This place looks terrible. I mean it looks properly awful. The appearance of this food court shop conveys nothing but a concern for food poisoning and nausea. Looks are super deceiving though. The pizza is pretty good if you like garlicky New York style pizza. It’s heated in an oven right in front of you, and I’d say it’s about a whole notch above what you’d expect mall pizza to be. The kabobs, however, are shockingly good. I mean, my jaw dropped when I ate the gyro meat and the pita. This is a lesson in not judging a book by its cover for me, but also, the shop needs to work on its appearance.

This place is awful. Took over 15 minutes for them to make me the Kafta and Chicken Kabob on a normal rush hour weekday. The Kafta tasted like a greasey hamburger. It was very tough and tasteless. The chicken kabob was very bland and had no taste to it. Awful. The spinach as a side was a bowl of grease and small pieces of clumped nastiness clumped together. The side salad had brown markings on most of the lettuce. I threw away over half of the lunch. You all owe me $ 15! What a joke of a place. STAYAWAY. You have been warned

I often go to this food court for lunch. I end up at Famous when I am really in the mood for pizza and can tolerate a side-serving of abuse with my lunch. The owner and his staff really hate putting the pizza in the oven to heat it up for some reason. They always say it «just came out of the oven,» and it is always cold. The price is decent though and there aren’t many options at this mall.

Since it was my first time at Ballston Mall, after dropping my clothes at the cleaners, I decided to get a bite to eat. I wish that the lady who took my order checked that they even had it before charging me. Decided instead to get their chicken parmesan. Not that great, but the garlic bread is nice. And she also got my drink wrong. Not sure if I’d come here again.

I went here for lunch today and ordered the salmon kabobs. Ugh, I hate when I spend 14 bucks and can’t even eat it. Absolutely gross. The salmon was just yuck — not cooked well and not of fresh quality. The side of chick peas was ok and the spinach was meh. Someone ordered pizza and it looked dry and reheated to me. No real effort on the cooking side at this place. One positive — umm, the staff was friendly. That’s all I’ve got.

Famous Pizza is a hidden gem in Ballston Mall. It’s literally hidden behind the escalator on the bottom floor. The NY style thin crust pizza is amazing. They use high quality cheese and sauce and the crust is the best. The staff is very generous with the toppings and the pie is huge. My favorite toppings are gyro meat and onions(the owner makes this special for me). Ask about their unadvertised 2 large pizza special. Thumbs up from a New Yorker.

They would get 5 stars if it wasn’t for their cold pizza. Their pizza is DELICIOUS. Sadly COLDCOLDCOLD. I asked for a reheat and I could tell the«owner» didn’t like me asking for a reheat. It came back COLDCOLDCOLD. I ordered a pizza again today. They guy said it JUST came out of the oven. ITWASCOLD. I brought it back and stuck it in the microwave. Didn’t want to deal with the funny look from the owner who was a very nice guy but didn’t like me saying the pizza was cold. Oh well.

I got a beef gyro with fries and drink, and it was not well coocked, not even chewable. It was cold with cheap quality meat and fries. Had to wait a good 30mins. Waste of money and time.

I’ve been here twice and I really like their cheese pizza. The first time it was straight out of the oven and really good. The 2nd time it was reheated but it still tasted good. I feel they use real cheese and their crust is decent. Sort of like a high-quality Sbarro’s. One day I’ll try their kabobs, but for right now, this is my go-to lunch pizza place. 2 slices and a soda for $ 5.99 at lunch. Good deal.

This is my go-to spot in the Ballston Mall. The Kabob platters they offer are $ 10 or less after tax and are definitely a full meal; can’t get much better than your meat entrée, rice, bread, a salad, AND a hot side(spinach, broccoli, chickpeas, and more)… and it’s all high quality The pizza is really good as well, they usually have 4 or 5 types ready to go The staff and owner are particularly nice and helpful which isn’t always common around these parts. Overall — if you’re in the Ballston area for whatever reason, this is a great place to check out!

While exploring the ever-so-exciting Ballston Mall, I decided to check out the food court. I didn’t expect much and rightfully so — there wasn’t much offered. However, noticed that this stall had a decent group, so I wandered over. I was not in the mood for kabob, but I’m always in the mood for pizza, and the pizza looked good. It wasn’t bad and is a decent option for a quick slice. Plenty of cheese, though I need a crispier crust. A slice is $ 2.75(incl. tax). Staff was friendly. I’d be back for a slice.
