The store manager at this Barnes & Noble does not seem to think that sexual harassment isn’t important enough to deal with. There was an older, white man with white hair and glasses who had been staring at me in the Starbucks café and touching himself. When I brought it to the attention to the staff at Starbucks, he fled the scene. I requested to talk to the store manager and was told they would get back to me. Nothing. They never attempted to talk to me, they never tried to make the store seem safer. I wanted to make sure the staff knew about this creep, at least know what he looks like if he were to come back. I mean, there were kids nearby and their customers were being sexually harassed in the store and the store manager could not have been more apathetic to it. Never coming here again and telling everyone to avoid this store. I have no tolerance for this. I left in disgust and anger.

The staff here is super helpful and they have a huge selection of books. The place is super clean and they also have a Starbucks inside. One of the nicer ones i have been to.

I hope Barnes and Nobles never goes out of business. I didn’t realize how much Borders meant to me until they were gone. I like hardcover books and take pride in looking at my small collection. I save and display my favorites, the others are donated to my local library(a tax write-off). I recently purchased two book there. Each one was 20% off without a membership. If you have time during checkout, let the Barnes and Nobles cashier explain their membership program to you. You’ll leave the store baffled.

Great selection. Great staff. Great café. The only downside is sometimes the store can get a little overwhelming… but if you have the patience and will to browse, you will find some great stuff. Like most stores, they hold the popular items towards the front so to find some reads that aren’t on the best seller list– you will have to dig. Browse through the(HUGE) magazine selection and pick up an espresso from one of the friendly baristas in their café. Probably the best retail service I have experienced in a long time. Constant samples going around, Nook demos, story time for the kids… extremely attentive but they give you enough space to enjoy quiet reading/studying/etc. P. S. Don’t forget the overlooked sections by the cash registers… poetry, music, design, journals, sketchbooks, cards and stationary…

High prices. Lame ass return policy. Not sure why people shop here.

Decent barnes & noble. Went in to kill a little time while my tire was being changed and the selection seemed good. The store was very neat and the staff was friendly enough.

This is a nice B&N– good selection, nice staff, nice café. I have to say this past time I went the music was pretty horrible. I’ve always felt that B&N was laid out kind of strange, but they are all like that. It’s a nice place to come to study, read, relax, and enjoy some coffee.

Went there several times to find a particular books about pregnancy|baby, software development and had no luck. Absolutely no choice! I don‘t know what selection of books everybody is talking about… I used to go to Borders in Schaumburg and it was totally different experience. They had an amazing selection and very comfortable chairs to sit there and enjoy your time. Oh Borders, I miss you so much.

What makes this B&N a cut above the others is that it’s a big store, yet really easy to find and access what you’re looking for in a short period of time. Employees here have always been friendly and helpful.

It’s your typical B&N… love it, it’s a happy place to go read and it has great selection. I also love that they do fundraisers, like my school’s magazine’s fundraiser each November(which is when I do all my shopping). They also have a holiday book drive for the less fortunate where they stock kids’ books and offer you the chance to buy one to donate when you check out.

5″ of snow and climbing! Stuck in a winter-wonderland with no where to go. Can’t get home because flights are all cancelled. What to do? O.D. on Macchiatto’s and read a bunch of books I’ve been meaning to read for the longest time. Thank goodness for a hotel located close enough to this B&N. Savior of my sanity — somewhat. 1000 + flights cancelled out of O’Hare. I may be losing my mind — but Jeanette Walls’ The Glass Castle is a pretty good read. Picked up a nice sketch pad, gotta get back to drawing… Sorry, for the blog-ish review — I’m tired, I’m cranky and I want to go home! If I’m stuck here through the night, I may have to come back at 7pm for the Story Time — children’s reading! This would be a blast.
