portions were much smaller than shown on the menu. Definitely a rip off, even by airport standards. They were incredibly show, too, despite having a large looking staff and a short line of customers.

I’m bummed. I was super excited to see Lebanese Taverna was coming to the airport. In theory this should be a nice healthy yet delicious option. I had the chicken shawarma. The portion of chicken was small and barely warm. The hummus was tasty but the bread was the biggest disappointment. You know how the bread is a highlight in the«real» LT restaurants. It’s fresh and hot and deliciously soft. Here is a huge letdown. It was hard and tough to even tear apart to eat with hummus. It tasted like maybe it was made yesterday. There was some really nice looking chocolate bars in the check out line but I have no idea what they cost. None of those items seemed to have pricing. I will likely give the place one more try because I like the regular place so well but if the pita doesn’t improve, that’s it for me. I can make better bread at home by just popping the frozen stuff in the toaster which just makes me sad. No Bueno.

#epicfail…$ 5 for a nasty bottled yogurt drink. It must be a family friend or something. Why source from this producer? Gross gross gross.(The cashier offered for me to get a yogurt instead but said that I’d have to pay for that separately.) The mezza platter was pretty decent, a couple notches down from the quality at the restaurant in DC but better than burgers or sandwiches, which are the options next door at the airport. Imagine the Taverna management will get their act together here at DCA.

Terrible. Evidently the«express» monicker removes any semblance of the food quality and customer service for which other DC-area Lebanese Tavernas are known. I was the first in line for breakfast not-too-early on a weekday morning. I unintentionally started a trend, as a long line formed behind me(in which people struggled to wheel their luggage through the frustratingly labrynthine and unnecessarily narrow tensabarriers – foolish geometry for an airport). I wish I had known then to tell them it wouldn’t be worth the struggle. The first cashier(they make you order and pay in two separate – equally unnecessarily long – steps) commanded only limited English proficiency that made ordering difficult, which became even more annoyingly so when the other employees seemingly intentionally avoided the various opportunities to help. The food preparer used pre-toasted-turned-soggy pitas and English muffins as the base for our breakfasts. The egg patties bore inedible scorch marks that flaked off in our mouths, and the intensely bitter avocado was rubbery hard. I typically enjoy Lebanese Taverna, but this«express» location forced me to discard most of my overly costly airport breakfast and sullenly try to make do with my tomato slice(which was actually not bad) and wet bread. One star.

I had a bit of a wait for my flight and I was hungry so I decided to try this place out. they are a bit disorganized but putting that aside the beef shawarma hummus was very good. The beef was flavorful, the hummus was good and it came with pita, carrot sticks and celery. Now if they can just get organized it would really be a hit!

To be avoided, in its current state this concession has no place being in a busy airport gate area. Service is soooo slow, food is way overpriced even by Airport standards, and the food will leave you feeling meh. I went for something that would need the smallest amount of preparation I could imagine, a hummus chicken shawarma, basically a scoop of hummus with scoop of shawarma on top, with a warm pita and a side of vegetable. Took approx 25 minutes from order to food being ready, after 20 minutes I asked them to check my order as others were around me doing the same. The response was they were waiting for hummus!!! There were prepackaged hummus all over the counter! When I told them to I would be happy for them to prepare my meal with the prepackaged hummus rather than wait for fresh to be made they said it was against company policy!!! They claimed to be understaffed but I counted at least 6 or maybe 7 people manning this food counter including the chef and the manager who was taking the orders. They also have a ridiculous point of sale system that prints out little tickets that are duplicated and moved down the line from order taker, to preparer to cashier, with the whole thing appearing to be a total cluster. Missed my boarding group even though I had plenty of time to spare at the gate because they were sooooo slow. A real shame, they are doing damage to their brand with this concession. I suggest they stop and analyze the whole dysfunctional mess.
