Comfort Inn

Would not recommend. This is probably one of the worst Comfort Inns we’ve stayed at. We were traveling all day in the rain and decided this was a good stopping point. The room was pretty gross. I was surprised because it says that it was renovated in 2014.
*The fan in the bathroom was hanging out of the ceiling and it sounded like a broken car engine when it was turned on (so we didn’t use it)
*There was a large hole in the wall that I had to shove a kleenex in because I felt like we were being peeped on
*The beds were uncomfortable and felt like the springs in the mattress were about 20 years old
* The shower faucet was loose and didn’t stay in one spot so the temperature of the shower water fluctuated between scalding hot and cold
*The door to the closet was completely off the frame and had nails sticking out of it.
*The light above the door looked stained and like it hadn’t been cleaned in years
*there were rust spots and chipped paint throughout the room
*There is zero noise buffer in these rooms. It sounds like the trucks from the interstate are going to drive through the room.
*There were dead bugs stuck to the curtains in the window
*The walls were dirty
Besides the room being gross, the gal at the front desk wasn’t super friendly and looked bored out of there mind. I gave it two stars: 1 because when all is said and done, I was glad to just stop for the night and have a warm place to sleep and recoup for the night before hitting the road again the next day. And, 1 star because they take pets AND don’t charge for them. This is a big issue for people like us who have their furbabies with them.

We ended up not staying here because it was disgusting. The room they gave us smelled musty and old, and felt damp. I started getting a headache about 5 min later. We went down to the lobby to play cards with our kids, and headache went away! then walked back to our room, headache came back! Wth? Room still smelled like before so we asked to be moved to a different room. We walk in, same thing, except this time it smelled extremely antiseptic according to my husband, as well as damp, and musty like the 1^st room. I was ready to leave at this point, but we decided to try one more room because they told us the other 2 rooms were pet– friendly rooms and that was possibly the reason for the smell! Oh that’s lovely! So they give us a 3^rd room… this one smelled just as bad, AND BONUS! there was a dead cockroach right by the door as you walk in!!! We immediately called Hampton Inn across the street and booked our rooms over there. We weren’t charged at the cockroach Inn, thankfully!!!
Oh, and as we walked out the entrance of the «hotel» guess what we saw right in front of the door? Another dead COCKROACH. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! GROSS!!!
Regarding the help from the manager on duty, she acted like she could give a rats ass and said «what smell»?? Until my husband mentioned the word cockroach… then she actually apologized and and refunded us all of our money and said have a good night. Gee, thanks. It’s midnight, we’ve been driving cross country to get home, we’re exhausted, we just want to sleep, and after 3 different rooms, you can’t give us one that’s not disgusting. You should be embarrassed to work there.

Nice and clean rooms! Beds a little hard, but comfy. Love the 24hr coffee availability :). Built in fridge and microwave in the room. Great price! And HBO for the win!

Newly refurbished, more than just a paint job. Clearly still in progress. Friendly desk staff. New room furniture.

What a joke. Says newly remodeled in 2014. This has a fresh coat of paint on the walls and nothing more. Room is dated hot water didn’t work. Bed sucked. The interstate is 50 yards away. You hear the traffic all night long. Defiantly wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

This is the third hotel we’ve stayed at in Arkadelphia and it’s the best so far! It’s a little rough around the edges but very clean. We needed extra towels and bedding and found the requested items in our room when we got back from dinner as promised. Front desk clerk was extremely nice and very helpful. With our daughter in college here, we will definitely stay at this hotel again.
