We are so Lucky to have this store in Arlington Heights. They always have a new selection to choose from every time I shop for some fabulous chippy shabby items to bring home. They also have a wonderful array of homemade jewelry, clothing, décor, and candles for those looking for a unique gift or just for fun. LOVE the technique classes offered as well for Some DIY fun! Such a lovely place with sweet owners!

Love, love, love this fabulous shop! It’s filled with super unique, vintage and repurposed finds(along with some local artisan goods). The owner does an amazing job finding all sorts of treasures on her pickin’ trips around the country. Everyone at Lucky Junk is so friendly and the shop is so welcoming… check it out!!!

This place is kind of weird. Not only is it only open a few times a month, but the stock that was out on the day we were there was really… junk. Like old furniture with the paint peeling off, and not a whole lot else. The clerk was talking to another woman and didn’t interact with us. Stuff was not particularly cheap, either, especially for things like stained glass panels with a pane missing(that isn’t «shabby chic,» it’s just shabby). It was just disappointing, especially after our visit to Vintage Deja Vu not far away. Overall, it definitely wouldn’t have been worth the drive if that was ALL we were doing in Arlington Heights that day. Maybe you’ll get lucky and find a treasure, but unfortunately we didn’t.

Imaginative displays and wonderful finds all around. This is a must stop for your junking travels. Open occasionally on weekends be sure to check their web site for the dates of operation. Wish there were more shops like this around! They do special creative seminars as well. They stock some handmade items from artisans around the area. Eye candy!

I am only giving this place two stars because the merchandise is fabulous. Otherwise, they’d be getting one shinny star from me. I recently moved to downtown Arlington Heights from the city and have spent most weekends since exploring new places and trying new restaurants. Since lucky junk is a bit out of the direct downtown area, I always pass it and say I’m going to stop by but never do. Well I decided to finally stop by on my way back from the city on Saturday afternoon. My boyfriend and I walked In and started looking around. The only other people in the store were a couple of people standing in the back in the group. I didn’t know who was an employee and who wasn’t, seeing as how none of them even acknowledged that we had walked in. Another couple walked in and walked straight back to the group and everyone greeted them with hugs and welcomes. Still no one had spoken to us. At this point we could tell that one of them was an employee. Long story short, it was so uncomfortable being in this store. It felt like we were intruders walking into someone’s home without welcome. I will absolutely never go back.
